  • How to add GOS toolbox to standard transaction

    Hello, Experts.
I want to add GOS(Generic Object Service) toolbox to these transaction: VK12, KE42, KE52, etc.
so that i can store business document directly from transaction.
The question is, what should i do to add the GOS toolbox to these transactions?
    Thanks.

    Hi Jiujiang,
You can do it yourself without basis help. Follow the following steps.
From your transaction, go to System -> User Profile -> Own Data
You will reach a new screen. Select the 3rd view "Parameters"
Add one more line with Parameter ID as SD_SWU_ACTIVE and parameter value as "X". Save
Now when you go to any document with your transaction. Services for Objects will appear to the left of "CHANGE Quotation xxxxx : OVERVIEW".
    Look also this thread:
    Hope this helps,
    Iván.

  • How to create F4 for the standard transaction

    Hi all ,
How to create F4 for the standard transaction for a particular field .
    Bye

    Santosh,
You can create F4 values for a field in a standard Transaction .
    1. First search for a standard search help meeting your requirement .
    2. If you don't find one, create your own custom (z) serach help .
    ( 1 is preferable )
After that, include that serch help to the standard field in the transaction .
For this u need to go to the screen
    ( F1->F9-> screen-> Field )
Click on the property of the field and include the search help .
You ll require the access key from the basisi guys as u r changing standard .
    Hope it helps,

I have uploaded the image through the transaction SE 78.
Sturggling how to attach it to the transaction and the to the transport request.
    Thanks in Advance
    Irfan Hussain

    Hi Irfan,
Standard SAP images which are used in Scripts stored in One table (that table is Cluster one).
and ENJOY SAP LOGO are stored in different place.
    Run the Transaction OAER
    CLASSNAME   PICTURES
    CLASSTYPE   OT
    OBJECTKEY   ENJOY
now you can see the Enjoy logo, and this is another way of uploading the images(of any type).but these are used in ALV"s etc(not in SAP scripts).

  • How enhance the default variant in standard transaction COOIS (SAP&COOIS) as per the user requirement

    Hi,
I have one query that how to enhance the standard default variant (SAP&COOIS) for standard transaction COOIS.
If any one know solution pls share.
    Thanks & Regards,
    J.Goud

    Hi Maine,
    Thanks for your reply.
As you mentioned for your own program, you can control the parameter "I_SAVE", when calling "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY".
so already i have use the same logic and control the parameter through I_SAVE and here i am calling method ALV_GRID->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY instead of "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY".
and it works fine when we execute the report but the logic doesnt work when the user tries to change and save the layout variant on the output screen of the report.

  • How to create custom routine in standard transaction

    Hi all,
Can anybody suggest me how to write a custom routine in a standard transaction?
My Requirement : In standard transaction ' VTFL ',  For each target and source there will be a standard routine assigned, for COPYING REQUIREMENTS. Each routine serves a particular functionality.  I need to develop a new functionality. For that, I need to develop my own routine.
Please give me an idea of how to develop a custom routine and include that routine in this standard transaction ( VTFL ).
    Any Suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanking you in advance,
    Regards,
    Murali Krishna T

    Piyush,
The best way is to create a region in Jdeveloper and import it to server.
Finally create a flexible region using personalization and specify the path the Custom region.
This will help you to have a better control as well as alignment issue to be resolved.

  • How to populate default values in standard transactions

    Hi abapers,
what r the different ways to populate fields with default values while entering into standard transactions
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You can either create trasaction variants with Default values and then create transaction suing these Variant transaction and use this transaction instead of irignal transaction.
    SHDS-> to create Variant transaction
SE93-> to create transaction of this Variant Transaction.
or you can also use SAP memory statements like GET and SET PARAMETERS to set one value in one internal session and get that in another session in an External session.

  • How do I integrate BDS into standard transactions?

    Dear all,
I'm facing a new challenge here as the design guys want the BDS functionality that is e.g. available in transcation WTY available in some other standard transactions.
Has anyone ever done this? Do I need to copy the standard program and treat this like a custom-extension or is there a simpler way to do this?
    Thanks a lot,
          J. Euler

    Hi,
Try to findout the user exit and you can do it in the respective user exit.

  • GOS for the standard transactions

    Hi,
Other than the OSS notes,Is there any way that we can create the generic object services for the standard transactions.
    Thanks,

None of the pre-installed apps can be deleted...look on every page & in every folder...still don't see it? If so: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout...see if you see it now.

  • How to find the code in standard transaction from where event is trigered

I have a configuration in SWEC, to trigger an event, when a PR is change
For the Transaction ME52 (Change Purchase requisition), I want to go to the portion of the code, from where the function module for triggering the event is executed.
I have learnt that F.Ms for trigerring events programatically are
    1.  SWE_EVENT_CREATE.
    2.  SWE_EVENT_CREATE_IN_UPD_TASK.
    3.  SWE_EVENT_CREATE_FOR_UPD_TASK
So, I tried debugging the transaction ME52 by setting breakpoints at the following function modules.
    1.  SWE_EVENT_CREATE.
    2.  SWE_EVENT_CREATE_IN_UPD_TASK.
    3.  SWE_EVENT_CREATE_FOR_UPD_TASK.
But none of these were encountered.

    Hi Sameer,
Why not follow the reverse approach! First check the event getting triggered and then move backwards to the source of triggering the event.
Activate event trace from SWELS and then check the event getting triggered in SWEL.
I doubt if putting break-points in the FM would help...
Check if the event is being triggered by the BO method.
You can check the where-used list of the method and find out the source of the event triggering.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to deny users to call standard transaction variant

    Hello!
We have created a variant transaction (ZME52N) for ME52N, and do not
want give authorization to the transaction ME52N for end users.
We unchecked the authorization check in the SE97 for ZME52N-ME52N pair so the authorization check for ME52N does not take place in the function module AUTHORITY_CHECK_TCODE.
However, we noticed that both calling and called transaction is ME52N in the the function module AUTHORITY_CHECK_TCODE, when we executed the variant transaction ZME52N, and obviously the auth check failed.
Is there a way to lock / disable the ME52N instead of uncheck the authorization ?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regars,
    Daniel

Well, I read your question different, you state "We have created a variant transaction (ZME52N) for ME52N, and do not want give authorization to the transaction ME52N for end users. "  End users for me is non-technical support for SAP.  ME52N will not work for user IDs with SAP_ALL and these are not your typical users.  If this is your goal then SM01 is what you want.

