How to activate MS Excel brocasting in BeX Brodcaster ?

Hello,
when i try the bex brodcaster functionnality, the tool do not provide me the option of choosing Ms Excel reports as it is shown in SAP presentations.
Is there a customizing to do ?

Chea-Lie,
You have to download the BEx Analyzer Workbook pre-calculation service. Go to service.sap.com/swdc --> Download --> Installation and Upgrade --> Enter by Application Group. In the right hand windown select SAP NetWeaver --> SAP NetWeaver --> SAP NetWeaver 04 --> Installation and Upgrade --> select your platform (shouldn't really matter) and download BW ANalyzer Precal service (amterial number 51030723_2) from there. It should have been supplied with the CDs also.
You have to install the service and run it on a PC (XP professional, etc.) or a server. Have a look at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/05/0e044017355c0ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm
There is a how to paper some where out there but not able to re-collect where. I think it comes with the download from service marketplace.

for me its easy to implament logic with * and + rather than AND and OR respectively

As i have mentoned already,for Else case i have considered (Revenue>0) and (Cost>0) only.
Value can be a KeyFigure/Formula/formula variable/CKF/RKF
its not possible to type characters in the formula window so 'N/A'

How to activate another worksheet in excel file and write data into it

I am writing an automation program to collect test data and write the data to an excel file.
The excel file has several worksheets and now I can only write data to one sheet. Can anyone please let me know how to activate another worksheet and write data into it? Thank you very much.

You can do a search in the Example Finder for more Excel VIs.
They will give you a clearer idea of how to go about doing things in the way you need.

Start Excel 2007 without BEx Analyzer 7.0

Hi there,
I use Excel 2007 and if I start "Excel 2007" the Analyzer 7.0 starts automatically. Does anyone know how I can start Excel without the Analyzer? It seems that it's no AddIn (*.xla like Analyzer 3.5) but an *.exe.

Hi,
Go to BEx analyzer -> Global settings and there untick 'Start BEx Analyzer When MS Excel Starts'. That should stop it.

Hi Suresh,
Are you asking about BEx Excel based reports, or the web reports..there are different ways to go about it.
For the excel reports youc an create a workbook template and place the logo along with other custom settings for color, font etc.
For the web based reports you would have to place the logo in your web template.

                        TCode..

Read note 1152612 - Incorrect component type in structure WRMA_S_RESULT_DATA.
The error occurs in Release BI_CONT 703 Support Package 9.
If you require an advance correction for Support Package 9, make the following manual changes if the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG is inactive in your system.
1. Use transaction RSA1 to call the Data Warehousing Workbench.
2. Check whether the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG was already activated by the compilation process the first time you called transaction RSA1. You can use transaction RSD1 to check this by entering 0TCTLSTCHG in the "InfoObject" field and choosing "Display". Proceed as follows if the InfoObject is still not active:
3. Go to BI Content activation.
4. Select "Object Types".
5. Open the "InfoObjects" tree and select "Objects".
6. Search for the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG and select it.
7. Transfer the object and activate it.
These steps activate the required component type /BI0/OITCTLSTCHG. You can check again in transaction RSD1 to ensure that the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG is available as active.

How can I display Excel using Word VSTO Addin.

I am a beginner.
And studying Word VSTO ribbon addins.
I wrote very simple one (works charm );
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application oAPP = Globals.ThisAddIn.Application;
oAPP.Selection.InsertAfter( " Hello, Word !! " );
oAPP.Selection.Collapse();
Now, I have to go on.
I want to display "Hello, Excel !! " from the same addin (from the Word Addin)
I tried to port the following VBA codes (into Word Addin);
   Set oEXCEL = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
   Set oWBOOK = oEXCEL.Workbooks.Add
   oWBOOK.ActiveSheet.Range("A1").Value = " Hello, Excel !! "
   oEXCEL.Visible = True
I do not know how to start from the very beginning.
I can not make "Application (for excel)" object at all.
VS says, the "Application" is not for the Excel but for the Word.
Yes, everybody know it. But, Excel has the same one too. So I tried to make casting. It never works.
I added required reference(s).
Wht do I have to do ?
Is it impossible, naturally ?

How to activate the ATP buckets in APO?

Hi,
We are in the process of changing the ATP buckets in our APO system.
I know the Path in the configuration:
Advanced Planning and Optimization -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP) -> General Settings -> Maintain Global Settings for Availability Check
On the left side you will get three sections:
Global Settings
ATP Buckets (Active)
ATP Buckets (Planned)
I can change the values in (example field Shift Receipt Bucket) the ATP Buckets (Planned) section and save it with a transport. Now the question is how to activate the buckets. Is there another transaction for this? SAP Help doesn't specify how to activate.
Any ideas are highly appreciated.

To activate the buckets one need to check the box 'Current' in the options under ATP Buckets (Active). Also, as referred earlier by Dipthi do look up the documentation under:

The details are as beneath:

If you change bucket parameters (see Definition of Buckets for ATP Time Series), these must be activated subsequently for the ATP time series.
Features
The system activates the bucket parameters in the following situations:
Since activation in each of the situations described below leads to downtime, you should change bucket parameters less frequently than other Customizing settings.
·        Creating the active planning version for a client using transaction /SAPAPO/MVM
If you set up a system again, you should process the bucket parameters before you create the active planning version. The bucket parameters are thus activated automatically.
·        Initializing SAP liveCache for all clients using transaction LC10
In the case of an upgrade, you should process the bucket parameters before activating SAP liveCache. The bucket parameters are then activated automatically.
·        Executing the report /SAPAPO/OM_ATP_REBUILD_TS
The system only rebuilds the ATP time series here.

I FINISHED THE SETPS CONCIDERING THE JSP CODE NEEDED TO GET THE EXCEL OUTPUT ON LOCAL MACHINE.
I NEED TO PUBLISH THIS REPORT THROUGH APPLICATION SERVER.
THE QUESTION IS:
1- HOW TO START AN OC4J INSTANCE FROM ORACLE 9I DS FOR THIS REPORT?
2- WHERE (PATH) TO PUBLISH THE REPORT ON THE APPLICATION SERVER?
3- WHAT IS THE DEFAULT URL TO RUN THIS REPORT AND WHERE TO PUT IT?
4- HOW TO MAKE MAPPING FOR DIRECOTRY PATH TO TRANSLATED AS URL FOR THIS REPORT?

I can't answer to all your questions, however I can tell you that:
2) The directory where to put the report file is specifiend in a file named
<serverName>.conf
in the sourceDire property
<property name="sourceDir" value="/directory/dove/mettere/i/report"/>
that you can find under ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf
3) The URL is
http://<server IAS address>:<port number>/<jsp file path>/<repName>.jsp?server=<report server name>&userid=<user>/<pwd>@<DB conn string>[&<param>=<valore>[&...]]
5) In IE you have only to set the previous URL in the address bar.

As I said in my previous post, column headers in Excel are merely row 1 cells. May be I missing something here, so please be more explicit with your question.
I guess you are using the Excel Report tools, and you want to modify an existing sheet. From my limited experience with the Excel Report tools, it is not possible to open an existing woorkbook (except as template...), so the answer to your question should be "Forget it"...
The work around is to use the example I pointed for you before, and either to write the whole new colum headers as a string array, starting in A1, or to write a single string to a given cell in row 1.
