How to block email attachments only from a specific domain?

Using C370 CISCO IronPort How do I block email attachments only from a specific domain?

Hi Daniel,
In order to achieve this, you have three options:
1. Using a new Incoming Mail Policy
- Create a new Incoming Mail Policy and define that domain as sender in policy members.
- Then create an Incoming Content Filter with a condition to match specific file info (for example: filetype, name, size, mime type, etc.)
- Define an action (quarantine, bounce, drop, etc.)
- Enable this filter in newly created Incoming Mail Policy
2. Using existing Incoming Mail policies
- Create a new Incoming Content Filter with condition to match sender address containing that domain.
- Add another condition to match specific file info (for example: filetype, name, size, mime type, etc.)
- Use "Apply Rule" as "Only if all conditions match"
- Define an action (quarantine, bounce, drop, etc.)
- Enable this Content Filter in all Incoming Mail Policies.
3. Using Message Filters
- From CLI -> filters add a new message filter like below:
block_attchment_example_com:
if (mail-from == "(?i)example.com$")
    if (attachment-filetype == "exe")
        drop();
- Please replace the mail-from domain with the actual domain.
If you wish to block all attachments, you can chose attachment size rule in all of above three options with a really smaller attachment size, this will result in matching messages that has an attachment.
Hope this will help.

    3.  Highlight all the resulting names in the "To" entry
[Highlight first name, and while holding shift, highlight last name and all will highlight[]
    4. Copy (Command C) the highlighted emails
    5. Paste (Command V) nto a pages document
    6. Remove the name and anything else preceeding the first < and also the first < of only the first entry whixh will look like this:
         [email protected]>,
    7. Remove the > of the last email which will look like this:
         , Jane Doe <[email protected]
    8. Copy the entire altered list from the pages document
9, Go to Contact Book and click + to add a new entry
10.. Name the entry (XXX Group for iPad) or whatever you wish to call it
    11.  Paste all the copied altered list into any one of the email entry spaces
    12.  Click on "Done"
    13.  Create new email On iPad and click on + in any one of the "To" lines and search for "XXX Group for iPad"  You cannot just key in XXX Group for iPad!!!!!!!, you must use + contact search.
    14.  Enter the selected iPad contact group into the "To" line.
    15.  All the entries will now appear in the "To" line and you are good to go.
Adding or deleting email addresses from the iPad group:
Easiest:  Alter the original mac group in the usual way and repeat steps 1-14 above.  It seems impossible to edit within the emai line of the iPad contact entry.
    Rediculously simple once figured out.
Happy emailling, but please send Bcc so that you don't spread your groups' email addresses all over the internet for spam, viruses, and other unwanted emails.  Be considerate and ask your recipients to notifiy you if they wish to be deleted from the lists you compose.

  • How to block a partner customer from transaction posting

    Dear Experts,
Please suggest/advice how to block a partner customer from transaction posting,As we have two customer categories defined 1.Parent customer 2.Child customer. One parent customer has several child customers and they are assigned in partner function part of the child master record. We have defined the parent customers for reporting purpose only, not for any transactions to be done.
So please suggest how can we block those parent codes from being transacted directly. We wan them only for reporting purpose.
Can we do the restriction on account group level or we have to make a validation for this.
    Please advice.

    Dear Partha,
You need to Block customer against posting -> Transaction FD05 (you can choose foe selected company or for all)
You can block also directly the invoice/payment in the document
Or define some tolerance limits and system block automatically
Let me know if it is not clear

  • How does one email a video from iPhoto

how does one email a video from iPhoto

    One doesn't.
Simply, sharing video via email is not advisable.
Many email services have an attachment limit of 20mb and some a limit of 10mb. As emails are sent through an array of relays, the effective limit is the smallest file size allowed on any of the relays.  That means that video is rarely suitable for emailing.
Then there's the whole issue of Codecs and not all machines will have the codecs to play all videos. Plus, folks with slower connections can find it very inconvenient to download large video files.
Finally, sharing video from iPhoto via email is not supported. All that gets you is the Movie thumbnail. If you feel you must share via email then you'll need to export the video first, and attach that. Use the File -> Export command and set the kind  to Original.
    This User Tip
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
Other than that your options include:
Upload it to a sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo and email a link - these will allow the recipient to view the material online. That will avoid the codec issues mentioned, and the person can still download the video file if they wish.
Upload it to sharing services like Dropbox or YouSendIt and email a link. This will require that they download the material to their machines to view.

