How not to rotate relative to the object?

currently i am rotating transformgroups like this:
       Transform3D currenttrans = new Transform3D();
       objTrans.getTransform(currenttrans);
       Vector3f currentVector = new Vector3f();
       currenttrans.get(currentVector);
       currenttrans.setTranslation(new Vector3f(0,0,0));
       objTrans.setTransform(currenttrans);
       Transform3D rotateclockwise = new Transform3D();
       rotateclockwise.rotX(-Math.PI/10);
       currenttrans.mul(rotateclockwise);
       currenttrans.setTranslation(currentVector);
       objTrans.setTransform(currenttrans);But that does not feel right. It always rotates relative to the object. But I want to rotate it relative to the universe (or to my view).
That means I for example: I want to be able to rotate the object like a head that looks to the right, no matter what its current state is. This means in my example: If the "head" is currently "looking down" then it should still look down at the same angle after I rotated it to the right.
I hope u understand (its hard to explain without pictures).

To find where any node is relative to the rest of the universe you can use it's getLocalToVworld method. That should save you a bit of extraneous calculation at least.

    The 'Enter Bar Code' is deactivated. I would like to know how to activate this.

    I think you need to check for IMG transaction code OAC5 & OAC3 and also check IMG configuration setting under
    Application server-->basis services > Archive Link> customizing incoming documents--> bar code scenarios

  • How and when does oracle changes the object status on a view?

    I have HR schema and AWARD schema. AWARD schema has views referencing the base tables in HR. Whenever I refresh HR the dependant views on AWARD becomes invalid. I recompile those views after the refresh.
    Could anyone explain the internals of this object status change process? How does my AWARD schema sense the invalid status? Why it is not re-establishing the status after the data import?

    I refresh HR test instance from production. If you are not so sure about this process...here is what happens ....export production HR schema, drop all the objects from HR test and import the production data into HR test.
    I am not worried about what is happening but would like to understand the internal process (beyond the basics).

    Then I can run the script at  $ expdp01.sh  hrpass
    This is done so that the password will not be hard-coded in the script. Is this a good idea?
    Is there a way to hide the input parameter?

    I have tables that came from Progress. The convert process converted their columns of type array to individual columns in oracle. Their data server copes with this, but I have been asked if it is possible to see a more familiar view for other uses.
    EG. I now have...(only 1 row shown)

  • How separate and rotate pieces of an object in preparation for creation of a GIF in After Affects?

    Here is the image that I'm working with...
    I want to make this object rotate a tight 90 degrees in After Effects and then separate. If you're wondering why I put this up under Photoshop it is because I need to have this model in addition to 2 others, one of the top half and one of the bottom half and button, both turned 90 degrees [preferably clockwise] in order to create the GIF. I need these 3 pieces before I can even consider creating the GIF in After Effects... so if somebody either wants to try and do it for me or to try and help me to do it on my own, either one would be extremely helpful

    Don't worry guys, I actually found the answer all on my own what I needed was to separate the image into 3 files, something I was probably going to do anyways to make exporting and importing the images easier and rotating the two top and bottom half images here's what I have right now (per background removal)Thanks for trying to help... but I think I'm ready to move on to After effects with this one The reason I'm moving it to after effects is simply because I understand simple movement/animation there already... if you're curious as to what I plan on doing with these images, the complete ball will sit in a hole in my border, turn a sharp 90 degrees right and then be replaced by the two half images, the bottom one will fade slowly out while the top is lifted off screen to the right... it's a fancy reveal for my upcoming project thanks again
