The above FM can be used for BADI or customer exit, if it is design level then you can use formula as well, under formula date functions you can use DATE_TO_WEEK.

How to generate a number from two dates

I am 'new' at this of using Numbers for anything. What I want to do AND I can't seem to figure it out, is to generate a 'days total' from two dates. I get paid S.S. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. I have X number of dollars to spend. In order to view each day how much money I have for the rest of the month, I need to be able to obtain how many days are left in the period. I know what the fixed day is for the end and could key that in. I want it to be able to take the current day for the calculation without my having to key IT IN each day. Then I could use that returned number for other functions. I did look into "Functions" screen on the right hand side, read them several times, tried some but have not succeeded. Can someone here help this 68 year young man to figure this out? Thanks

you can use the function TODAY() to get the date.
then you can compute a duration (the difference between two dates). Data/time is a single type of variable in Numbers. Meaning that a complete date/time value includes both a date and a time. When you enter one without the other Numbers assumes the other portion.
you can subtract any two dates to get the duration.
The format for a date is:
1/2/2015 12:09A
2 Jan 2015 12:09A
a duration would look like:
3w 4d 6h 15m 45s 76ms
Three weeks, four days, six hours, fifteen minutes, forty five seconds, seventy six milliseconds
you can use any combinations of these parts for a duration
A1
=TODAY()

=EOMONTH(TODAY(),0)
C1
=B1−A1

In a routine transformation you can call function
DATE_GET_WEEK
to get the week number from the date.
To determ the others, use the substring
YEAR = DATE(4)
MONTH = DATE+4(2)
DAY = DATE+6(2)

Schedule lines should not change 3 weeks time from MRP date

Is there any specific customisation required to get following results in case of schedule lines.
1) MRP should not change/adjust the already send delivery schedule lines which are lying within 3 weeks time from MRP date
2) System should not allow to book the GRN unless the messages / print out has been generated from the system in case of scheduling agreement.

Hi,
There are 2 possibilities:
1. use MRP fixing using planning time fences, this is done by putting the relevant settings in the MRP1 view of the material master
2. use the firming options of the scheduling agreement, these are set per material number that is entered in the scheduling agreement.
The GR can only be posted for schedule lines that have been processed aka output generated.

Not sure where you find, "LOG_MESSSAGE_ADD". I don't actually find this option in the documentation.
The domains that mails are coming from and being sent to are certainly logged in the normal mail.log, so why mess with additional logging options? If you're talking about "LOG_CONNECTION", I actually see no additional data that is useful to you.
If you decide to change the option.dat, you do indeed need to
imsimta cnbuild (note, it's not cnrebuild)
imsimta restart
If I were facing the same issue, I'd be looking at the log parsing perl script, and simply modifying it to do what I wanted.

actually i don't think that you can use a .NET datatable to fill a business one grid.
the business one has it's own datatable.
in c# it would look like this:

I am trying to read only the year part from the system date & then checking if any entry exists in EKKO table (EKKO-BEDAT) for the year. I think i am making an error in my data declaration for V_YEAR & in my select statement (EKKO~BEDAT LIKE V_YEAR), not sure how to compare only the year part, can someone help.
DATA:
    V_EBELN TYPE EKPO-EBELN,
    V_YEAR TYPE SY-DATUM.
CLEAR: V_EBELN, V_YEAR.

Thanks for the inputs, but it is not working:
Move:      sy-datum(4) to v_begda, -> This reads the system year 2008
        '0101'     to v_begda, -> This changes 2008 to 0101
        sy-datum(4) to v_endda, -> This reads system year i.e. 2008
        '1231'     to v_endda. -> This changes 2008 to 1231
Also in the select statement
AND EKKO~BEDAT between v_begda and v_endda
This would not work, as EKKO-BEDAT is in year month date format.
So can you please clarify why we are assigining 0101 & 1231 & also how we can compare only the year in EKKO-BEDAT with System Year

I tried to
concatenate '0101 into v_begda.
concatenate '1231' into v_endda.
but system prompts "charlike-field" expected after "'0101'"

Missing Serial number from System profiler

I just noticed that I'm missing the serial number from my System Profiler.
The only reason why I noticed is that I was trying to gather information about the macs on the network via remote desktop and I found several that will not allow me to gather information about the system.
They are all the ones missing the serial number from System profiler.
How can I add it back? Also anyone know why it is missing?

The serial number disappears when the motherboard/logic board is switched out, because the serial number is linked to that piece of hardware.
Authorized Apple repair tech are supposed to use some special software to input the S/N onto the logic board. Possibly they can do it for you.
