How much RAM can my computer support?

This computer has four memory slots but I don't want to buy memory that I don't need. Also I am currently running SDRAM-PC133-333, but most sites say that this model computer should run PC120, or 100, or something like that..........will I be ok running the PC133-333? Another question: my internal hard drive only has 20GB and I want to be able to run Logic Pro 8 smoothly what sort of hard drive upgrade should I go with?

Since you mentioned PC100 RAM, you probably have an older Mac. Look at these G4 specs & tell us which one you have. http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g4/index-powermac-g4.html The older Macs came with PC100 (100MHz) RAM, but you can install PC133 RAM because it's backward compatible. That is, PC133 RAM will operate at PC100 speed. Your Mac can probably use up to 2GB of RAM (4 each 512MB modules) while booted in OS X, however, only 1.5GB may be recognized while booting MacOS 9.

Possible Alternative 2 - Larger than 128GB drives can be used by adding a PCI ATA/100 or ATA/133 controller card, one which is 48-bit LBA compliant; or by adding a PCI SATA controller card and using SATA drives.
If you install an external firewire HD, you are not limited in size.

I don't know the Digg article you're referring to, but it's highly unlikely that it's referring to laptop memory. It's likely to be full-sized DIMMs where space and power consumption are less important factors (all laptops use low-profile DIMMs which consume less power and take up less space than DIMMs used in desktop computers).

I have a iMac that was manufactured mid 2011 21.5 inch display. The specs say it can only handle 16GB of RAM but here's the response I got from the RAM manufacturer:
"Whist your official manufacturer specification recommends 16GB maximum capacity, we can confirm that your iMac can support up to 32GB because this has been rigorously tested in this system and is guaranteed compatible.
But I can set up a refund for you, if you would still like to purchase other memory modules."
Here is my response:
"Can you guarantee in writing that 32GB of RAM will work for my machine and not hurt it? If it breaks because of too much RAM do you replace the computer?"
Please advise 16GB or 32GB. By the way, I gave the manufacturer the serial number of my iMac so they shouldn't gotten this wrong.

The MBPs from 2011 and later support 8 GB according to Apple, but third parties such as Crucial and OWC have been successful with 16 GB. The 2012 models support 16 GB.

You can install up to 6 GBs of RAM. There are any number of good choices for a hard drive replacement. I suggest visiting OWC for information on pricing, makes, and models. They also provide video tutorials on how to replace a drive in MacBooks.
To prepare for the upcoming release of Lion I also suggest spending $29 to buy a Snow Leopard DVD and upgrade your OS.

That model supports 2 4GB modules for a total of 8GB, only problem is that 4GB modules are currently at a premium price. Have a look at the spec's in the following article or in the User's Guide that came with your iMac.

There are two answers: the official Apple answer and the "you're on your own" answer.
1 - For the official iMac max RAM, see iMac Memory specifications and upgrades
2 - For the "your're on your own" answer, everymac.com has a list of the Actual Maximum RAM you can put in every model Mac. In many cases this is more than the official maximum RAM.
After deciding how much RAM you want to put in your iMac, I suggest going to Crucial.com and use the memory advisor or system scanner to see what RAM modules are compatible with your iMac.

Bear in mind you can customise the install of Leopard to exclude some languages and particularly exclude printer drivers that aren't relevant to you, this will substantially lower the total required space. 12" Powerbooks are rather fiddly to work on - here's a really thorough guide on Hard drive replacement etc. for your Powerbook:
