  • How to calculate New customers and Returning customers in a Pivot Table?

    Hi,
I have a Pivot table with columns as Order Date, Customer Name, Qty, Cost, Freight, Invoice, Adv Payment. I have only 30 customers and 11000 transactions for 4 years sales period.
How to calculate New customers and Returning customers in Pivot Table for any given Month or Quarter or Year. I am open to use helper column, formula or a calculated field etc
    Thanks
    Arjun

    Hi Arjun,
I have received the file and read it, based on your further explain, I know your requested more clarity. In my view, the requested could be done via VBA code or Select function in other dataset, like Access/SQL. (Because before we count the new
customer and return customer, we might to filter them via rule, the formula need to assign the customer one by one. So, it's inefficient)
Thus, I recommend we try the above workaround: Use macro or Select function in Access. If you have further question about the coding, please post to the MSDN forum for Excel

  • Consignment  sale and contract difference

What is the basic difference between consignment sale and contract ?
    Thank u gurus

Consignment Sales is a sale, in which initial ownership of the stock is with us, the stock being in the premises of the customer. The ownership is transfered on sale of material.
Contract may be quantity contract or Value contract, in which the stock remain in our owm premises, but it ia an agreement to delivery some'x' quantity of material or materials to the tune of decided valuue.
    <b>Consignment Stock Processing:</b>
    Consignment Stock Processing
    Purpose
Consignment goods are goods which are stored at the customer location but which are owned by the company. The customer is not obliged to pay for these goods until they remove them from consignment stock. Otherwise, the customer can usually return consignment goods that are not required.
Consignment Fill-Up:  Consignment fill-up replenishes the stock at the customer site. Since the goods remain the property of the company, this process is not relevant for pricing and consequently not for invoicing either.
Create a sales order using order type KB.
Enter the required data on the customer, the consignment goods and the delivering plant.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a delivery as the subsequent document for this sales order and, after picking has been completed successfully, post goods issue.
The underlying goods movement type is a stock transfer. This ensures that when goods issue is posted, consignment special stock is created for the customer concerned. If special stock of this kind already exists in the delivering plant for this customer, the goods are posted to this special stock.
Order type: KB (document category C: sales order)
    Std. Delivery type: LF
Item category: KBN (not relevant for pricing and billing)
Schedule line category: E1 (relevant for deliveries, uses availability check, 631 (GI consignment: lending) to post the stock into a special consignment category in the delivering plants stock for that particular customer and material)
Copy control rules for the sales doc, item category, and schedule line category.
Use trans MB58 or MMBE to check the stock.
Consignment Issue: The Consignment issue enables the customer to withdraw consignment goods from the special stock that are to be used or sold.
Create a sales order using order type KE.
Enter the required data for the customer, the consignment goods and the plant to which the goods are to be returned.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a delivery as the subsequent document for this sales order and, after picking has been completed successfully, post goods issue.
The goods are then reduced by the relevant quantity in the special stock assigned to the customer. This goods issue also reduces your total stock.
Invoice the delivery which issues the consignment goods.
Order type: KE (document category C: sales order)
    Std. Delivery type: LF
    Invoice: F2
Item category: KEN (relevant for pricing and deliver related billing, special stock indicator W, should determine cost too)
Schedule line category: C1 (relevant for deliveries, uses availability check, 633 (GI issue: customer consignment)
Consignment returns: proceed as follows: Consignment returns enable your customer to return goods to the consignment stock that has already been issued from it.
Create a sales order using sales order type CR.
Enter the required data on the customer and the consignment goods.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a returns delivery for the sales order (the system automatically chooses delivery type LR). The goods issue posting cancels the goods issue posting which was carried out when the consignment goods were issued. This posting records the return of the goods to the plant where goods receipt was carried out.
Create a credit memo for the consignment return you created in Step 1.
Order type: KR (document category H: returns)
    Delivery type: LR
Credit for Returns Order type: RE (delivery or order related billing)
Item category: KRN (relevant for pricing and deliver related billing, special stock indicator W
Schedule line category: D0 (relevant for deliveries, no availability check, 634
Consignment Pick-Up:  The company uses consignment pick-up to take back consignment goods that are faulty or excess materials that the customer does not need. This process is not relevant for billing since the goods remain the property of the company.
It may be beneficial to have a mandatory reference such as the consignment fill-up. In addition to it copy control rules can be used to further control it. In the copy control rules indicate the document flow. As the stock is coming back into the warehouse or plant, you can specify a returns shipping point to be automatically determined. No invoice is necessary, as the goods are not changing ownership.
Create a sales order using order type KA.
Enter the required data for the customer, the consignment goods and the plant to which the goods are to be returned.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a returns delivery for the sales order (the system automatically chooses delivery type LR). The transaction is completed by the goods issue posting which initiates a transfer posting from the customer's special stock to your plant stock.
Order type: KA (document category C: sales order)
    Delivery type: LR
    No invoice
    Item category: KAN
Schedule line category: F1 (relevant for deliveries, availability check against the stock on the customer’s consignment, 632 (Consignment pickup)
    <b>Contracts</b>
Contracts represent special business relationships with customers based upon material, price, and qty. They guarantee a special price agreement with the customer and are usually called outline agreements in std SAP terminology.
There are four different types of contracts provided by SAP. They are:
    1)     Quantity contracts
    2)     Value contracts
    3)     Service and maintenance contracts
    4)     Master contracts

  • How to calculate net price based on customized formula

    Hi  all expert,
I have a requirement in a rental process:
The price of a rental is defined as daily rate (e.g. 100/day) and monthly rate (e.g. 2500/month).
when I create a rental contract, I'd like SAP to calculate net price based on contract duration with both rate and use the lower one.
    e.g. rental 5 days. use daily rate = 500; monthly rate = 2500; So use 500.
e.g. rental >=26 days. use daily rate >= 2600; monthly rate = 2500; So use monthly rate 2500.
I was think to use price condition scales to set:
    1 - 25 days: 100/day
    >=26 days: 2500/month
But the problem is there are 30day a month and 31 days a month. When the contract has to calculate partial month, daily rate has to be calculated as monthly rate/actual days in the month.
    How to handle it?
    Thank you in advance!

There might be more than one method to resolve the requirement.
You can develop a routine in t.code VOFM and add it in the column  AltCTy. The logic in the routine can be if the netvalue exceeds 2500, then the net value should be 2500.
The second option is you can try with using standard. In VK12, after maintaining the pricing as 100/day, go to details. Then in upper limit add value as 2500. Then create a test sales order for 25 days and more than 25 days, then check the values. I think this can help with your scenario.

  • How to Calculate Net weight, Gross Price, Surhcarges for  Confirmed Qty

    Hello,
I have a requirement where I need to calculate the Net weight, Amount( gross price), Surhcarges etc.. for the Confirmed qty of
a sales order item. In SAP standard the pricing procedure will run for the Order Qty and all the prices are related to Order qty, not for Confirmed Qty. Confirmed Qty will be sum of all scheudle lines qty.
Is there any standard Function Module to get the prices and weights for Confirmed qty? Just  I need to display this data in a Report.
    Pelase advise me.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Instead of simulating the order I am using the User Exit so that that actaul values will appear in item conditions tab. I am using the Exit USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP  where I am doing the sum of the scheduled lines confirmed qty and passing the same to TKOMP-MGAME field and the pricing is calculation is done for the confirmed qty. But I am facing some problems when the order has credit block. When the order credit is released via VKM3, the pricing doesn't updated. When doing the credit release, the order cofirms the full order qty and the pricing(Gross price) is not getting updated.
How can we run the pricing update in Order change mode with pricing procedure as 'C'.
Did anyone has worked on this type of req? let me know your thoughts.
    Thanks.

  • MDX - how to calculate the sales between a certain period and the currentmember with a max date

    Hi all,
1)I need to calculate the sales between W1 and the currentmember, but the max date should be W20. How can I solve this in MDX?
MEMBER [Measures].[Q1 act.period to date sales] AS
    Sum(
    [Date invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].[Bonus week of year].&[2015]&[1]
    [Date invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].Currentmember
    *[CurrentSalesPeriod]
    ,[Measures].[Sales amount]
This is the measure I have, I need to add the max date is W20.
2)Also, when I calculate the sales between [Date invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].[Bonus week of year].&[2015]&[40] and the currentmember, for example being [Date invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].[Bonus week of year].&[2015]&[20],
he calculated the sales between this period. However, in theory this is not possible because W20 < 40. Is there any way I can put a constraint on this that he only calculates the sales if the currentmember is > the start period?
    Thanks in advance!

Y, you can put a check on to determine if currentmember > start period.
Firstly, your period keys are composite of year and period (indicated by the two ampersands in the fully qualified date above). If your period keys were non-composite (eg 201501) it would be a simple matter of
    IIF([Date invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].Currentmember.properties("key") > [Date
    invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].[Bonus week of year].&[2015]&[1].properties("key"),[Measures].[Sales
    amount],null)
There are advantages of having two period attributes on the dimension, one with a fully unique
key and the other with just the period of fy, but that's digressing.
With your composite keys, you could use a calc like the following for the SUM()
    Sum(
    [Date invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].[Bonus week of year].&[2015]&[1]
    [Date invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].Currentmember
    *[CurrentSalesPeriod]
    ,IIF([Date
    invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].Currentmember.parent.properties("key") +[Date
    invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].Currentmember.properties("key") > [Date
    invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].[Bonus week of year].&[2015]&[1].parent.properties("key")+[Date
    invoice].[Bonus calendar - Week].[Bonus week of year].&[2015]&[1].properties("key"),[Measures].[Sales
    amount],null))

  • User exit for pricing to calculate net sales value and tax at billing level

    Hi,
Can anyone give the solution for below thing.
I have written the code for to calculate the net sale a value and tax value based on condition types YTN1 & YTN2 and with pricing procedure "ZXTNIC"  under   user exit "userexit_field_modification"  in include program LV69AFZZ
    Calculation as per below
    FD:
The user exit will run on the values of the line item and the header of the pricing conditions
The user exit will subtract the current net value from the value of the conditions YTN1 & YTN2, also the Tax value will be added to the value of the conditions YTN1 & YTN2.
Need the Net value = 8,032 and not 8,882  " here 8832 value is before calculation
    This value will be calculated as follows = Current Net u2013 YTN1 u2013 YTN2 = 8,882 u2013 0,773 u2013 0,077 = 8,032
Need the Tax value = 2,395 and not 1,545  " here 1545 value is before calculation.
    This value will be calculated as follows = Current Tax + YTN1 + YTN2 =     1,545 + 0,773 + 0, 077 = 2,395
When i will execute the VF01 transaction there in initial screen values are not updating automatically.Once we will select item line and  then clicking on " item pricing condition" icon i.e., item level , then only the values are updating both in item level and header level.
But when we will execute the VF02 and VF03 the values are updating automatically as per condition.
So please suggest me is there any exit for this requirement.

  • How to calculate the variance in PO price history?

i hav standard report ME1P, since i need to do some modifications in this program i copied to Y prgrm,,,'
im getting all the values properly...
but my prblm is im not getting how to calculate the variance? im not getting the logic behid it...
can anybody expln me in breif plz....
    Regards
    Smitha

    Hi Venu,
there is another way as well, however, you won't be able to see Variance and Variance% as a saperate keyfigure which is not under the period. Thats the reason I didn't mention it earlier.
What you can do is, Drag the period to the columns, Now create a structure that has the two keyfigures std price, moving price. Here if you add Variance and Variance%, Then these CKF's would come under period as well, which you don't need. And the system won't allow you to add these CKF's outside this structure. The reason being because the interpretation of the data then wouldn't make any sense here. You can create a new structure as well with these CKF's but they would become a subpart of your previous structure.
choose the required characteristics in the Rows section. Save it.
Let us know, Sorry man, can't help u much at this problem.
    regards,
    Sree.
