How to calc accumulate rate in a script logic?

Hi experts,
We are trying to generate a monthly accumulate rate in a script logic. We have a Unit rate in 12 months and we want UnitAccum rate (like YTD) in the same 12 months
Finally, we need to use this new rate in a multiplication.
How can we do it with a script logic? Any idea out there?

We are working on SAP BPC NW version 7.0, SP05, and at the moment, it's impossible to update to SP08.
We have done all the following tests, trying to find some solution, under these conditions (we knew that some tests weren't going to work well, but anyway, we had to try them):
- always for only one product (*XDIM_MEMBERSET PRODUCT=Product1)
- UNITS and UNITACCUM are ACCOUNT base members
- UCostVtaAcumDimFor is an ACCOUNT Formula Base Member ([ACCOUNT].[UNITS],[MEASURES].[FYTD])
- FYTD is a Measures base member for Fiscal Year To Date (we use it because we want to see as Year to Date (YTD) as Fiscal Year To Date (first month of the year is September and the last one is August) (it works well)) (We have also tested on YTD instead of FYTD, with the same results)

In your query, when you say that headcount = 0, do you mean the signed data? In this case, it will difficult to do. When you have a signed data as 0 in SQL, once you optimize the application or compress it, that particular record will go and your logic will not work.
If I look at your logic,
If Headcount = 0, then Salary = 0 Else:
If Month March and Month September:
Salary = Salaryprevious month1 + (Headcountcurrent month - Headcountprevious month1) * (Band Rate + Band Salary Factor)
If Month = March:
Salary = [Salaryprevious month1 + (Headcountcurrent month - Headcountprevious month1) * (Band Rate + Band Salary Factor)] * (100% + Band Annual Increase + Band Annual Increase Factor)
If the application has been compressed or optimized, it will not get any record for that particular headcount and will directly go into the "else" loop. Though, its not correct.
I hope you got my point.

I have read in the sdn that it is possible to get the current values using %DIMENSIONNAME_SET% variable and use it but it returns all the members that were selected in the datapackage.
I would like to know if there is any special consideration regarging the use of variable or if there is another way to solve it.

Hi,
If you want the code to be executed for the current view selected, you can place the code in Default logic which executes the logic for what ever current view values you send the data through Input schedule.
The key word you have mentined is for script running through Data Manager which gets the value selected through user promt.

How to use total elements in a script logic?

I am using BPC 7.0 MS. I need to create a calculation using script logic as follows:
The application name is GYP and it is composed by the following dimensions:
PL (Account type) in this dimension are the units
Time
Category
Entity
Product
RptCurrency
I would like to make a calculation like this:
UNITS of any product (base element) and any entity (base element) for the BUDGET category and LC currency divided by UNITS of TotalEntity.
Also, I would like to check before the calculation if UNITS have any value to proceed with that calculation.

In the PL dimension i have an element called UNITS and another one called UNITSBYX. I would like to get a calculation like this:
For the BUDGET category and LC currency.
UNITSBYX = UNITS for each ENTITY / UNITS for ALL_ENTITIES
Let's say I have three entities:
Units for Entity1 = 50
Units for Entity2 = 100
Units for Entity3 = 300
Units for All_Entities = 450
The calculation should be like this:
UNITSBYX = Units for Entity1 / Units for All_Entities
UNITSBYX = 50 / 450
UNITSBYX = 0.11
UNITSBYX = Units for Entity2 / Units for All_Entities
UNITSBYX = 100 / 450
UNITSBYX = 0.22

How to specify a variable in the script logic

I want to pass a variable from the process chain using the prompt statement.
I want to refer to the variable name in the script. When I used the following statement in the script file, I got an error when validating the statement below:
//Increase Wage and Salary & Personnel Exp. by entered percentage
[P_ACCT].[#CE0004020] = [P_ACCT].[CE0004020] * ( 1 + $WS_PERCT$ / 100)
Syntax error:Reference Error: $WS_PERCT$ is not defined
One of the how-to guides indicated that I should use the dollar sign before and after the variable name.
Can someone explain how to specify a variable name in the script.

I tried using the syntax with the # sign (as shown below) but when I validate the code I get an error. The message indicates there is an issue with $WS_PERCT$.
Syntax error:Reference Error: $WS_PERCT$ is not defined

The above script logic is not working if the user doesnt have access to the other entity to which data is copied into.
However, as per our business requirement, we need to restrict the access to the users to thier respective entites.
Hence, i would be glad to know, How can I overcome this limitation, or, how can I bypass the authorization through script logic??

