How to call InDesign SOAP?

I'm new to InDesign server. I started InDesign server using command indesignserver port 18383. Running HelloWorld.jsx via TestClient is working fine . But now I need write a PHP program to call InDesign SOAP API. I did some searching but I could not figure out what the parameters and path are. My InDesign server is on 192.168.0.150:18383
and I'm using PHP 5's SOAP extension. If there is sample code, that would be great. Any help would be appreciated.
1, Where I can find following information:
What is Method Name? such as SomeFunction
what is Endpoint? such as URL http://x.x.x.x:8080/soap
what is SOAPAction? such as urn:xmethods-delayed-quotes#SomeFunction
what is Method Namespace URI? such as urn:xmethods-delayed-quotes
What is Input Parameters?
What is Output Parameters?
Or
2, use wsdl - but what is the path of some.wsdl? and what is SomeFunction? I know there is function called RunScript
Following are some sample PHP code I need:
$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl");
$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('soap_version' => SOAP_1_2));
$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('login' => "some_name",
'password' => "some_password"));
$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('proxy_host' => "localhost",
'proxy_port' => 8080));
$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('proxy_host' => "localhost",
'proxy_port' => 8080,
'proxy_login' => "some_name",
'proxy_password' => "some_password"));
$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('local_cert' => "cert_key.pem"));
$client = new SoapClient(null, array('location' => "http://localhost/soap.php",
'uri' => "http://test-uri/"));
$client = new SoapClient(null, array('location' => "http://localhost/soap.php",
'uri' => "http://test-uri/",
'style' => SOAP_DOCUMENT,
'use' => SOAP_LITERAL));
$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl",
array('compression' => SOAP_COMPRESSION_ACCEPT | SOAP_COMPRESSION_GZIP));
$server = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('encoding'=>'ISO-8859-1'));
Thanks
Robert

The InDesign Server WSDL is included in the SDK. For example, for a standard install on Windows, the WSDL is at:<br /><br />C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS2 4.0.2 Products SDK\source\components\soapserver\gsoap\IDSP.wsdl<br /><br />That is a static WSDL, however, and is probably not accurate for your current setup. About three or four lines from the bottom, you'll see a "<SOAP:address ..." line. To have it work for your setup, you should change that line to:<br /><br /><SOAP:address location="http://192.168.0.150:18383"/><br /><br />InDesign Server only exposes one function, called simply RunScript.

  • Calling a soap web service from a java desktop application

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to call a soap web service from a java desktop application? I've seen examples using Apache Axis, but it sounds like Axis needs to run on a web server and we are trying to avoid that. My initial thought was that, "of course we need a web server", but I'm wondering if there is a way to do this without a web server.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    thank you,
    Julie

    If you are the consumer you don't need any web server. The web server is only needed in the provider end.
    In java 6 there is a built in framework to call web services without the need of third parties (such as apache axis)
    take a look at:
    https://jax-ws.dev.java.net/guide/Developing_client_application_with_locally_packaged_WSDL.html
    http://java.sun.com/webservices/technologies/index.jsp
    For the provider end there is also a built in http server to expose web service via HTTP without the need to
    use any external web server.
    take a look at:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/xml/ws/Endpoint.html

  • How to call SOAP API from JavaScript

    Hi,
    I'm trying to call the SOAP API to get statistics about emails. Are there any examples on how to call the API from JavaScript?
    Here is a link to my original question about using the REST API. REST API URL for email statistics
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Tim,
    In order to consume a SOAP API I recommend you use something other than JavaScript.
    Any platform can offer you a good SOAP client should be OK. (.Net, Java, php, Ruby, python).
    I didn't see anyone successfully used javascript and consume the Eloqua SOAP API.
    I know you can create a SOAP client in Java script but it will be too much work to handle the Eloqua response in some cases.

  • How to call a query from the backing bean ?

    Hi all,
    Another question for you guys :
    I made a jspx page with an input form and a submit button.
    When I click the submit button, the action my_action in my backing bean is executed.
    This is the code :
    public BindingContainer getBindings() {
    return BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    public String my_action() {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("EmployeesView");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    I hoped that the query 'EmployeesView' was executed in this way, but I get the following exception :
    java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.FacesCtrlHierBinding cannot be cast to oracle.binding.OperationBinding
    So how should I execute the query EmployeesView ?
    Second part of the question : What if I typed the name an employee in my form, and I want to
    execute a query that selects all the Employees with that name ?
    How do I make a query with a variable as input in the WHERE clause ?
    Thanks in advance.

    OperationBinding operationBinding = bc.getOperationBinding("retrieveHistory");   ===> operationBinding stays NULL ???+
    +operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("OBJECTID", objectid[j]);+
    Object retVal = operationBinding.execute();

  • How to call webservice application using Browser

    Hi Everybody,

    I followed the below two blogs and I created the complete scenario. And I deployed the ear file in WebAs in xi server.
    Now the question is how to run this program using the browser. That is how to call.

