How is form data backed up?

Hi,
How secure are the discussions, in terms of retrieving the data in the event of any failures of the Adobe platform or hosting environment? Where/how are back ups kept for form data and how could we access these?
Thanks
Phil

This FAQ explains the security of our system: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1384
Our server infrastructure has built in redundancies in case of failures and the servers/data are backed up. If you still have concerns, you can just export your data to Excel and back it up yourself on your side.

  • How to send data back to publishing stream

    Hi,
Environment: ActionScript3.0, FMS, Flash Project created in Flash Develop
How to send data back to publishing stream? I need to send data back to publishing stream.
Using NetStream.send() we can send data to subscribers but is it possible to send data from subscriber back to publisher using any NetStream method.
One other solution to this is remoteSharedObject, but if it is possible with NetStream class then let me know.
    Thanks

There are a number of ways to extract data from CRM On Demand including:
    * Export - manual process, generate CSV file containing CRM On Demand data
    * List/Analytics - manual process, export the contents of a report of list to a CSV
    * Web Services - programmatic, develop an application that queries for data within CRMOD
    * Integration Events - programmatic, use workflow to trigger event creation and then poll for events to know when an operation occurs on a record (i.e. Insert of new Account record)
As for getting that data into another system, that will depend on the system and the methods available for inserting data that it makes available.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I read my wave form data back from an LVM file?

I collected a waveform and saved it using the LVM file format. I would like to read the waveform back into labview and display it with its timestamp and assigned name. The only way I could read the data back into Labview was to convert it to a number array. I figured if you could write a waveform and save all its data, you should be able to read it back rather easily. I've included my LVM file and two simple programs. The program I'm using is much larger, but these two programs are representative of what I'm trying to accomplish.
    Thanks

    Hi Knoebel,
To display the waveform data, you'll need to change a couple things.
    1. Open the "Convert from Dynamic Data" vi and change the Conversion to have a resulting data type of 1D array of waveform, as this is the datatype you are writing with the "Write To LVM.vi"  Currently you are converting to an array of scalars here, which is why you are losing timestamp data.
    2. Open the "Read from Measurement File" express VI and Change the Time Stamps to be Absolute (date and time) rather than relative.
    3. If you want to display the timestamp on the waveform graph, pull up the properties window for the Waveform graph and change the Display Format to be Absolute Time for the X-axis and then check the Scales tab to be sure you have unchecked Ignore waveform timestamp on x-axes
After making the change to convert from dynamic data type to 1D array of waveform you can also probe the wire going into the waveform graph to check the t0 and dt values of the waveform as you read from file.
Lastly, if you look at the Write to LVM.vi block diagram, you will see a little red coercion dot between the waveform data wire and the Write to Measurement File data input terminal.  It would be better to use the "Convert to Dynamic Data" express VI to make this conversion.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to get data back from an action ?

    Hello,
Would it be possible to get data back from an action (out of the question EO_MESSAGE & ET_FAILED_KEY )?
For example we got an order with order positions and we need a "function" to e.g. count all positions. Because of Performance the function should not be processed each time the order is changed, read or a position is added. Instead the function should be processed only if it was called explicitly.
Is it possible to create a kind of action which is actually counting all entries and export the number of them?
How to mark a parameter in is_parameters as exporting?
Is this just done by (naming-) convention?
What is the preferred way to have “methods” with returning/exporting values?
    Regards,
    Lorenz

    Hello Lorenz,
As you have already figured out , the Action API provides you with only the messages and failed keys if any.
Post action execution , you can always execute a retrieve or retrive by association , to get the latest buffer snapshot , which of course would include the changes that you have made in your action.
If you want to ensure that users have explict control on execution of your "fucntion", then of course , you should model it as an action on the BO.
The parameter is_parameters is an IMPORTING parameter. You CANNOT use it to export anything back from the action. For importing ,  you can of course have any structure to use as the is_paramaters , which you model as the action parameter structure which modelling your BO action.
From an external entity the only way to interact with a BO is by consuming the BO services and you are bound by the BOBF standard interfaces. Any and all data you require needs to be modelled as node attributes ( persistent or transient ) and fetched using the RETRIEVE, RETRIEVE_BY_ASSOCIATION or QUERY services.

