How implement a gallery into another html page?

Hi,
I am trying to add a few things around the actual gallery but I'm having a pretty hard time figuring out how. It's a navbar and some texts, etc. The problems are e.g. that it's as if there isn't any way to give the gallery a fixed width, the main images a fixed width, to make the scroll less wide, etc.
I have been searching at places like NAPP, http://inside-lightroom.com/, http://lightroom-extra.com/ etc but didn't find anything....
Anyone knows some tutorials or something?

Hi there,
I wonder if sombody can help. I am trying to insert one short
html page into another page. I could not find any option or feature
in Dreamweaver that allow me to insert the page at all. The page I
want to insert has the links and it is a short page, just like a
banner. When I update the links on that page it will update all
other pages in the website. I do not have to open many pages to
update. I have been using FrontPage and I am now converting to
Dreamweaver. Some codes from FrontPage does not work in
Dreamweaver. I would very much appreciate if somebody can help with
the codes.
This is my website so that you can understand what I mean. At
the top of the screen there are many links that are from one page I
inserted into index.html. I use FrontPage. But, Dearmweaver does
not work that way.

I have created a slide show with adobe bridge CS4 ,

To bring one HTML page into another HTML page, use an iframe (inline frame).

How do you copy, for example I work with blue prints and I want to copy a section and copy into another new page?

Forgot to add that it would be an adjustment layer with some kind of mask on it already. The mask is uncentered when copy and pasted which throws it off.
I guess the same question would go towards doing the same for an object. How to copy and paste it over to a new doc, keeping its position within the document? is this possible?

How to embed a swf video into an html page?

I am haing trouble embedding my swf video into my html page. Here is my code:

When I run the page the place where the flash player should be is blank. But if I right click I can select settings so the flash player is there. I'm using absolute urls for the flashvars because I read in a forum that that's what you're supposed to do. Anyway I am a little frustrated that the video won't play. I tried creating a video with no skin and the same problem occurs.

My java 3d code is working perfectly with javac and java command. I can see the result of my game in the appletviewer
But when I want to insert the code into a html page,it dosen t work
the java applet remain grey....

I don't know Java3D, but I know a little applets. :)
Are you sure your browser understands the 3D API ?
applets work with AWT and JDK1.1, (it's your browser than run your applet and not your jdk 1.3 or 1.4), so peraphs you should download a plug-in to run Java3D in your browser ?
for example, if you want to use swing, you have to download a plug-in in your browser.
and another problem is that different browsers work differently with a same applet : for example, IE 6.0 don't run than IE 4.0 or Netscape 3.0
it's the internet's way of life... :)

Include a html page in another html page

How do I include a html page in another html page? I have 7
separate page making up a website. I made a separate page for the
bottom navigation which I want to include for each page. Instead of
making up a separate nav bar for each page.

I have created a Flash animation with Flash 8 and I have exported it in HTML format.
I would like that at the finishing animation, there is an automatical transfer to another HTML page of my choice (for example after xxx seconds), like we could see in the web (redirection in fact). I would have also the possibilty to put an "Skip Intro" link in the animation page for people that don't want wait the final of animation.
How make this operation with Flash 8 directly or I must write an HTML code in it to this operation.

It depends on which version of Actionscript your file is using.
For an AS2 file you use getURL() to link to a web page. You could use the setTimeout() function to delay triggering the getURL() call.
For AS3 you use navigateToURL() to link to a web page. You could use the setTimeout() function or the Timer class to delay triggering the navigateToURL() call.
In both cases you could place the call to the linking function inside another function that you call either using the delayed calls of the functions mentioned, or using a button to call the function for the skip intro.

Say i created a string object called obj, i want to pass the value of the string object "obj" to another JFrame page. How can it be done?

You should keep in mind that there is a difference between static and non-static thingies...

...and you should also keep in mind that Java is case sensitive and Java programmers (well, almost everyone) follow the same naming conventions :
* use Capital letter for classes
* finals all capital (with undercores denoting words)
* everything else have lowercase letter
* capitalize first character whenever "a new word" comes along
You will keep bashing your head against a wall with minor problems until you figure it out. A "Java naming-ized" version of your (presumed) code might act as some kind of starting point?

Importing visual jsf page into another jsp page

I am developing a web application using jsp and struts. I want to embed a visual jsf page that Ive created into another jsp page (which is a normal jsp page, not a jsf one.)
Ive tried quite a few things but nothing seems to work..

Ive surrounded the code in the f:subview tags. still doesnt work.
Ive tried using <jsp:useBean id="Page2" scope="page" class="visualwebapplication.Page2" > .. It does not give me an error, but does not embed the page as well. Do I need to some other code after this to use the above bean to display the page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can I insert an html file as an image into an HTML page?

The site I'm working on (www.ngospen.com) has PNGs for background art - 10 - 15 kb per image. As the site is intended for settings with low bandwidth, I'd like these background images to be as small as possible.
When saving for the web, one of the options is Save As HTML file. When I open the file, the artwork appears the same as the PNG (no lost resolution), but it is a much smaller file size (1 - 2 KB).
Is it possible to insert these HTML files into my HTML pages?

Are you meaning that you work with fireworks?
If so the html and the images you export are flattened images (slices), you have to put those images directly into your html page.
If you want to save the file (fireworks) as a flattened image you could also goto save as -> flattened png.
If you save your image from fireworks just as png it contains the layer information etc. etc. from fireworks, that's why you should save them as flattened png, or just export the slices.

How do I publish an existing HTML page?

Hello,
This might sound a bit basic...possibly because I am not that smart...
I have an NT file system - with in it there is an HTML page with icons and other html pages that are linked (relative links). There are other .html pages and images needed in this area.
I have set up a community and want to point to the existing HTML page on that file system - so when a client goes to that community, that HTML page opens up automatically in a portlet.
The path if Q:\Public\Health\Mainpage.html
I want mainpage.html to open up with the Health Community is selected.
So I made the community, and community page. The was going to place a publisher portlet on it - but do not want the clients to se e a blank page with a portlet linking to Q:\Public\Health\Mainpage.html, but instead see Mainpage.html.
What is the best way of doing this - set up a web service? If so - which one?
Suggestions for a pre-exisiting website residing on a file system?

I would serve up the documents with IIS or Apache and create a standard web service remote portlet to the document.
Another option is to copy and paste the contents of the document into a content item with a long text property. Then use a presentation template which just emits the html from the content item.
Create a published content portlet for that content item. The good part is that you can edit the document in the portal. The downside is that if someone edits the mainpage.html on the q drive, you will have to copy their changes back into the content item.
