How to acquire data and send via tcp/ip

well guys i'm having a problem here
i will have a client and a server....
the client will stay at my home doing some kind of monitoring
and i want that my client send this informations to me here in my work
the informations are 6 variables
3 voltages and 3 currents i already did a program for try the communication
and it works.... i used the random number only to see if i was receiving the values
and it works perfectly
now i have to put the real values... i will use a daqMX.. i don't know the exaclty daq.. but is the  cheapest... because i don't need too much things...
how could i put the client to make this monitoring and send the data to me??
thanks for the help!

I assume you meant the USB-6215, as there is no 6125.
I would suggest looking over this page: Getting Started with NI-DAQmx: Basic Programming with NI-DAQmx. It contains a wealth of information on using DAQmx.
You can use MAX to create a simulated 6215 so you can create tasks and
then implement your code using the simulated device. This will allow you to write the code and test it without actually having the device. Since the 6215 has only analog inputs I am assuming you're using something like a shunt to measure your 3 currents. As I noted, there are tons of examples that ship with DAQmx - just use
the Example Finder to find them. For what you're doing you can probably
get away with just using the DAQ Assistant Express VI. However, that
Express VI generates dynamic data, which you will need to convert to an
array in order to send it over TCP/IP. This can be done using the
Convert From Dynamic Data VI (in the Express palette).
Attached is a simple example using the DAQ Assistant. The task is configured to get just one sample from each channel. You will need to modify the code if you are getting N samples from each channel (i.e., basically a 2D array). In order to run this VI you will first need to create a simulated 6215 in MAX. Please read the documentation in MAX on how to create simulated devices. The 6215 is in the "M" branch when you get the dialog to select a device.

  • How to make a PDF embedded image append a report and send via fax electronically from MS SSRS 2012?

    How can I make a PDF embedded image append a SSRS 2012 report and send via fax all electronically?  Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance for your time!

    Hello,
    1. The report item Image can be used to display the image which  embedded in the report, stored in a database, stored on the report server, or stored elsewhere on the Web.
    For example, you can embedded the PDF image in the report and stored as text in the report definition.
    2.Reporting Services includes an e-mail delivery extension and a file share delivery extension which you can send report to user or group through e-mail or send the report to a shared location on your network.
    If you want to send the report to FAX, you may try to create a custom delivery extension depend on your faxing software.

  • How to Exchange Data and Events between LabVIEW Executables

    I am having some trouble determining how to design multiple programs that can exchange data or events between each other when compiled into separate executables. I will layout the design scenario:
    I have two VIs, one called Status and the other Graph.  The Status VI displays the serial number and status of each DUT being tested (>50 devices).  The Status VI has one timed loop along with a while loop that contains an event structure.  If the user clicks on the DUT Status Cluster the event structure needs to pass the serial number to the Graph VI.  The Graph VI when called fetches the records for the DUT based on the Serial Number and time frame.  This VI is a producer/consumer so the user can change the time frame of the records to display onto the front panel graph.
    I have a couple reasons the VIs need to be separated into independent applications. One being the underlying database fetches tends to slow the threads down between the two VIs; the other is that they may be distributed into separate systems (don't consider this in the design criteria).
    I have been researching the available methods to pass the serial number to the Graph VI.  My initial idea was to us a command line argument, but this does not allow the Status VI to pass another Serial Number to the Graph once it has started (I do not want to allow the user to execute multiple Graph applications because the database query can load down the server).
    Is there a program method that I can implement between the two VIs that will allow me to compile them as two executables, and allow the Status program the repeatedly send an updated serial number event to the Graphs program.
    I have reviewed many methods; Pipes (oglib_pipe), Action Engine, and Shared Variable.  I am not sure which method will give me the ability to use a Event driven structure to inform the Graphs program when to update the serial number.  Any suggestions and tutorials or examples would be greatly appreciated.

    I have used the Action Engine (aka: functional global) approach for many years and it works well. Something to think about is that if you make the event's datatype a variant the only code that will need to know the actual structure of the event will be the function that needs to respond to it. Hence, a single event can service multiple functions.
    Simply create a cluster containing an enum typedef that is a list of the functions that the event will service, and a variant that will be the function event data. From anywhere in the code you can fire the event (via the functional global) by selecting the function from the enum and converting function specific data to a variant. On the receiving end the event handler uses the enum to determine the function that is to get the data and sends the variant to it. The event handler doesn't know or care what the actual event data is so you could in theory add new functions without modifying the event handler.

