    There are a number of ways to create a fieldcat.
    For the purpose of this example i will build the fieldcatalog manualy
    by populating the internal table fields individually and then
    appending the rows. This method can be the most time consuming but can
    also allow you more control of the final product.
    Beware though, you need to ensure that all fields required are
    populated. When using some of functionality available via ALV, such as
    total. You may need to provide more information than if you were
    simply displaying the result
    I.e. Field type may be required in-order for
    the 'TOTAL' function to work.

  • To color a specific row in a Table UI element

    Hello Experts,
    We have a requirement to highlight (with distinguish color) a specific row of a table UI based on column data.
    Suppose we have a table with 5 column and 10 row, now if the data on 5th column greater than some XYZ value then we need to highlight the specific row with a different color.
    Can anyone please help me to achieve this requirement?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sambaran Chakraborty

    Hi,
    In your outline, I am missing quite a few prerequisites which I mentioned (not sure if you have implemented them already)
    your sub node, does it have singleton=false, cardinality 1..1 and selection cardinality 1..1?
    The attribute of type TableCellDesign in that sub node, does it have the calculated property to true?
    If you've bound each table column's cellDesign property to this calculated attribute, you just put some code in the generated generated get<SubNode><CalcAttribute> method to set the color
    For instance by just entering the line
    return WDTableCellDesign.CRITICALVALUE_LIGHT
    in that method will render each linked cell to that color
    Not sure what else I can say to explain this, there's not much to code...

    How to print different colors of Strings into JEditorpane?
    Can any body give me answer ...

    JEditorPane contain HTML. So write your HTML using the color attribute.
    Start by read the the API description of JEditorPane. you will find a link to the Swing tutorial on "Using Text Components" which has working examples of using a JEditorPane. It also has an example of using a JTextPane where you can dynamically change the attributes of individual pieces of text.

  • PWA 2010 timesheet: 2 different colors for the rows "Actual " and "Planned

    Hello,
    To make timesheet easier to read and fill, is it possible to have 2 different colors for the rows “Actual “ and “Planned”?
    Thanks,
    soudha

    Hello Soudha,
    By default the timesheet grid shows the cells in white color. But if you have little coding skills or a developer at your end, you can try this using "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\JsGrid.js" java
    script file.
    You may have to modify it but I recommend to take a backup of the file and test in your test environment first.
    Happy troubleshooting.....

  • How do I read text from specific rows and columns in a tree structure?

    How do I read text from specific rows and columns in a tree structure? In a table you can specify the cell to read from but I have not been able to figure out how to do this with a tree structure.

    You need to set two properties to activate the correct cell and then you can read it's string property.
    The positioning properties are the "ActiveItemTag" and
    "ActiveColNum" properties. With them you select the tree item by it's tag and the active column. The string can then be read from the "Cell String" property.

  • How to apply different CSS styles to different table cells?

    I have an h:dataTable table and I would like to apply different CSS styles to different table cells depending on their content. If I were doing JSP I would probably have a <c:if> test on the cells, and give them a style name depending on contents, and then define the styles in a separate style sheet. Is there a way in JSF to do the equivalent? Thanks.

    BalusC wrote:
    How to achieve a cell-specific style is already answered in my 1st reply of this topic.That tells how to apply a style to the text (or other content) inside a cell but not how to apply a style to the <td> as a whole. It would work for something like text font or text color but not cell border.
    I'm thinking I can mark the content somehow and then have javascript traverse the DOM, find marked content, and traverse outward to the enclosing <td>. Is there a better way?BalusC already spoke about rowClasses and columnClass attributes, I assume those are insufficient.
    The Tomahawk dataTable component has the rowStyleClass and rowStyle attributes for assigning CSS to the HTML tr tag. One is allowed to reference the row data variable when assigning values to these. However, see https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMAHAWK-523 for workarounds to bugs in some implementations.
    The Tomahawk column component has the styleClass and style attributes for assigning CSS to the HTML td tag. These also may reference the row data variable.

  • How to apply different styles to multiple spry accordian panels?

    Hi all,
    I have a website that I'm building that has multiple spry accordian features on it.
    I am trying to apply different styles to each accordian. A problem arises when I try to place an accordian within another accordian.
    I have styled two different background images for two of the accordians for the styles (AccordionPanelTab, AccordionPanelTabHover and AccordionPanelOpen AccordionPanelTabHover) which work fine.
    When I try and place an accordian within another accordian the background image for this accordian for the styles (AccordionPanelTab and AccordionPanelOpen AccordionPanelTabHover) has the different style applyed that I stated in the accordion.css file, however the style (AccordionPanelTabHover) has the same style as the accordian it is within even though in the accordion.css file I stated a different background image.
    I hope all this makes sence below is my source and CSS Code.

    Okay guys,
    I figured it out, if anyone was having the same problem as me and looking on this thread for the answer, here it is.
    Firstly if you're wanting to seperatly style two or more Spry Accordions that are not within each other e.g.
    <div id="Accordion1" class="Accordion" tabindex="0">
      <div class="AccordionPanel">
        <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Label 1</div>
        <div class="AccordionPanelContent">
       <p>Content Goes Here </p>
    </div><!-- end #Accordion1 Content -->
      </div><!-- end #Accordion1 .AccordionPanel -->
    </div><!-- end #Accordion1 -->
    <div id="Accordion2" class="Accordion" tabindex="0">
      <div class="AccordionPanel">
        <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Label 1</div>
        <div class="AccordionPanelContent">
       <p>Content Goes Here </p>
    </div><!-- end #Accordion2 Content -->
      </div><!-- end #Accordion2 .AccordionPanel -->
    </div><!-- end #Accordion2 -->
    You don't have to do this, as long as you have seperate ID's for the divs (which dreamweaver automatically does anyway) you'll be fine.
    However if for some reason you want to put one accordion inside another like I did e.g.
    <div id="Accordion1" class="Accordion" tabindex="0">
      <div class="AccordionPanel">
        <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Label 1</div>
        <div class="AccordionPanelContent">
       <p>Content Goes Here </p>
    <div id="Accordion2" class="Accordion" tabindex="0">
      <div class="AccordionPanel">
        <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Label 1</div>
        <div class="AccordionPanelContent">
       <p>Content Goes Here </p>
    </div><!-- end #Accordion2 Content -->
      </div><!-- end #Accordion2 .AccordionPanel -->
    </div><!-- end #Accordion2 -->
    </div><!-- end #Accordion1 Content -->
      </div><!-- end #Accordion1 .AccordionPanel -->
    </div><!-- end #Accordion1 -->
    Too style Accordian 1 & 2 so their tabs both have different backgrounds and Hover background when the content panel is open and closed you have to style it in the CSS they following way;
    CSS
    #Accordion1  .AccordionPanelTab {
    height:75px;
    width:285px;
    background:url(../images/package_spry_tab_bg.png);}
    #Accordion1 .AccordionPanelTabHover,
    #Accordion1 .AccordionPanelOpen .AccordionPanelTabHover {
    height:75px;
    width:285px;
    background:url(../images/package_spry_tab_bg_RO.png);}
    #Accordion2  .AccordionPanelTab {
    height:44px;
    width:469px;
    background:url(../images/packages_spry.png);}
    #Accordion2 .AccordionPanelClosed .AccordionPanelTabHover,
    #Accordion2 .AccordionPanelOpen .AccordionPanelTabHover {
    height:44px;
    width:469px;
    background:url(../images/packages_spry_ro.png);}
    Normally when styling two seperate spry accordions you can just use the following code
    #Accordion1  .AccordionPanelTab {
    height:75px;
    width:285px;
    background:url(../images/package_spry_tab_bg.png);}
    #Accordion1 .AccordionPanelTabHover,
    #Accordion1 .AccordionPanelOpen .AccordionPanelTabHover {
    height:75px;
    width:285px;
    background:url(../images/package_spry_tab_bg_RO.png);}
    The only difference with styling a Spry accordion within another to ensure they have different hover backgrounds when the content panel is open and closed is ".AccordionPanelClosed".
    Hope this helped anyone who was having the same issue I was.

