How to add global navigation to ui:insert and ui:include components?

Hi,
I'm new to JSF and trying to add global navigation rules to some imported UI: Components, while I've managed to add Global rules for the pages such as say index.xhtml and and contact.xhtml (which) is in a folder called content by i.e., adding the following in faces-config.xml
<faces-config>
        <navigation-rule>
            <from-view-id>*</from-view-id>
            <navigation-case>
                <from-outcome>contact</from-outcome>
                <to-view-id>/content/contact.xhtml</to-view-id>
            </navigation-case>
        </navigation-rule>
    </faces-config> which works fine and the page will off course be found from anywhere in the project how, I've also got a folder called components, which include the header and footer etc. to include in every file, and then want to be able to also create global navigation rules for each component and had also tried adding e.g., this to the faces-config.xml file......
<faces-config>
        <navigation-rule>
            <from-view-id>*</from-view-id>
            <navigation-case>
                <from-outcome>header</from-outcome>
                <to-view-id>/components/header.xhtml</to-view-id>
            </navigation-case>
        </navigation-rule>
    </faces-config>And then I would of had hoped and assumed that I would be possible to use the following anywhere to access the components from the components folder
<ui:insert name="header" />
or
<ui:insert name="header"></ui:insert>
however I can only still access the component with i.e.,
<ui:insert name="header">
            <ui:include src="components/header.xhtml"/>
</ui:insert> And this would be no good in the subfolders only from the outer index.xhtml could this be obtained, the project structure is as follows - hope someone can help please?

    How can we add a common WDP project to an existing project?  We have actually added a common wdp project at the project references screen.  But during runtime, we encouter error.  The error is classNotFoundException.  The class is the class created in the common project.

    Hi.
    I think you need to assign ProB to ProA.
    Step1.
    Open propety of ProjectA.
    Step2.
    Select WebDynproRefrences
    Step3.
    Select Sharing references
    Step4.
    Choose add button.
    Step5.
    If your projectA named "testapp" and you are not using
    DC "local/testapp" is the proper name.
    I hope that it work!!!.

  • How to add document navigator control into a plug-in window?

    I develop a filter plug-in for Photohsop CS2, but I wonder how to add navigator controll in the plug-in window. The navigator works int the same way like Photoshop navigator - moving cursor on the navigator makes the image scroll in the main previes. I want to have both, the navigator and a main preview window in the filter plug-in window. I saw it many times, however, I did not find example in Photoshop CS2 filter SDK.
    If somebody could point me to a resource, that could get me to the right track, i would be glad.
    Thanks

    Chris hello,
    It is good to know that plugins can not control the docunment view in Photoshop. However, my idea was to have preview in Photoshop plug-in window, and then to have small navigator that would scroll the preview. Exactly like on this Photoshop plug-in:
    http://data.unipixels.com/screenshot.jpg
    Please notice tha navigator on the right side of the window. Moving the red rectangle in it will scroll the middle preview window.
    With regards,

  • How to make global navigation in SharePoint work in iPad

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to support our SharePoint application in iPad. Everything else is working fine except for global navigation. We are using the OOTB global navigation where subsites are being displayed as global navigation links onmouseover event.
    (we have not created nodes manually).
    However, in iPad, there is no mouseover event. So the dropdown links are not getting displayed. Onclick of topnavigation, it redirects to the URL of the site.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Vijay

    Hi Vijay,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use global navigation in SharePoint with iPad.
    For achieving it, you can add the following JQuery into each one page or your master page:
    $(document).ready(function(){
    if((navigator.userAgent.match(/iPhone/i)) || (navigator.userAgent.match(/iPod/i)) || (navigator.userAgent.match(/iPad/i))) {
    $(".s4-tn .menu-horizontal ul.root li.dynamic-children a.dynamic-children").bind('touchstart',function(e){
    var position = $(this).next().position();
    if(eval(position.left < -1))
    $(this).click(function(c){
    c.preventDefault();
    else
    var location = $(this).attr("href");
    window.location = location;
    More information, please refer to the link:
    http://tommdaly.wordpress.com/2011/11/10/ootb-navigation-fix-to-support-ipad-i-devices/
    I hope this helps.

  • How to add a Navigational attribute to an infoset

    Hi All,
    I have an infoset for which i am trying to add a navigational attribute. For a multiprovider i could able to see the provision to add a navigational attribute whereas coming to an infoset i couldn't find any option to do so.
    i tried using RSISET tcode to adjust the infoset but couldnt see them yet. Could someone please suggest me the possible solution for this issue.
    Regards
    Jitendra

    Hi,
    after turning on the Nav-attributes in ODS and adjust via RSISET, you will see the attributes when doubleclicking the infoset.
    In Infoset maintenance find your ODS and scroll down the Object list.Can you find it in your Infoset ODS Characteristic list ?
    It should appear as an unchecked checkbox.
    tick it and reactivate the Infoset.
    if this is still not working then go through this notes below
    1082082
    1164196
    1158243.
    But if you want to use attributes for navigation in an DSO, you could add the infoobject itself to the infoset and link it to your DSO.

