What is the proper syntax to add one second to a date/timestamp?

Just think about it.
24 hours in a day, 60 mins per hour and 60 second per minute
total of 86400 seconds per day.
So, you add 1/86400 to the date/timestamp column
e.g. select my_date + (1/86400) from my_table;

You use a database query just to add one day
to a Date object? I wouldn't call that the "simplest"
way at all.I was going to suggest firing off an email to the naval observatory and having them carry out the calculation, emailing the result back (maybe using JMS, not sure - web service possibly?) but the OP's way is simpler.

Adding date/time stamp to images

Hi all, we are working with multiples video sources with JMF. Now we need to add on each stream a date/time stamp and a name of the source camera.
Does someone knows how we can do it without manipulate each frame on each source ?

Save the file and give date & time stamp

1. Reading the Excel file from the selection screen as a parameter.
2. Using F.M. ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE reading Excel file into
    Internal table.
3. Implementing the Business Logic.
4. Move output to Final Internal table.
5. Final internal table should generate a Flat file. By using GUI_DOWNLOAD.
6. That flat file should be saved with the name and location given in the Excel.
7. When ever I run the program output file will generate in the same location but with date and time stamp. Because Im running the program for range of employees say initially I run for 1 10,000 employees next 10,001- 20,000 like that.
Whenever I run for 2nd time it will overwrite the previous output, thats the reason Im using date and time stamp.
Eg:

I am not clear with your problem. Based on the understanding of your question,
there can be two cases.
1- U want to insert time stamp in the output file.
2- Time stamp is already there, u just have to solve the overwriting issue.
If your question goes with option 2, You can make use of import parameters
<b>CONFIRM_OVERWRITE</b> : Which will ask for confirmation before overwriting.
<b>APPEND</b> : which you can choose either to append the data to the existing file or overwrite it.
Please inform if the issue is not resolved.

Adding 365 won't always work because of leap years.
You could use the following SQL statement:

you need something that does:
end_date (DATE) := start_date (DATE) + <number of
days> (NUMBER)Not necessarily, because if the duration is just a string representation of a number then it will be implicitly converted to a number and not cause an error
e.g.
SQL> ed

XSLT Mapping: how to add one day to TimeStamp

My requirement is to add one day to current timestamp. Used $TimeSent to get the currenttimestamp. In Expired field, the need to add one day
say Created= 2011-03-30T20:29:13Z
       Expired = 2011-03-31T20:29:13Z

Thanks for your reply. i tried the function and the code is working when i am testing in stylus studio. But the same code gives error when i tested the xslt mapping in PI (Error: TransformerConfigurationException triggered while loading XSLT mapping).
$TimeSent function is working when code is tested in PI , but it doesnot give value in stylus studio. Also Current-dateTime() function is doesnot give value in PI but works in stylus studio. Is there any difference in the functions used in stylus studio and XSLT mapping in PI?
Also if i remove the code used for function(to add one day to timestamp), and use constant value(2011-04-02T23:24:56.763Z)the code is working fine in PI. Please help me to find out where the code is going wrong when tested in PI.

For Creating Customer own Screen - Purchase Order..

Go to the sample code of this BADI.
For this create a Function group with the screen that u want in PO.
In the First method u want to append the screen . There is one parameter im_element.
In this parameter u can mention that in which part u want the screen .Header/Item.
2. ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST
In this BADI u can Check the Complete PO at various Level.
ie Header Level ,Item Level, At the time of Save, Post .

"Set the Search Allowed property to True for any LOV result items you want to present to the user as searchable values. These items are listed in the search poplist the user sees in the LOV window.
At a minimum you must set the Search Allowed property to True for the the result table item corresponding to the LOV field on the base page.
This is from the devguide, I suggest you read it once at least if you have started work on the framework.

If you want to add a field in Elementary search help, get the search help name for the and go to change mode and add the field in it.
If you want to add a field in collective search help, go to included search helps tab and a new search help name and add the fields to it.
I think this should help you to certain extent.
