How to access Dictionary Structure in web dynpro(Where are you GS?) ?

i had made one person Structure in Local dictionary.
i had already this type of value node in my context.
now i want to make an object of that type by code
       IPersonElement person =wdThis.wdGetContext().createPersonElement();
Then it is giving me error <i><u>type can not be resolved</u></i>.
Please Help Me....
Regards
Sunny.

I am learning WebDynpro from tutorials i have
  in that once they said me to create three views.
         1.Start View
         2.Table View.
         3.Detail View.
In start view 's context there are four elements
      Variable Name               Type
  1. First_Name                    String
  2.Last_name                      String
  3.Date_Begin                     Date
  4.Date_End                        Date
then In Controller 's Context I had also created all above elements with same type.
then i mapped all views with controller 's context.
start view 's all elements i map with contoller 's context.
then  i had created one structure in local data dictionary.
Name of Structure is Person.
and all above four attributes are also there.
Now i create one value node in Table View  type of that is person.
now i had also created binding of table with first_name and last_name.
then in coding
<i>
Public Void onPlugfromStartView( )
//@@begin onPlugfromStartView(ServerEvent)
String firstname =
wdThis.wdGetExc_UIController().wdGetContext().
currentContextElement().getCmpCtx_firstname();
String lastname =
wdThis.wdGetExc_UIController().wdGetContext().
currentContextElement().getCmpCtx_lastname();
Date date_begin =
wdThis.wdGetExc_UIController().wdGetContext().
currentContextElement().getCmpCtx_dateBegin();
Date date_end =
wdThis.wdGetExc_UIController().wdGetContext().
currentContextElement().getCmpCtx_dateEnd();
IPersonElement person =
wdThis.wdGetContext().createPersonElement();
<u><b>Above line is giving me Error that person can not be resolved</b></u>
person.setFIRSTNAME(firstname);
person.setLASTNAME(lastname);
person.setDATE_BEGIN(date_begin);
person.setDATE_END(date_end);
wdThis.wdGetContext().nodePerson().addElement(person);
//@@end
</i>
Please Help Me Sir.

  • How to create dictionary table using web dynpro?

    Dear Experts,
    Please clarify my doubts.Im new in this EP development.
    Im using EP6 portal with NWDS6 for dev.
    My Doubts are :
    Im trying to develop a web dynpro application which captures some data and insert/update in Table.
    => If we create a structure Dictionary in web dynpro application will that automatically create the table in Portal database?
    => If it is automatically created how to insert or update that table.
    can any one plz help.
    thanks and regards,
    Viswes.

    Hi Visweswara
    This will use the concept of EJB.
    Refer these for creating Dictionary tables...
    [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70929198-0d36-2b10-04b8-84d90fa3df9c]

    As far as answer to your second question is concerned,
    => If u create a structure Dictionary in web dynpro application  it will not create the table in Portal database..
    You can access that table via creating a web dynpro iview in Portal..
    Only application can accessed after deployment via iviews in Portal..
    Thanks...

  • How to use a CAS in web dynpro with NWDS 7.0

    Hi, all.
            I implemented a cas project (some entity services and application services). Now I want to use it in a web dynpro project.
    I know how to do that with NWDS 7.1, but it seems  something differernt with NWDS 7.0.
    Can  anyone give me a hand?  Thanks.

    hi
    CAF Core project comes with a sub-project WebDynpro.
    You can implement business logic using CAF Core Service ,integrate it in WebDynpro UI.
    1)Select your CAF project root , right click on it and select u201CCreate Web Dynpro Modelu201D from the context menu.
    2) Switch to the Web Dynpro Perspective
    3)You can find  the CAF Core services have been generated and are available to the WebDynpro component.
        you can find caf services under modelclasses of webdypro project .
    4)Then you proceed with creating component etc..

  • How to put water mark in web dynpro abap Adobe forms

    Hi
    Can any body tell me how to put water mark in web dynpro Abap adobe forms ,
    actually I need to print water mark as back ground in gray color.
    Points will be rewarded of Helpful answer..!
    Regards,
    Sidram

    Hi,
    for more information about layout options in forms, go to your form in transaction SFP, layout view and choose Help -> Adobe LifeCycle Designer Help. There you find information on page layout, e.g. " Objects can be placed anywhere on a master page, inside or outside the content area. As a general rule, do not place objects inside the content area unless your intention is to have other objects laid down on top of the master page objects when the form is rendered. If you are setting up a watermark, place it inside the content area. "
    Besides, there's an Adobe forum where you might get more information for such Adobe questions.

  • How do I connect my netweaver web dynpro

    How do I connect my netweaver web dynpro to the portal? how do i arrange the iviews? how do i add the iviews?

    hi,
    You can create webdynpro iviews in portal in two ways.
    1) from iview template &
    2) from webdynpro java applications.
    If you create from the 1st one, you have to provide two parameters of the  webdynpro application.
    i) namespace
    ii) application name
    you can find these namespace & application name from content admin --> webdynpro --> open your webdynpro project > open the application. you will find two columns.
    left side name is the namespace (eg: local/firstproject) & right side you will find application name.
    If you create iview from 2nd menthod, the following is the link contains creation of webdynpro iview.

    hope this helps you