  • How to add external images onto a control and still be able to resize

    Hello,
    I'm a LabVIEW newbie.  I'm trying to customize the appearance of my VIs, and one of the things I like to do is to import external image and paste it onto the faceplate of the gauge indicator.  I've followed the instruction in the Labview application note using the control editor and was able to paste the picture into indicator.  But when I use it in the front panel and resize the gauge indicator, the image (added as a decoration) doesn't resize together with the indicator.  My questions are:
    1. How to add external images onto a control/indicator and still be able to resize the image automatically when I resize the control/indicator?
    2. How to "add" a new part to an existing control/indicator?  It looks like I can only customize/modify the existing parts of the control/indicator in the control editor.
    Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

    1/ Do not use the image as an added decoration. Instead replace part of the control with the image. Tis is illustrated in the attached vi : the arrow was pasted as a decoration, and also used to replace the slide cursor. Changing the control size do not affect the decoration, but changes the cursor.
    2/ What do you mean by adding new parts to a control. We have just seen that it was possible to modify a control. Now, if you want to include additionnal functionnality, that's another story. You can replace parts of the control, and this can give interesting results.  You can edit a slide control, and replace the numeric indicator by another control, including a numeric indicator, that you can replace with etc...
    But there, it still the same info displayed under different forms. If you want to have several independant functions on the same control, such as a string display and a boolean and a numeric indicator, then that's a job for a cluster...

    Hi,
    The Navigation control can be added into your HTML page in the Snippet Gallery:

  • How to add range navigation to an ADF table ?

    Greetings,
    I have the following code:
    <af:table var="messageObject" rowBandingInterval="0" id="t1"
    value="#{chatForm.chatRoom.messages}" rendered="#{chatForm.chatRoom.messagesSize > 0}"
    summary="message table" rows="5" first="#{chatForm.first}"
    contentDelivery="immediate" autoHeightRows="5">
    I expect that once that the number of rows in the table is greater than 5 then the range navigation controls be displayed. But this doesn't happen, the table gets simply truncated displaying the last 5 rows and the other ones aren't available. What I'm doing wrong ?
    Many thanks in advance for your help.
    Kind regards,
    Nicolas

    Timo, here is what the documentation says:
    "Range Navigation
    When the list being displayed by a Table is huge, you can enable the Table to break up the list into ranges and display a single range at a time. Range controls are provided on the Table to let the user scroll to the next range, or to go back to the previous range. If the total size of the list is known, a control to let the user jump directly to a particular part of the list is also provided on the Table. Use the Table attributes "rows" and "first" to control the range navigation feature. When the user changes the range, the T able fires a RangeChangeEvent . "
    So, it apears that, as a matter of fact, there are next and prev buttons when the list is larger than that the table. Additionally, there is no any scrollbar slider as soon as the list gets bigger than the table. Last but not least, the JDeveloper's Component Palette doesn't expose any othe table type than ADF Faces one. If by "use Trinidad tables" you mean "use manually Trinidad tables", well, I'm afraid that thhis is not acceptable for a Java IDE aiming to replace NetBeans and Eclipse.
    But thank you, anyway, for your reply.

  • How to Design a Page for Both Insertion and Updation

    Hi,
    I have Page where I need to populate a table from Standard PO/AP table and once the save is clicked on the table,
    the data shoudl be inserted in custoim table.
    Ex: Ui table wil have 3 columns and say 5 rows
    - PO#
    - Line#
    - Amount for 'X' purpose
    where PO# and Invoice# is populated and Amount is empty
    User will enter value in Amount column in all 5 rows and click on Save button.
    Now these 5 rows with 3 columns should be inserted into the custom table (PO#, Line# and Amount)
    How Can I design Model Objects for such a requirement?
    Thanks,
    Kamath

    You should create an EO on your custom table and a VO on your EO. As you insert records in the VO, corresponding rows are created as EO rows and when you commit (getOADBTransaction().commit()) in the AM everything would get committed to the DB.
    As far as subject goes of having a common page, everytime you can execute the VO with the bind parameters and check whether a row exists. If it does exist then update the VO Row (I expect the master record to be unique row). Otherwise create a new Row for the master and then correspondingly for the details row.
    Do let me know in case you need additional information.
    Regards
    Sumit

  • How to add shortcuts to user Start Menu and Taskbar or Desktop with using Microsoft Office 2013 Config file.

    Hello,
    How can i add the shortcuts for Office 2013 feature (Word, excel, ext) to the users taskbar or desktop with using config.xml file while installing the Microsoft Office 2013 from SCCM?
    I know how to do that with OCT, but i have another problem if i use OCT. So i have to do it with Config.file, but i don't know which code can i write on config.xml file to create shortcut on desktop or taskbar...
    Regards,

    Hi
    There is a known issue about
    changing the shortcut location for an Office 2013 application:
    When you try to change the shortcut locations for Office 2013 applications in the Office Customization Tool (OCT), you receive the following error message:
    Invalid start in folder. Please try again.
    Then, you add the Start in location for Office 2013 and run a customized installation. When you double-click the shortcuts that are displayed on the desktop, Configure shortcuts does
    not work and you receive the following error message:
    Sorry, we couldn’t find your file. Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?
    To work around this issue, type a single open bracket ([) in the Start in
    field.
    In addition, refer to the link below on "Configure shortcuts" in OCT:
