how to authorize computer in itunes for the purchased from another account ??

Use that account's Apple ID and password; the procedure is otherwise the same as authorizing it for the first account. If the iTunes library contains protected content from more than five iTunes Store accounts, you may not be able to fully sync it.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

  • How to authorize computer for music

I just got the newest MacBook Air, and I love it! However, in order to download my music onto it from my iPhone, iTunes is saying I must authorize my computer - does anyone know how to do this? Also, does it require a subscription to iTunes Match? Thanks!

My menu bar only shows 'safari, file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, windows, help'. It doesn't show 'store'. Where can I find it so I can authorize? I just bought this laptop so I'm wondering if it's a new design or something.
Don't worry, got it! I had to open the iTunes first for it to show.. Thanks!

  • Authorize computer and error 42408

I try to play any of my bought songs and it tells me I need to authorize my computer. I've been using iTunes on this computer since February without any issues. I tried to sign in and it forced me to change my password which I did. Now when I sign in to authorize it, it gives me error code 42408.

I too am recently running 10.5.1 as a result of a recent upgrade. Immediately after launching iTunes I recieve the error message "An unknown error occurred (-42408)". I've tried removing all Preferences plist files and my itunes library. I've also created a new, dummy, account and tried itunes in there. Always this same error. I'm leery of pluggin in my iphone with this random error.
Does apple have any clue? This appears to be an authorization issue with lots of previous threads about it in iTunes 9.0.3.
This appears to be a systemwide f*-up. Any clues how what else I can clean out to return to a working state.
    Yo! Apple folks!

  • Being asked to Authorize computer, and then get Error Message

Hi, I went to sync my ipod this morning and I got a message to authorize the computer. I haven't done any upgrades since the last time I did a sync, but I thought maybe there was a burp somewhere so I clicked authorize. I then recieved a message "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-42408). Try again later."
So I did, I tried it tonight (about 9 hours later) and got the same message. I logged into my account in iTunes and that worked, so I know I have the right password. I checked and I only have 3 computers authorized to play music, so even if I did add this one on top of that I should be fine. And there didn't seem to be any issues with purchasing things from the store.
    Any ideas?

    Hello mickeygee,
I don't have any direct answers for you, but check out this recent thread regarding this issue for users to have recently updated to iTunes 9.03. There a number of posted potential solutions. Check it out. Hope it helps.