  • Need to stop Email Notification only from Compensation workbench

    Hi All,
I Need to stop Email Notification only from Compensation workbench, if is there any possiblility kindly guide me guys as I am stuck up due to this.
    Regards,

    Hi,
I can see two CWB workflows - bencwbfy.wft and benssenrtfyi.wft. These are available under $BEN_TOP. You can open these workflows through the Oracle Workflow Builder and note down their workflow names. Thereafter, you can download the definitions of these workflows (most current workflows from the database) from the database through the concurrent program - Workflow Definitions Loader - which should result in the wft files on the destination you've provided running the concurrent program.
Copy those files from the server, and edit them locally using Workflow Definitions Loader to remove or redirect workflow notifications appropriately. Please be aware that this amounts to a customization so you should evaluate the impacts of doing this on your installation. Also, for CWB to support custom workflow, my understanding is that you need to be at Family Pack J or above (you may wish to validate this through Support, though).

Video's get big quickly, however, assuming it's not too big, just attach it to your email and send it along.
This isn't a reliable method because you just don't know what the limits are on both ends. It is much more reliable to use a free file transfer service like Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, Amazon Cloud Drive, YouTube, etc and just send an email link.
    Eustace Mendis wrote:
You should compress the video file before transferring. Just click on the name video file and go to the File menu. Compress ... is there. The compressed file will have the same name as the original, with a .zip suffix.
That's not the way to compress a video file. Video files are already compressed using lossy codecs like H.264, and if you apply a lossless codec like ZIP you may end up with zero additional compression. In some cases, applying ZIP to a lossy compressed file may cause the file to become larger.
The correct way to compress a video is to export it from iMovie (or whatever) with the correct settings for the destination (email, YouTube, iPad, etc.).

  • How Many Emails Are Sent Using Cres From a Specific Domain

Am I able to produce a report which displays how many emails are sent using Cres Secure from a specific domain?

There isn't a way to generate a "formal" report on this - but, you can tailor your own with using 'grep' on the CLI of your appliance... choose your mail_logs and use the key word "PXE encryption filter"
    Ex.
    <snip>
Enter the number of the log you wish to grep.
    []> 17
Enter the regular expression to grep.
    []> PXE encryption filter
Do you want this search to be case insensitive? [Y]>
Do you want to tail the logs? [N]>
Do you want to paginate the output? [N]>
    Define file selection pattern.
    []>
Mon Apr 14 10:09:17 2014 Info: MID 72 was generated based on MID 71 by PXE encryption filter '_CRES_encrypt'
Mon Apr 14 12:08:58 2014 Info: MID 91 was generated based on MID 90 by PXE encryption filter 'SB_SSN'
Mon Apr 14 12:32:01 2014 Info: MID 94 was generated based on MID 93 by PXE encryption filter '_CRES_encrypt'
Tue Apr 15 12:04:35 2014 Info: MID 103 was generated based on MID 102 by PXE encryption filter '_CRES_encrypt'
Tue Apr 15 16:07:24 2014 Info: MID 106 was generated based on MID 105 by PXE encryption filter 'Default Action'
Tue Apr 15 16:10:50 2014 Info: MID 109 was generated based on MID 108 by PXE encryption filter '_CRES_encrypt'
Wed Apr 16 10:57:22 2014 Info: MID 113 was generated based on MID 112 by PXE encryption filter 'Default Action'
Wed Apr 16 11:00:12 2014 Info: MID 116 was generated based on MID 115 by PXE encryption filter 'Default Action'
So - you can see that 8 messages were in mail_logs that went through the associated encryption filters.  If you export your mail_logs to a syslog server - and have full grep/sed/awk capabilities, you could then just do a count based on the grep string you are after to get the #'s easier.

  • Not receiving emails from one specific domain

    Hi,
I'm having problems with not receiving emails from one specific domain @youmail.dk. It hasn't been an issue earlier, but I stopped receiving the emails late last year. For all I know this is the only domain there's a problem with - I don't have any problems with any other random domain.
There is no rules or anything like that set up, so I have no idea what the problem could be... There's no "failure to deliver" notification send to the sender either.
It doesn't matter if I check iCloud online, on my MacBook or iPhone...
    Can anyone help me?
    Nina.

Comcast Security Assurance manages email system security and should be able to help you with this. Call them at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/dedicated-support/). They will probably want to know the IP address(es) and/or host name(s) of the sending email server(s).
The first-line reps at CSA are sometimes not so helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.
