How make a button inactive after the click ?

Hi,
how can i make a button inactive after i clik on it ? I need it becasue i have one button which play my symbol (made with this nice course https://blogs.adobe.com/edge/2012/07/18/tutorial-leveraging-independent-symbol-timelines/) but it's not working when the button is in the symbol where there is animation, it's only working when the buttons is a symbol on the stage and on the top of all over symbols, so when i clik on it works and play the symbol that i want but after is still active so i can't place another button at the exact same place of the first because it will play the first button and i need to put 20 buttons, anyone can help me please ? My buttons is just an empty rectangle so i don't talk about turn of the visibility but turn of th "activity"

Here is a sampe on how to use a next and prev buttons to change data.I have some other examples I will add later but this one could give you an idea on how to do it.

If you are playing symbols then use the rigth scope to get to them.
I would make a array of the symbol names and use it the same way like I did the array for the info.
sym.getSymbol(mysymbolArray[i]).play();

How to make a category highlighted after it clicked

Hi there! Just want to know how to make a category highlighted after user click on it, so he will able to track on which category he is currently on?
I've already created 3 categories (links) through creating library elements, I already have the hover effect I made through CSS external stylesheet, everything works, but the category is not highlighted when I browse within it.

Currently, my utilization reports still show past transactions and this transactions are still affecting my limit calculation report.
Am I missing a process or a configuration?

I do not think this customization helps. It only has two options to set start date as start of term or as date of commitment. But what if i want to set in future like your problem. Do we make it date of commitment for all the money market instruments?

However what I mean to say is that if you insert a standard button and try to excute "Apply effect" option on button th option will be greyed out.
Also you can apply the "Apply effect" option on Slide either "On Slide Enter" or "On Slide Exit" option. As what i understand from "Apply effect" option is to create an event based animation triggers using the following steps:
Select the object that is the base for the event. For example, to apply an effect to an object after a specific slide begins, select the slide.
In the Actions panel, select Apply Effect in the On Enter or On Success drop-down lists.
In the Object Name drop-down list, select the object to which you want to apply an effect.

I got a JTextField. I want to test the entered data in JTextField is eight length. If the data is of length eight then i want to enable two buttons. How to make it enable? I am getting the length eight, but the buttons are not enable. What listeners I have to use.

Create a class that extends KeyAdapter. Add a field that is an array of buttons. Override the keyTyped(KeyEvent e) method to use getSource() to access the text area, check the length of the text, and if > 8, go through the array and enable the buttons in the array. Then, when you create the text area, create an instance of your listener, passing it an array of the two buttons you want to enable, and then use addKeyListener(yourKeyListener) to add your key listener to the text area.

After data input in a dynamic form clicks the user send mail button. Before the email submit, the user has to decide going back to the form and validate the input or continuing to submit email.
In case of going back to validate input the submission event must not solve. So, how can i implemente it in java and/or form calc script?

The most easy way to solve your problem is to add two buttons, the first should be regular button and the second is submit by e-mail one. Set the
'presence' property of the second to 'hidden' and add to it your email address. To the first button on 'click' event add the script like this

There are two ways to do this.
1. If you have it, use iMovie HD6. You can put all of your movies into one project, and add chapter markers at the beginning of each movie. This will allow you to play your movies straight through or select the individual movies, like a scene selection.
2. You can use iDVD instead. Check out this post by Old Toad on how to use this method.

How do you get one Button to raise the Clicking of another Button?

Hello,
I have a hide/show region that is controlled by a button (ButtonA). This button and region is pretty far down in the page.
So the client has requested that I created a second button (ButtonB) and place it at the very top of the page, and wants for this button (ButtonB) when clicked to 'click' the hide/show button below (ButtonA).
Can you please advise how to do this, ex:
<INPUT type="button" value="Show All Regions" name="ButtonB" onClick="what do I place here to raise the 'click' of button A ">.
Any advice would be appreciated as I must demo this feature to the client tomorrow morning.

Depends what type of button it is.
If it's a button in a region position, use the optional redirect section
Set the Target to "URL" and enter URL TArget as something like:
javascript:function_to_call();Alternatively if its a region item button, it's a bit more tricky.
What I did was create a new button template (copied from the standard "Button" template, called "Button - link to attribute") and replaced the
<a href="#LINK#">bits with
<a href="#BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES#">you can then add the code (as above) to the attribute property of the button.

In my save button there is a code for insertion of data in database.
In my application when i press save button first time the IE progress bar shows progress but if suppose the user presses the button again
then the data wil get saved twice.
Now if i put a code in button action method to disable it will function only when it will be called in between user can press the button.
How to arrest users for clicking???

How about setting the button to:
yourButton.setVisible(false);
So when your button action is called, this is the first action that is called before your code insertion lines so the button will disappear when clicked e.g.
public String yourButton_action {
yourButton.setVisible(false);
....code insert data......
return null;
Or set the "return null" to return a new page.
Of course, if you wanted it to be visible again after the insertion then you would set
yourButton.setVisible(true);
Alternatively, you could setup a counter that would check the number of times the button was pressed and make the button visible (or invisible!) when conditions are met.
