  • How to know the version of BOBJ enterprise installed

    Hi all,
I am pretty new on business objects, my background is as SAP Basis Admin, with long experience on ABAP and JAVA, but with BOBJ I have had a very simple problem.
It seems to be very confusing to know which version of BOBJ enterprise I have installed, when I check the product version on CMC it says that we have 12.3.2.753, but how do I match that with the version that are mentioned in SAP notes and documentation where they talk about XI 3.0, XI 3.1 or XI 3.1 with SP2.
Could somebody tell me which is the real version of BOBJ that I have and how can I match with the SAP documentation and notes?
    Thanks,
    Zareh Vazquez

12.3.2.x means XI 3.1 with SP3 and Fix Pack 3.2

  • Please help, urgent! How to hold the connection to oracle database

I used java to connect Oracle database using thin driver. But I found out the connection will be closed very soon if I did not make any request of query. I query the database like after 1 mins without doing anything, my application will dead for about 2 mins, then everything become normal again.
How can I hold the connection or is there any other solution? thank you!

Duffy is, as usual, correct. If you have a single-user environment, then holding onto a connection is probably okay (not desirable but also not pernicious). However, once you have more than one user, you will want to use a connection pool. Jakarta Commons (jakarta.apache.org) has an open source pool that is reliable.
But the fact that you are having additional problems makes me believe you are missing a few fundamental concepts, such as transactions. Even if the connection dropped, you should be able to reconnect without issue (granted, with some additional latency). The only time it would pose an issue (above and beyond the ones mentioned above and in previous replies) is if you are not managing your transactions properly.
In short, take some tutorials on JDBC, DataSource, connection pools and transaction management.

  • How to know the version of NI-HSDIO driver installed

I want to update NI-HSDIO driver on my desktop. But first, I want to know the current version of NI-HSDIO driver installed. How can I find that information? Also, can you point me a link on the most updated NI_HSDIO driver download page? Thanks a lot.
    Tieling

    Tieling,
The easiest way to see any of your current driver versions is to use Measurement and Automation Explorer (Start >> All Programs >> National Instruments >> Measurement and Automation)   In the left pane, under My System, you will see "Software".  Expand this and in the list, you should see NI-HSDIO if you select this you will see in the right pane the exact version number that you need.
To get the latest HSDIO driver, or any driver, go to ni.com and select Support and Community on the front page.  Under this you will see Drivers and Updates.  From this you can browse to your driver by category, or simply do a search.  If you search for hsdio, you will get a list of different driver versions.  To get the latest, select Version in the Sort by: drop down box.  This will sort the list from highest version to lowest. Right now, 1.5.3 is the latest driver that we have available on the web.  However, if you have the latest driver CD, this will come with HSDIO 1.5.4.

  • How to update the codec on laptop 2 open my files downloaded from camcorder

I recently purchased a Sony HDR-TG7VE Camcorder and have downloaded the software for this onto my laptop, however after downloading the movie clips onto my laptop I am unable to open the files.
I contacted Sony and they said it is a problem with my laptop and I need to contact Toshiba to update the Codec.
The message I am getting is "Windows cannot open this file. To open this file windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically or you can manually select from a list of programs installed on your computer.
what do you want to do - use the web service to find the correct program
    - select a program from a list of installed programs"
I am using windows vista business 32 bit operating system.
The camcorder is an HD camcorder.

It is really irresponsible to get such answer from cam manufacturer.
They offer product and they must support you with this. it is logic that recorded files should be open on every PC desktop or notebook.
Following their logic everyone who hast this cam and want to watch movies on PCs must contact PC manufacturers for support. It is really crazy.
I don't know nothing about this cam but usually you should have some software dist with software that can help you to watch the movies or maybe to convert the files in other format and watch the movies with standard players like Windows media player or VLC player.

  • How to know the amount of ora 11g page-out  memory (sga and pga)?

How to know the amount of oracle 11g page-out memory ( sga and pga) in the SunSolaris 10 Unix and Linux.
I need to know how many oracle memory are being page-out ( all and for a one oracle server process).
    thanks

You can monitor the paging with vmstat or sar commands.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b32009/tuning.htm#sthref500
You can also get the paging information on OEM home page if configured for your database.
But I don't know if there exists a method with which one can find out how much memory per session/server process is getting paged out.

  • How to tell the version of the ORacle 9iAS?

How to find the version information about the Oracle 9iAS (Not OC4J) from Enterprise Manager? In windows, we can always use help-->about to get the version number, how do I know the version of the application server is 9.0.2 or 9.0.3?
    thanks

AS rel 2 is 9.0.2, never 9.0.3. But AS suite has many many product components that has different version number strings depending on your installations and your set of installed Patch Sets (e.g. you could have Infrastructure 9.0.2.3.0 and Core RSFs 9.0.1.4.0a)
OC4J has been released as 9.0.3, next full AS is 9.0.4 (according to Metalink but who knows, maybe it'll be 10.0.1, 10.1.4 or whatever sounds marketingishly good)