MEASURES in script logic

Hi All!
How can I use YTD measures in script logic? My aplication is PERIODIC ( YTDInput set to No) and I need in my script logic to use YTD values for some calculation. I tried following syntax

Send parameter from one script logic to another. SAP BPC 7.5 NW.

Before i start, want to apologize for my English.
We work on SAP BPC 7.5 for NetWeaver.
In general, we want to send parameter from one Script logic file to another script logic file.
I will explain why :
1. We have parametr like %C_CATEGORY_SET% (and another four parameter, like groups, currency and etc.) that work on one script(next, i will named it A_Script).
       We will send this parametr from BPC EXCEL (we will create button, then use command MNU_eData_SelectPackage(we also set parameters) and run package that we need, also before we set script for this package by the SAP Guide. We send some data, and this A_Script work good. Everything that we want from this script work correctly. )
2. Next we create another script(B_Script) , and we want use %C_CATEGORY_SET%, but we don't know how use this parametr, if we will just write this parametr on Script Logic, apears error ("C_CATEGORYDATAVALUE" is not assigned to the Data Administrator). We try to solve this problem by using System_Constants.lgf, but we get error.

If we will change %C_CATEGORY_SET% for ACTUAL, and also change another parameters, script will work, package will run correctly. But we need using parameters, because we didn't exactly what will choose our client.
Our question have BPC Script Logic some kind of Globar Parameter(Variable), that we will set in A_Script, and then use them on B_Script?
How can we define parameter from another script logic, maybe we should send it?
Should we use System_Constants for solving this problem, if yes, how?

1. About %ENTITYSET% it is normal. Before this line i write :
*SELECT(%ENTITYSET%, "ENTITY", GROUPS, "[ID]=%GROUPS_SET%")
So it is not this problem. %ENTITYSET% just parameter, that i used.
2. Are you running the scripts using the same data manager package? I am running two different package for 2 different Script.
For example aPackage for aScript, and bPackage for bScript.
My questions was how can i send parametr from one script to another, for example i can run another script by using BADi command Runlogic, but how can send parameter that i need to used on another script. I have for example parameter %GROUPS_SET% (CG001) on aScript, but i can't get this parameter on another script, if i write %GROUPS_SET% i will get error ("GROUPSDATAVALUE" is not assigned to the Data Administrator)

Maybe if you will answer for next question, i will be able solve problem , How can i send parameter CG001 (this is %GROUPS_SET%, for example it stay in EXCEL in cell A5) from excel to script logic by running package. Maybe i can get cell value on Dynamic Script Data Management?

Calling script logic

Hey guys, I know how to create a custom script logic but lets say i have abcd.lgf file. Now can someone please tell me how to have the user run this script logic? I know that if i do #include abcd.lgf in default.lgf it will run automatically anytime user sends data. what about other ways?

Hi,
The script logic need to be linked to a SSIS package and this will be linked to the DM package.
You need not create a SSIS package from scratch. You can create a copy of an existing one (may be fx retatement). These SSIS packages are available in the server with the extension as DTSX. Create a copy of this SSIS package. Now in BPC excel, create a new DM package and link this to the copied SSIS package. Now go to the advanced script of the DM package. There you will be able to see a statement for logic. Maintain it as your script name.

I am trying to write the logic for Price*Quantity Calculation. This logic should be executed whenever user saves the data for either Quantity or Price.
For this i created a Implementation on BADI "UJ_CUSTOM_LOGIC". But i am struck on how to read the data from InfoCube ,Like if user saves "Quantity",logic should read "Price" from the cube and calculate the result, Which is equivalent to GET(------) statement in SQL script Logic. Which method should i call to read the saved data in cube.

I have two applications, one called RATE (Dimensions: Category, InputCurrency, Rate, RateEntity, Time) and one called GYP (Dimensions: Category, Entity, PL, Producto, RptCurrency, Time. In the GYP application for Revenues. I have the followings products:

The special characters ("-") cannot be used. The product codes use the special character ("_").
I understand what you said about the property for the dimension Product but not for the dimension Rate. I have the lookup that has the four elements (DPC1, DPC11, DPC3, DPC13). It is not supposed to get the data from those elements directly when using the lookup?

we need to create two pages, one of landscape and another of potrait.
now after filling the data at last we need to call the page which is of format landscape using START_FORM function module.
You can use condition &PAGE& = &FORMPAGES&.

it is almost the same as normal ABAP, you only have to use & before and after the variable and the variable has to be in capitals and you have to make the line as command ( /: before the line )
IF &A& > &B& AND ...
