How to call a VB dll with boolean parameter in labview

     I havea problem with labview calling dll.
     I need to call a customer's dll(VB) , but I find labview have no boolean type parameter, so how can I do it ?
     I have used labview 7.1 and only have dll without source code.

    I also use U8 and I16 type and all pop up a errer message,you can see it from accathed.

How to call a AM method with parameters from Managed Bean?

I have a situation where I need to call AM method (setDefaultSubInv) from Managed bean, under Value change Listner method. Here is what I am doing, I have added AM method on to the page bindings, then in bean calling this

invokeEL("#{bindings.setDefaultSubInv.execute}", paramTypes, params);
This works and able to call this method if there are no parameters. Say I have to pass a parameter to AM method setDefaultSubInv(String a), i tried calling this from the bean but throws an error

Object[] params = {aVal } ;
invokeEL("#{bindings.setDefaultSubInv.execute}", paramTypes, params);
I am not sure this is the right way to call the method with parameters. Can anyone tell how to call a AM method with parameters from Manage bean

1- Make your Method in Client Interface.
2- Add it to Page Def.
3- Customize your Script Like the below one to Achieve your goal.

I guess your request is timed out but to call shared libraries look for 'External Procedure Call' in Oracle documentation.

You can make an empty server only with tpsvrinit that starts your client
listeners and a tpsrvdone that stops them. Be carefull with sharing ipcs
between processes, or your clients may get puzzled!!!
Another choice can be builting a custom WSL/WSH but I haven't done
this yet and I don't know exactly the troubles related with making them.

I have a similar problem.
Trying to use the javax.comm package requires that the user have the win32com.dll located on their machine.
I have solved the problem by using a signed applet that allows me to write the dll to the clients machine and then run the code but ideally I would like to run the code without writing the dll to the users machine...i.e. I want to load the dll directly through the applet in the same way the class files are loaded forthe applet are loaded without copying them to the clients machine. After trying everything I have come to the conclusion that it is NOT possible. The calls loadLibrary and load both require that the dll reside on the clients machine. If anyone has had a different experience please rebut this.

You can you SET/GET parameters to do this.
This is some information about this.
To fill the input fields of a called transaction with data from the calling program, you can use the SPA/GPA technique. SPA/GPA parameters are values that the system stores in the global, user-specific SAP memory. SAP memory allows you to pass values between programs. A user can access the values stored in the SAP memory during one terminal session for all parallel sessions. Each SPA/GPA parameter is identified by a 20-character code. You can maintain them in the Repository Browser in the ABAP Workbench. The values in SPA/GPA parameters are user-specific.
ABAP programs can access the parameters using the SET PARAMETER and GET PARAMETERstatements.
To fill one, use:
SET PARAMETER ID pid FIELD f.
This statement saves the contents of field f under the ID pid in the SAP memory. The ID pid can be up to 20 characters long. If there was already a value stored under pid, this statement overwrites it. If you double-click pid in the ABAP Editor, parameters that do not exist can be created as a Repository object.
To read an SPA/GPA parameter, use:
GET PARAMETER ID pid FIELD f.
This statement places the value stored under the pid ID into the variable f. If the system does not find any value for pid in the SAP memory, sy-subrc is set to 4. Otherwise, it sets the value to 0.

You need to know the function prototype of the function you are calling in order to make the right call from LabVIEW. If you have LabVIEW 6, it allows you to see the different functions, but not the necessary arguments. If you have LabVIEW 5, you can use a vi available from NI<
/a> to view all the functions exported in a dll. Follow nchernin instructions...
Using External Code in LabVIEW, which you can access from LabVIEW's help or access through the link above.
If you are writing the dll, check the several articles in NI website. There is a lot of documentation, but specially for doing it using Microsoft's VC++.

is it possible calling a C method with Java?? And how to...?Not in general no.
You can use JNI which will call another C function (which you write) and which then calls your C method.
If the method is of a specific type (like OLE, Corba) then there are packages available which can allow you to access it. They still use JNI underneath, but hide that functionality from you.