  • Cl_rsplfa_plan_buffer - How to write data back to buffer

    Hi,
Our requirement is to read a mapping DSO value in FOX to calculate revenue.
We used function module call from FOX. I'm using l_r_plan_buffer->get_data to get data from plan buffer. It reads the buffer data and I could manipulate it. But I don;t see a method to write the data back.
What class or method should I use to write the alterted data back to buffer.
Or is the method we are using the right way to do it.

  • Need help getting form created in Acrobat X to email form data back to me

The form I created seems to work from my computer that has Acrobat X installed but when I try to submit the PDF with a computer that only has Reader installed it says "This Operation is Prohibited."
The end users of this form will most likely only have Adobe Reader, how do I set up my form so that it is compatible with Reader?
    Thanks for your help!

You have 2 choices and one depends on your satisfying the limits of the EULA (no more than 500 submissions basically). For the latter, you have the entire form submitted and you have to enable Reader Rights in Acrobat. On this machine (AA8), it is under the Advanced menu, not sure with AAX (I think they moved it). For the other choice that does not have the license limit, you do not activate Reader Rights, but have the data submitted as an FDF file (XML if you are using Designer, but then Designer questions should really go to the LiveCycle forum). When you receive the FDF or XML file, you simply go to the forms menu in Acrobat > Manage Data, and import the data. The FDF Toolkit also allows separate manipulation of data files.

Hi riddla182, welcome to the HP Forums.  The programs you may have found, would probably all use the same technology to recover lost files. So if a few didn't work, its unlikely you will find a low cost solution for this. I do not have any recommendations on this topic.
There are many data recovery companies out there, and as I mentioned, it can be quite costly to recover data. You will have to research the actual costs, and determine if it is worth the costs to retrieve your data (if it is still retrievable).

  • How is app data backed up? Odd behaviour (or maybe not)

Original iPad 64GB. Quite full. Automatic syncing off. Music etc managed manually by drag and drop. It was originally synced with another one of my Macs, but I manage music/video on it manually by drag and drop and have added from 2 Macs.
Transferred purchases before trying to update to 4.3, but it kept saying some hadn't been transferred.
I thought they had anyway so proceeded.
Update failed and put the iPad in recovery mode (error 3004).
Ran a restore with latest update , then applied a backup from before the update, though this was only about 6GB.
None of my purchased apps or media transferred presumably as sync was originally with another Mac's iTunes.
Set up to sync with this library and transferred some apps - to my surprise, apps like Goodreader and Pages still had documents I thought I had lost.
I can only assume that restoring a backup somehow restores user generated files associated with apps even if they are not synced to the iPad itself - does that sound right? It's great for me as I might have otherwise lost content but you could potentially end up with orphaned files/folders not belonging to an app on the iPad.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

    lllaass wrote:
The backup does not contain the app themselves.
Makes sense, as they should be in iTunes - I assume the same goes for media. Backing this stuff up would make backups quite large potentially.
For apps the backup only contains the app data and settings. The apps are synced from your iTunes library as part of the sync associated with a restore from backup. SInce your apps were not in your library they could not be placed back on your iPad.
That's the odd thing - the apps were in the library, just that they hadn't originally been synced from there.

  • How to pass data back to MS CRM online from Azure SB with two-way listener?