    Hi,
    It's not clear to me what you did. Have you exposed an XI Message Interface through a Web Service? Or have you developed a Web Service in the other way? What is the "ear" that you said? Is an webdynpro app? If it is, I think your question would be properly answered at WebDynpro forum
    cheers!

  • How to call webservice from Java application

    Hi XI gurus
    Pls let me know how to call a webservice from Java application.
    I wanted to build synchronous interface from Java Application to SAP using SAP XI
    For example, i need to create Material master from Java application and the return message from SAP, should be seen in Java application
    Regards
    MD

    Hi,
    If your  JAVA Application is Web based application, you can expose it as Webservice.
    JAVA People will pick the data from Dbase using their application and will send the data to XI by using our XI Details like Message Interface and Data type structure and all.
    So we can Use SOAP Adapter or HTTP in XI..
    If you use HTTP for sending the data to XI means there is no need of Adapter also. why because HTTP sits on ABAP Stack and can directly communicate with the XI Integration Server Directly
    If you are dealing with the Webservice and SAP Applications means check this

  • How to call webservice using jdev9i

    Hi gurus and experts,
    i need to consume a webservice using oaf. with great effort finally i created stub using axis s/w.
    now i dont know how to use the stub in jdev.where to write the code and what to write.iam strucked :-( .
    since there were no sample tutorial about how to call webservice from jdev9i, iam struggling to make.iam jus a starter.
    and while googling i came to know that stubs can be created using jdev9i .but when i see new-->webservices--web service stub it is greyed out.
    i have 2 questions now:
    1)if stub created using axis can it be used in jdev9i? if yes ,please tell me how? any tutorial links also helps me.
    2)if the stubs should be created only by jdev9i so that webservices can be called using jdev,then please guide me how to make it.
    i need some helping hands from u guys.
    Thanks a lot

  • Help NeEDED. How to link to soap web service from objective c

    Hello , HELP
    I'm trying to connect to a SOAP based web service using objective C as my programming language. Although the little bit of information on the Apple Dev centre documents is should be straight forward, im struggling like **.
    What im trying to do is connect via a small username and password text-box plus 'login' button from interface builder to
    https://api.betfair.com/global/v3/BFGlobalService.wsdl and parameter called login.
    then pass it my username and password from the interface text-boxes plus a few other standard set bits of information which are required.
    in turn the soap request will pass back a session token which i need to store.
    I've tried using WSMakestubs, which builds successfully the classes, but when calling them method nothing happens.

    Hello Etresoft
    Thanks again for coming back to me.. I would like to add that maybe on my first thread i wasn't as clear on what i was asking for, and also what avenues have have stepped down before asking for help.. Believe me i hate nothing more than not being able to resolve something myself. I'm currently reading 'another' programming in cocoa book by Arron Hillgrass, although he touches on the web service call to a Amazon web service example, he doesn't go into detail about how to actually do this.
    So again thank you for trying to help me.. its greatly appreciated.
    Ok back to the subject, and your response below.. I will try and be as informative as i can.
    I'm want to create a application using the interface builder which has a username and password textfield plus a button called <login>..
    On entering the username and password and pressing the login button, i was to send a request to the a .wdsl (SOAP) web service and login.! the webservice in return will send back a session token, which i need to store for further web service calls.
    In xcode i have been trying now for 1 week..!!! and the more i read up on how to make the Soap request call the more i fail to understand if this is simple or complex.
    * A bit more info if i may, on clicking the login button i need to send information to the below address as a soap type request.
    https://api.betfair.com/global/v3/BFGlobalService.wsdl
    i need to also tell the request the method name which is loginreq
    and also i need to pass these parameters in the request.
    username (from textfield)
    password (from textfield)
    productId = '82'
    vendorsoftwareId = '0'
    locationId = '0'
    ipAddress = '0'
    The stage I've got to is, I've used wsmakestubs and I've tried 'wdsl2objc' to create the classes required. I have then created a app controller class and a interface build app with the textfields and login button. I have then linked up the textfields and button to the nsobject appcontroller with a action ibaction loginreq etc. On build and go the app builds without error's but fails to do anything when i press the login button.. (more i think about this the more i think its either two things, one im not passing the parameters and two im not invoking the loginreq method from the class.)
    I feel like im wading in treacle and getting nowhere fast.!
    All i would like is for some help from someone to point me the correct direction..
    Im thinking that with all the Soap web services out there in the WWW, this must now be a easy thing to do in xcode. Im starting to think im stupid..
    Thanks again for you Help
    Regards
