I have an application and I want to display a confirmation message before people delete a record.
The button on page 42 is number 90 "Supprimer cette fiche". It is a Submit as "DELETE_ALL". I have seen that the delete buttons are redirections to the url javascript:confirmDelete(htmldb_delete_message,'DELETE');, but I cannot use this as my button is not a redirection, but a submit.

Hi Christian.
You can use the same logic for your own processing logic.
the syntax is...
javascript:confirmDelete(htmldb_delete_message,'YOUR_PROCESS_NAME');Replace 'YOUR_PROCESS_NAME' with the name of your page process that handles the bulk delete. Don't for get the single-quotes either side of your process name.

No you shoudl never go into the XML source unless uinstricted to do so.
You can open the script editor (under the window menu). It will appear above the drawing area but below the toolbars. You can resize it if there is not enough room. When you click on an object in the form you can choose an event to script against in the Show dropdown. In your case you will want to choose the prePrint event. A line will show up that indicates the object that is associated with the script as well as the event and other information. Add your script below this line. Once that is done you are finished and your form is ready for testing.

But when I confirm the question, I get the error at the top of this post.
If I push the 'dummy button' directly, I do not get the error.
I do not understand why I should be gettng this error.
Can anyone give me a clue as to why this change would cause the problem?
The error is related to an ArrayList.
I use several of these on the page, but they should be filled with data in the preRender method of the page.
Can anyone suggest a way that I can add confirmation to a button that is created under program control?

Make use of the fact that when an onclick event of a button returns 'false', the action will not be taken.

If that page is your PHP page, get rid of everything that comes before <?php and after ?>. PHP pages do not need HTML in them. In fact, if you run the header code on a page in that fashion you will typically generate the error saying that the header was already sent, because the HTML <head> was already processed so the PHP thinks its a duplicate.

How to add a message to a field in a dataTable row?

I have a dataTable with a var "selectedUser". Each row has a 2 fields: username & password, both editable and 2 buttons: save and delete. In the "UsersControllerBean.updateUser" method associated with the update button, I want to be able to add an error message to the field on the corresponding row where the button has been clicked. How can I retrieve the client Id of the field from the "selectedUser" var associated with the dataTable (that I get from the RequestMap) to add the message to it?
Is there an easier way of doing this? (no, thanks no link button!)

I required to add the messages to error log for invoice. Error log is displayed in Tree format.
The error log getting displayed while processing invoice with help of table VBSK.
We can update the VBSK table information with required message to put in log.

How to disable confirmation message when submitting a pdf form

How do I disable the confirmation mesage, so that the user does not get at message like " you form has been recieved" each time data is submitted?
The reason for my question, is that i have a pdf form that i'd like to fill out offline, store the settings (data) in an array and the when I get online again run a loop that populates the form with the values storen in my array and submits them one at the time to formscentral.
I'm able to make the loop work just fine, however I do not want to see the confirmation message each time data is submitted, because my loop is paused each time the confirmation message appears, and the only way to resume it, is to click "ok".
Hope someone can provide me with some help here

Sorry, disabling the confirmation message is not possible. The confirmation is always enabled.

i would like to now if it is possible to add key figuers before chracteristics in a report.
The report look like this (CH - characteristic, KF - key figure):

but it should look like this:
CH1 CH2 KF1 KF2 KF3 CH3 CH4 CH5 KF4 KF5
How can i make it without dividing it into more reports ?

We are using BW 7.x so the 3.x thing not gonna work.
Our customer made a report template and he wants that it should look excatly as he designed it.
Sivaraja and Reddy A, i am quite newbie in BW so i dont know what you mean. Can you please explain it little bit more. I think that on a query level there isn´t an option to switch between KF and CH columns, or am i worng?
We are now thinking about a macro in excel. What do you think about that?

How to Add error message for component from the baking bean

I am in the situation, I need to add the h:message message component for each component at the time I am looking for an easy process something like I have to add the error message at the bean side, here I am using component binding approach but I am not able to add child for input Text components at the bean side, actually my final target is to add the message for each component when ever they get error and I have to change the style also.....
So please anybody help me......