  • Hiii friends! how attached output type to a transaction

    Hi gurus!
how to attached output type to a transaction.
for eg - i have created a outout type zexpt and i have to assigned to transaction VF01.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi
    goto VF02 tcode
    fro Menu
    GOTO  HEADER -> Output
    define there
Output is a link between the Driver Program and the Sapscript,
An output type summarizes messages of the same meaning. It contains parameters that are valid for all its assigned messages, for example appropriate partner functions.
Transmission medium is a medium which the layout will be come out, this may be printout, Fax or Mail
    Check this link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/c8/19884743b111d1896f0000e8322d00/content.htm
    ex-how to config output type.
You will assign output types using Transaction NACE.
Do the follow steps to assign output type
1)Select Application Type V2 which will have description Shipping.
    2)Click on Output types button.
3)Go to change mode by pressing Ctrl+F4.
4)Select one output type which already exists
    5)Do Copy As(F6)
6)Give your output type against Output Type field.
7)Under General data Tab, Give Program and Form routine and Save the data.
i think it a work of functional guy but at senior level i think it is not a big deal for abaper.
    Check the following documentation
In NACE t-codewe have the application for each one. based on the application output type can be defined, based on output type script and print progrma can be defined.
If suppose data can be read from EDI then we should go for condition records.
So whenever we execute the script first composer checks the output type and then execute the program. in program whenever opn form FM will be populate then script will open first. After that again program till another FM will populate if it then script will populate........like it is cycle proces. Composer does all these things and at last it will submit that output to spool.
    Go to the Transaction NACE.
choose the related sub module.. like billing or shipping
    doubel click on Output Types
Choose the Output Type for which whcih you wanted your script to trigger
Then select the Output Type and double click on Processing Routine
Then go to create new entries--> Select the Medium (1- print output), then enter your Script and Print Program detls --> Save and come out
Now go to the Transaction (for which you have created the output type)... Issue output--> Select the output type --> Print....
Device Types for SAP Output Devices (Detail Information)
    Definition
The device type indicates the type of printer to be addressed. When you define an output device, choose the name of the device type that was defined in the SAP System for your printer model, such as Post2 for a PostScript printer. In the case of frontend printing under Microsoft Windows, you can also use the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN.
The system uses the information in the device type to convert a document from the internal SAP character representation (spool request in OTF or in text format) to a device-specific, print-ready data stream (output request). Since a device type specifies attributes that apply to all devices of a certain model, it can be shared among device definitions. For example, all devices in the SAP spool system that are compatible with Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIID printers would use the HPLJIIID device type.
You should not confuse the device type with the printer driver. The device type is the total of all attributes of an output device that the SAP System must know to control the output device correctly, such as control commands for font selection, page size, character set selection, and so on. These attributes also include the printer driver that SAPscript/Smart Forms (the SAP form processor) should use for this printer. The SAPscript printer driver that is to be used for devices of this type for output formatting is therefore only an attribute that the device type specifies.
How do I choose the correct device type?
    • In most cases, the SAP System already provides the appropriate device type for the printer type for the printer model that you want to use.
These standard device types are completely defined and need no modification or extension before you use them in device definitions.
    • You can also download missing device types from the sapserv server. For a current list of the supported device types, see SAP Note 8928 in the SAP Service Marketplace.
    • Most printers can be controlled using a generic format, such as PostScript. They can be switched to a mode that is compatible with one of the standard printers for which an SAP device type is available. In this case, a supported model is emulated.
    • Almost all printers are delivered with Microsoft Windows printer drivers. The system can control these printers with the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN. The Microsoft Windows spool system then performs the processing of the print data.
    • If the specified device types are not available, and generic device types cannot be used, you must create your own device type or edit a copy of an existing device type. We recommend that only those with specialist knowledge of the SAP Spool System and printer driver code do this. For more information, see Defining a New Device Type .
    Attributes of a Device Type
A device type is distinguished by the attributes listed below. If you change an existing device type or create a new device type, you must change at least some of these attributes.
    • Character set: A character set specifies the codes with which characters must be represented in the print-ready output stream (output request). This code replaces the generic SAP characters set that is used internally by the SAP spool system (spool request).
    • Printer driver: You can specify different printer drivers for printing SAPscript documents and ABAP lists.
    • Print controls: Print controls represent printer operations, such as boldface or changing the font size. These print control are replaced by printer-specific commands during the creation of the output request from a spool request.
    • Formats: Formats specify the format supported by the SAP system. The system differentiates between SAPScript formats (DINA4 and LETTER) and ABAP list formats (X_65_132 = 65 rows/132 columns).
    • Page format: A page format is the interface between a format and SAPscript. It specifies the paper dimensions with which SAPScript can calculate the row and column lengths.
    • Actions: Actions are output device-specific commands that are required for the implementation of a format. The action printer initialization, for example, can contain a printer command with which the number of rows on a page is defined. There is a set of actions for every format supported by a device type.

  • Add GOS standard transaction

    Hi experts,
How can add the GOS toolbar to standard transactions like c201, c202 and c203?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,

I check it, but I do not understand the section where say:
The Class CL_GOS_MANAGER is used for activating the GOS toolbar. We have to create an instance of the class. The instance of the class can be created by calling the constructor method.
