How to automate template creation?

Is there a way to automate creating a template from a sequence file? We provide templates to our customers and it can be very time consuming dragging each step onto the template, exporting it etc.

Templates are stored in a file called Templates.ini. All you really need to do is give them that file and have them replace theirs with yours. The path is:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\TestStand 4.1.1\Cfg
Or you can go to the <TestStand> directory and click on the Cfg folder.

Experts,
I have the requirement to automate the creation of any type of programs: ie function module (like how we normally create in SE37 together with the parameters), class object (like how we normally create in SE24 together with attribute & method), normal report (like how we did in SE38), module pool and so on.
For example. I backuped my program into a flat file (the entire source code in txt formal or HTML) through a download program and I need to upload back this flat file into another installation of SAP.
Does SAP provide any predefined FM to cater for the above cases or better still, does anyone know of any upload program which I can use for the above requirement.

Hi Kris, I can't use the transport system as these are 2 separate SAP installation in a different place. The requirement came in the form of creation of program to be able to generate FM/Class/Report on the go.

Newbie: How to automate link creation from a map index grid?

We would like the user to jump to an atlas page from the index page (similar to table of contents in a book). There are more than 135 pages in the map atlas. we would like to automate the link creation.

It might be possible to do this with a script, but it depends very much how the file was created and what the contents of it are.

How to automate the creation of this workbook?

I generate the same report for 3 departments at the end of each day and would like to place them in a workbook as 3 worksheets and a fourth worksheet (tab) as the total of the three tabs.
How best can I automate this process so that the formatting (colors, etc) will remain the same.
Please provide detail steps if possible.

what do you mean by that? you create a new query everyday - it means 90queries for a month.
If i get this right, you run the same query with different variables. Run the queries, save them as workbooks with ur required format - and everyday the user would refresh them with the required variables.
Correct me if I got the whole issue wrong

SCAT includes the following main steps
1)Recording the Steps
(Go through the screens you want to make entries to be careful not to forget to fill in Lastname and password as they are the mandatory fields and rest are optional depends on whether u want them to be involved in the script or not. Once done save the script
2) Now declare the values u entered in the script to variables for this go to test case created in change mode and double click TCD then select the "Field List" in the upper left corner of the screen. Now here you can see the values u entered replace any which you feel need to entered with a & . Fields which you donot declare as variables get the values u entered as default values .
after filling fields you wanted backout from screens and save it
3) Download the script to your computer.
for this Select Goto > Variants> Export and save the file with .TXT
4) open the file with excel and fill in the values donot change any entries obtained in the excel otherwise the uploading script will be corrupted.
5)Select Execute Button in the subsequent screen choose the file with filled in entries make sure that the file is not open.
Select the procesing mode as background to be on the safer side
and press execute
it will work if you have performed the above steps correctly.

Automate partition creation

Hi,
Is there any example out there on how to automate the creation of time based partitions?
As an example, I would like to create 1 partition for each quarter and when a new quarter start have a new partition automatically added with the same attributes than the previous one.
I would also have the oldest 4 partitions automatically deleted as soon as the total number of partitions reaches 13.
Any thoughts or links?

The Project REAL design uses partitioning quite heavily. The production system has more than 220 extremely large partitions. How to automate photslide template in flash 8

I have flash 8 professional. I am not a html professional,
previously i used frontpage 2003 for web creation, and now i dabble
with dreamweaver 8 too. I have little html knowledge.
I am trying to create a photoslide using the Flash 8
Professional ready provided templates. There is one called " modern
photo slideshow", which has a controller that the user clicks to
forward or go back to see the photos.
What i want to do is this. I want theslideshow to automate,
ie. play automatically. I dont want any controls to show on the
page, or any skins or text. I also want to change the way the photo
changes to the next one, ie. either by motion, or by fading out,
and into the next one, or something else.
Can anyone tell me how to automate the images? Bear in mind
im a total novice. The help files in Flash 8 don't give you much
information. they annoyingly assume you know it all, and are a
professional.