    I have to read the spool data and send it via e-mail as .txt or .xls attachment. I have used FMs LIST_TO_ASCI, RSPO_RETURN_SPOOLJOB and SO_SOLITAB_TO_SOLIXTAB. I am using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send e-mail.
    My problem is, the text file being sent is not showing entire data. It's getting truncated after 255 characters. Is this a standard? If yes, then is there any work around for it?
    Alternatively, I can send the file as excel attachment. How can this be done?
    Thanks,
    Ashwini

    You will have to convert string to Xstring and then to binary to acheive this.
    Check this wiki to send a mail attachment with more than 255 characters.

    BKBK,
    Thank you for your response. That does adequately cover the
    client-originated sessions, but still leaves the ability I am
    looking for unavailable.
    It did serve to definitively answer my most pressing
    question, however, with this statement:
    Note: ColdFusion cannot create a session if an initiator
    application uses a SendGatewayMessage method to start an
    interaction with a client, such as an SMS user. In this case, the
    sending code must keep track (for example, in a database) of the
    messages it sends and their destinations. When a response event
    arrives, it can look up the origniatorID to determine whether it
    was in response to an outgoing message.
    I will play around with the Application scope to see if there
    might be a workable solution there.

  • How to Extract data and reports from the SAP BW warehouse

    Hi to All Guru's

  • Encrypt file and send via email

    Hi,
    I have a file which I wish to encrypt and send via email. I know how to send by email but wish to send the file (csv), protected. I have read a few boards that say you could zip the file and add password protection. But sadly none of the forums show how to do this, does anyone have any code examples of what packages I would need?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    See the JavaMail Third Party Products list at http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/Third_Party.html.
    Bouncy Castle is a popular package to handle secure email.

  • How to compare date and time together

    Hi,
    How to compare Date and Time together?
    For example in a database table there are two fields rundate and runtime.  I want to compare these two with perticular date and time in the program.  Like, I want to pull all the records where the records's date and time are less than a perticular date and time in the program.
    Hope the question is clear...
    Thanks.
    Kavita

    Hi Kavita
    There is no as such Date and Time Comparision FM in Standard SAP  But You can define your own like this
    <b>FUNCTION ZAV4_COMPAREDATETIME.
    ""Lokale Schnittstelle:
    *"  IMPORTING
    *"     REFERENCE(DATE1) TYPE  DATS
    *"     REFERENCE(TIME1) TYPE  TIMS
    *"     REFERENCE(DATE2) TYPE  DATS
    *"     REFERENCE(TIME2) TYPE  TIMS
    *"  EXPORTING
    *"     VALUE(TWOISMORETOPICAL) TYPE  C
      twoismoretopical = ''.
      if date2 > date1.
        twoismoretopical = 'X'.
      else.
         if date2 = date1 and time2 > time1.
           twoismoretopical = 'X'.

  • How can I design and send emailers using Adobe Muse?

    Hello Geeks,
    How can I design and send emailers using this wonderful software called Adobe Muse?

    Hi
    Are you referring , creating email templates or sending marketing campaigns ?
    We cannot create templates as Muse doesn't output HTML optimized for e-mail output.
    Regarding email campaigns, you can setup this from hosting platform end.

    Hello,
    I have table from code

    parent_id int,
    value varchar2(255)
    Alter table t_tree

    connect by prior id=parent_id
    start with T.PARENT_ID is null
    How describe model data and get select in DB throw topLink.
    Dema.

    So you'll probably have to write a function which uses dynamic SQL to retrieve the desired message text, like this untested one:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION get_msg(p_db IN VARCHAR2,
                                       p_id IN NUMBER)
       RETURN VARCHAR2
    IS
       msg_txt  VARCHAR2(4000);
    BEGIN
       -- make sure p_db is a valid database link ...
       EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'SELECT d_msg FROM msg@' || p_db || ' WHERE t_id = :id' INTO msg_txt USING p_id;
       RETURN msg_txt;
    EXCEPTION
       WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN
          RETURN NULL;
    END get_msg;
    /The you can update likeUPDATE mex
       SET t_msg = get_msg(db_id, t_id);Hth, Urs

  • How to calculates averages and send to a file?(source code)

    how to calculates averages and send to a file?(source code) I need to get started but I don't know where to begin...........the book I have doesn't really say how to handle averages and send to a file.................anybody got suggestions on how to get started? I am a newbie so place in layman's terms.............thanx

    To calculate an average: add all of the numbers together and divide by how many numbers you added together.
    ex: (1 + 2 + 3 + 10)/4 = 4 (4 is the average)
    As for writing them to a file, look over the API for random or sequential access files.