    Hi all,
I have already setup the integration between MSCRM Online 2015 and Azure using two-way listener.  However, I am unable to retrieve the return string "Success" in MSCRM side, such as System Jobs.  Anyone has idea?  Thanks.
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg334438.aspx
    public string Execute(RemoteExecutionContext context)
    Utility.Print(context);
    return "Success";
    Best Regards,
    Gary

    Hello Gary,
From my understanding, Azure integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM works as follow:
A registered Azure aware plugin sends the execution context to an Azure service bus
A listener process the message as they are queued by the Azure service bus
If the listener is a two way listener, then the listener may return a string response to the plugin
The plugin receive the response and process it
So you need both an Azure aware plugin and a listener. The Azure aware plugin is responsible for sending the execution context and process the response. In your case, you would want the plugin to write the response using the tracing service.
I think you registered the default Azure aware plugin which only sends the execution context. You need to implement your own Azure aware plugin in order to process the response. the sample Plug-ins project located in SampleCode\CS\Azure\Plug-ins implements
exactly what you want to achieve.
I hope this answer will help you.

HTTP Submit Button - How to post data to an IIS Server
    Steveoruni - 09:50am Sep 4, 2007 Pacific
    Hello,
I have created a simple form in LiveCycle designer. The form only has some check boxes, radio buttons and text fields for users to fill out. Everyone in my office is on webmail so the Email Submit button is not a smooth option for getting the xml data back to me.
I would like to use the HTTP Submit button to allow users to submit their form data back to me but I am having trouble. I would like the xml files to end up in a directory on the web server.
I set up an IIS 6 server and granted the Write right to the anonymous web user account. When I fill out the PDF form and click the HTTP Submit button it doesn't seem to work. Are there any special configuration changes I need to make to my IIS server to allow this data to be posted?
Should this plan work? Should I be able to have users use the HTTP Submit button to post their data right to my IIS web server or is there some Adobe server I need to buy for this simple form? I'd also be happy if this could work with Apache; it doesn't need to be IIS. I guess my main issue is that I don't know how to get either web werver to accept data in an HTTP post and save it as a file.
Also, I noticed that when I configure a standard button and set the Control Type to "Submit", there is an option on the Submit Tab to change the Submit As setting to "PDF". Does this mean that my users can fill out my form with Acrobat Reader and HTTP Submit the form to my web server as a PDF complete with their data? If not that's fine, I would be sufficiently happy if the users could post their XML files to the web server so I can open them in the form with Acrobat Professional.
I am lost and would appreciate any helpful feedback.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    HI again,
I want to have a pdf fillable form opened on a link.Once user has entered data, the user clicks a button(or some action to invoke saving). At this point I want the filled pdf file to be saved on a certain directory.
How can save a filled pdf form in pdf format on a certain directory?
Is it possible to dynamically give the final pdf a name so that it doesnt overwrite everytime it saves the file?

  • How to restore data from my Time Capsule onto my new hard drive

My Macbook's hard drive had to be changed, and I'm trying to restore files from my Time Capsule onto my new hard drive, but all I see are three sparsebundle files (one for each Mac we have at home, including my computer/old hard drive). Does anyone know how to restore data backed up in my Time Machine from previous backups onto a new hard drive? Does it have to do with these sparsebundle files? Or, is there another way?

  • Saving returned form data?

    Hi,
I'm wondering if when I have my returned form data back I can then export it including the answers as a downloadable PDF?
I know you can on a paid account which is fine but I would like to know if it will be in the format and design of the original form only now including the filled in fields or is it just a PDF of the form results in a table?
    Thanks.
    Chris

    Hi,
Yes, you could export the responses as PDF. In 'View Responses' tab, you should have an option to "Save as PDF" which is saving the selected response as a PDF Form - one response at a time.
    >> it will be in the format and design of the original form only now including the filled in fields
    Yes.

I think the problem may be missing what "submit" means. Submitting a
PDF form, like submitting an HTML form, sends information to a web
program or script, like an ASP, a CGI or a PHP. It does not just "save
to the server", which seems to be what you are trying to do.
Do you have the LiveCycle Form Manager product? If not I recommend the
LiveCycle Designer forum: more folk there to help.