The Photo Slide show is a Flash Movie that is a simple cut
from one frame to the next. It is somewhat I described minus
placing the images into MovieClips and instead on one frame on the
timeline, a set of frames providing a tween.
You could delete the _controller layer. Delete the frame 1
actions in the _actions layer. Then on the picture layer and
captions layer you would expand the keyframes to extend the time
the photos are appearing. Click on them and press F5 to insert a
frame. The template movie is 12 frames per second so you need 12
frames for 1 second of viewing.
You need to do the same on the other layers but you can do
that to the right where the captions and picture layer end to save
extra steps. On the last frame of the _actions layer you insert a
keyframe and add the action gotoAndPlay(1) to get the repeat loop.
Then if you want to fade in or out content you can proceed to
replacing the images with MovieClips containing them and then doing
the tweening I explained.
Bottom line is you will need to learn about the Flash IDE
timeline and how to manipulate it.

How to automate creation of MS Access databases/tables/records

Can someone point me to some examples that automate the creation of MSAccess database files and tables?
Can I do this with a bat file? If not, a ps1 file?
I bing searched and could not find an example.
I want to test the existence of a mdb (or accdb) file and if it does not exist, create it.
Then I want to see if that mdb (or accdb) file contains a table named "parts".
If it does not contain that table named "parts", create the table.
If that table does not contain any records, than add some sample data, presumably with some SQL "INSERT" statements.
What is the preferred API for this? I was thinking we should use the ADO.NET/OleDB API. I did find a few examples of queries of MSAccess databases with the old ADO API.
ADOX seems very old for creating databases. Is there any thing more modern?
Is powershell the easiest scripting language to do this?

For payment run parameter generation you can use the program SAPF110S and for the proposal run execution you can use the program SAPFPAYM_SCHEDULE.
Schedule these programs via a batch job on periodic basis in steps and give the intended recipients in the spool recipients.

How to automate layer stack creation including layer masks based on filename?

Can someone help me to create a script that would automate the creation of layers including a layermask, based on filenames.
E.g.
Unwrap_001_diffuse.jpg
Unwrap_001_mask.jpg
Unwrap_002_diffuse.jpg
Unwrap_002_mask.jpg
The image with the suffix "_diffuse" would be the layer and the image with the suffix "_mask" would be the layermask.
In the above example the script would create 1 psd with 2 layers.
If there is no file with the ending "_mask", the script would only create a single layer with no layermask.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

For starters the Folder-selection dialog could be used if the images are all in one Folder.
var theFolder = Folder.selectDialog ("select folder");
And then the method getFiles could be used to get the files.
var theFiles1 = theFolder.getFiles("*_diffuse.jpg");
Loading the file as Layers can be done with the ScriptingListener code for File > Place for example and finding the corresponding mask files seems fairly easy.
Are they grayscale or RGB?
But why jpg anyway?
Are those renderings?
If so why not tiffs or some other non destructively compressed file format?

From the messages it seems that system is expecting a Validity end date at PO header & Latest GR date at item level.
Do you have these two fields as required in the PO??
If these are required fields then you need to have process to populate them automatically (Programatically) to resolve the error.

Hello,
to check the errors issued I suggest to try to create the PO converting the PR from transaction ME21N.
I guess that some fields, mandatory for the PO creation, were not filled in the Purchase Request and could not be determined in any different way. If you can't maintain them on the PR you should set them as optional, if possible, in the customizing for Screen lay-out of transaction ME59N, under "Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Define Screen Layout at Document Level".

Automatic PO creation from SC

Hi Experts,
I am using SRM 7.0 with extended classic scenario and I have issue in the automatic po creation. For some Shopping Carts the PO is not automatically created. The SC is having Source of Supply Assigned and all the approves have completely approved the SC. The latest status is I1111 Item in Transfer Process.
I checked in RZ20, ST22 and could not find any error or dumps.
For the SC item under BBP_PDBEI the BE_OBJECT_TYPE is BUS2201 and BE_OBJECT_ID 1, once I trigger the PO creation manually the PO object id is reflected here.
For such SC I am running the report BBP_ALERT_SB_NOTTRANSFERED manually which puts the SC in I1112 Error in Transmission Status and later I can trigger the SC creation from the alert monitor.
For POs created in this manner the PO is created in Held Status without any line items, is this normal?
I have two questions which I want to understand, how is the automatic po creation from SC setup, is there any customizing involved for the po creation from SC to happen automatically?
What else should I check to find the reason why the the SC was stuck in I1111 status and PO was not created?

You need to configure the Purchasing group and this will take care of automatic transfer of Doc to sourcing cockpit. Make sure you also maintain the customization for sourcing always carried out for Prod categories.
