How I install plugin on linux mozilla

Question

Hi,
I'd like to see the demos which are here:
http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.4.2/demos/plugin/applets.html
I'm running redhat 9
I'm pretty handy with a shell prompt.
Where do I get the appropriate .jar or .so file
and where do I put it/them?
Currently I have
j2se 1.4.1_03-b02
installed here:

When I search for 'plugin' I find...

You will want to change directory into the plugins directory under Mozilla and there you will need to create a symbolic link to the plugin directory within your jre/jdk folder. Note that you will need to be logged in as root to create this link.
ln -s /jdk141/jre/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so Then restart Mozilla and use "about:plugins" as the url in the window to see the listing of plugins that Mozilla recognizes.
Special note - If you are using a version of Mozilla that is 1.4 or higher you will need to obtain Java Version 1.4.2 or higher due to the way these versions of Mozilla have been compiled.
