I am new in crystal reports . I had created crystal reports Eclipse IDE 3.3.2 in that i created .rpt & .jsp . how to pass parmeter in that file to Jdeveloper or which fille use to pass parameter from daabase

I am having issues trying to get a small application that I developed in eclipse (CR4E)that uses Crystal Reports to work with Oracle's JDeveloper OC4J embedded server. I can run the application fine and when I try to view a report I get a partial report rendering and then get the following Exception:

Actually i am firstly Compiling CR4E in that i am using Apace Tomcat Server 5.5 .in CR4E it is Running fine But while inserting these .Jsp file in Jdeveloper and in that I am Using OC4J server for compiling that time gives these above error
Can OC4J server not supporting to .rpt files?

I dont think that you can integrate Crystal Reports with JDevelpoer but you can use runtime libraries to your project to get crystal report functionality

Hello Amol,
The Crystal Report for Eclipse - Java-based Crystal Reports development - is integrated into the Eclipse IDE and IBM RAD.
However, it's not integrated with JDeveloper.
You can still access the Crystal Java Reporting Component to create Java applications to view Crystal Reports, but you'd not be able to create RPT files unless you use Eclipse or RAD.

how to pass parameters to crystal report, please help.This would entirely depend on crystal reports and you might find informations on crystal reports related communities more likely...I for one have seen crystal reports the last time about 12 years ago. And even back then I simply acknowledged it's existence instead of working with it.
Maybe crystal reports can be invoked via a URL call which would make it simple as you'd need simply build an URL and show the report using web.show_document. But that's pure speculation. Also you might not be the first with this requirement, so the solution to your problem might be right under your nose and just a little google search away ;)

I have a button on my Form which when clicked calls a Crystal Report which the uaser then wants to save as a PDf file.

I am trying to call the crystal report from an Oracle Form using a URL. No batch file is being used here.
I am looking for a peice of code similar to run_product or run_report built in in Oracle which calls an Oracle report from an Oracle Form.
Also I dont want to display the report on a screen or a window in Oracle Forms. I would like it to run just as we run an Oracle Report from an Oracle Form.
Is that possible ? If yes please let me know the steps to do this.

   there are 23 jar files that u need to import into ur package. but remember that ReportViewerBean should be the first jar file in the list & it should be followed by jrcerom.jar
specify the key in the CRConfig.xml file (which also has to be imported in the package)
u can find these jar files in the common objects folder in your program files.

I am trying to invoke/call Crystal Reports from Forms 6i.
I have created OCX Item, while right click on item and insert-object, i am unable to see "Crystal Report" Control.
I have installed crystal Reports 2008 (Version 12) and CR Standard Production version 9.
Is there any Active X control registration in forms.
I could see "Crystal Report Viewer Control 9" and "Crystal Report Print Control 12.0"

Hello Achim,
You do not need to create multiple files:
- you can create a single file from the Builder and specify 'Paper anfd Web Layout'
- save the files as JSP
In this case the JSP file contains the both layout Paper and Web, in this case you can:
- edit the web source (JSP) from JDeveloper
- use Reports Builder to edit the Paper Layout -that you can format as PDF-.