  • How to set different color text in JTabe cell

    Hi
    I have been searching many forums to find how can this be done, but no success.
    I have Custom JTable with MyTableRenderer which is nothing else but alternate the color of rows(cells), CustomTableModel extends DefaultTableModel adding functionality for updateCellContent with different messages.
    I have a column in which cells i want to set these messages in different color.They are not set by user's editing, and by updating the content using the table model.
    Here is the code for that
    public void updateCellContent(HashMap<String, String> messages, int col) {
            for (int row = 0; row < this.dataVector.size() - 1; row++) {
                //This value is hardcoded for now.
                boolean isError = true;
                String filename = getFilename(row);
                String message = messages.get(filename);
                if (message != null) {
                    if (isError) {
                        setErrorMessage(message, row);
                    } else {
                        setMessage(message, row);
        private void setErrorMessage(String message, int row) {
            this.setFileStatus(message, row);
        private void setMessage(String message, int row) {
            String value = (String) this.getValueAt(row, COL_FILE_STATUS);
            ((Vector) this.dataVector.get(row)).setElementAt(value + " " + message, COL_FILE_STATUS);
            fireTableCellUpdated(row, COL_FILE_STATUS);
    public void setFileStatus(String message, int row) {
            setValueAt(message, row, COL_FILE_STATUS);
        }Thanks
    Dimitar

    I have Custom JTable with MyTableRenderer which is nothing else but alternate the color of rows(cells)If I understand you correctly a better way to do this is to override the prepareRenderer(...) method of JTable. You can search the forum for my "Table Prepare Renderer" (without the spaces) example which shows how this can be done.
    I have a column in which cells i want to set these messages in different color.Then you need to use a custom renderer for that column.
    If you need further help then you need to create a [Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program (SSCCE)|http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html], that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour.

  • Different color for JTextPane rows

    Hi!
    Do you know if it's possible to write rows in different colors in a JTextPane or it writes in ForeGround color every row ...
    Thanks!

    You can change colors in a JTextPane by getting the underlying Document and make modifications to it. Here is an example of how to change the current print color:   Document doc = textPane.getDocument();
       MutableAttributeSet attr = new SimpleAttributeSet();
       StyleConstants.setForeground(attr, newColor);
       doc.setCharacterAttributes(attr);

  • Custom row-fetch and how to get column values from specific row of report

    Hi -- I have a case where a table's primary key has more than 3 columns. My report on the
    table has links that send the user to a single-row DML form, but of course the automatic
    fetch won't work because 1) I can't set more than 3 item values in the link and 2) the
    auto fetch only handles 2 PK columns.
    1)
    I have written a custom fetch (not sure it's the most elegant, see second question) that is working
    for 3 or few PK columns (it references the 1-3 item values set in the link), but when there are
    more than 3, I don't know how to get the remaining PK column values for the specific row that was
    selected in the report. How can I access that row's report column values? I'll be doing it from the
    form page, not the report page. (I think... unless you have another suggestion.)
    2)
    My custom fetch... I just worked something out on my own, having no idea how this is typically
    done. For each dependent item (database column) in the form, I have a source of PL/SQL
    function that queries the table for the column in question, using the primary key values. It works
    beautifully, though is just a touch slow on my prototype table, which has 21 columns. Is there
    a way to manually construct the fetch statement once for the whole form, and have APEX be smart
    about what items get what
    return values, so that I don't have to write PL/SQL for every item? Because my query data sources
    are sometimes in remote databases, I have to write manual fetch and dml anyway. Just would like
    to streamline the process.
    Thanks,
    Carol

    HI Andy -- Well, I'd love it if this worked, but I'm unsure how to implement it.
    It seems I can't put this process in the results page (the page w/ the link, that has multiple report rows), because the link for the row will completely bypass any after-submit processes, won't it? I've tried this in other conditions; I thought the link went directly to the linked-to page.
    And, from the test of your suggestion that I've tried, it's not working in the form that allows a single row edit. I tried putting this manually-created fetch into a before header process, and it seems to do nothing (even with a hard-coded PK value, just to test it out). In addition, I'm not sure how, from this page, the process could identify the correct PK values from the report page, unless it can know something about the row that was selected by clicking on the link. It could work if all the PK columns in my edit form could be set by the report link, but sometimes I have up to 5 pk columns.
    Maybe part of the problem is something to do with the source type I have for each of the form items. With my first manual fetch process, they were all pl/sql functions. Not sure what would be appropriate if I can somehow do this with a single (page level?) process.
    Maybe I'm making this too hard?
    Thanks,
    Carol
