I am using VSTS 2010 for performance testing and have a question about Extraction Rules functionality. Requirement below.
Example :
Server Response
<a>1</a>
<a>2</a>
<a>3</a>
<a>...</a>
we need to capture all the values with same left and right boundary. Along with the number of occurrence from the response. We need pass a random value in the
index where the index value will be between 0 - count of values with same left and right boundary.
How to find out the count of values with same left and right boundary.

The findElement method allows various attributes to be used to search. Take the following two examples for the element below:
<Select Name=ProdType ID=testProd>
</Select>
I can find the element based on its name or any other attribute, I just need to specify what I am looking for. To find it by name I would do the following:
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("ProdType","SELECT","Name")
If I want to search by id I could do the following:
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("testProd","SELECT","ID")
Usually you will use whatever is available. Since the select element has no name or ID on the Empirix home page, I used the onChange attribute. You can use any attribute as long as you specify which one you are using (last argument in these examples)
You can use the FindElement to grab links, text boxes, etc.
The next example grabs from a link on a page
Home
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("Home","A","innerText")

Dear Experts,
After Executing a query by giving let 3 values(Out of 10 Values) to a variable.
To give 2 more input values to the same variable(i.e.,total I wanted to give 5 inputs this time ),after refreshing the query,for that variable if I click F4, I am seeing the historical values(i.e.,3) and remaining 7 values also But with out any Check Boxes besides them to select the 2 inputs.
In the same F4 Screen, If I click all values(an Icon at The bottom),then also Im seeing but no check Box.
I hve tried by deleting the Delete Personalization also,but no use.
Please tell me How to get all the values with F4 with check boxes to select ,whatever I want??

Take a look at the InfoObject and go to the Business Explorer tab. If the 'Query Def. Filter Value Selection' is set to 'Only Values in InfoProvider', you're only going to get the values in F4 that exist in the InfoProvider, not everything in the Master Data. This would need to be changed to the value of 'Values in Master Data Table' if you want it to show everything possible when F4 is chosen.
Likewise, you're going to need to look at the query and go to the Advanced tab for the InfoObject. Make sure that the radio button for 'Values in Master Data Table' is selected. If not, then you should change that selection.

I'm trying to get the values of a Geometry wich is an Oriented Point. To that, i'm using SDO_UTIL.GETVERTICES, but this utility only obtains the point X,Y, it doesn't obtain the values of the orientation vector.
The Geometry is this:

I would like to capture all the email addresses that mail has captured and gives you as a prompt when you start to enter and an address...is there a way to do this ? Does anyone know where all these email addresses live ?

For that program, it says it will import from CSV files, in which case once you add the email address and name to Address Book, you can create a new group for that purpose and add everyone you want to that group. Then select the group and drag it to the Desktop to create one vCard file with all those contacts.
The go to this URL in Firefox (it won't work in Safari): <http://labs.brotherli.ch/vcfconvert/> and use the online vCard converter to convert that file to a CSV file. Be sure to add a header line if Interspire requires it in the file to import it, and check the results in Excel or Numbers before you import it.

The select activities ("Select from Oracle," Select from SQL Server," etc.) against database already return tables. Use one of the database adapters to do your select, and it will already be in a table form. Just put your query in the select and identify the columns in your result table. The online help or the database adapter guides in the product documentation can help.

How to zip all the files generated using file adapter

Hello Everyone,
I have a scenario in place where i split a message into multiple messages. I used to generate multiple file using the file name present in the payload of the splitted message using variable substitution.
This is working fine.
Now the requirement has changed and i want to zip all these file and create a single zip file.
I think it could be done using run OS command option in file adapter, but have no clue how to do it.
Please help me.

you can use on of the command line ZIP utilities:

then when your file adapter puts the file
you can use commnad line to zip the files

This report gives you the SPFLI Data and places a check box in front of each record. When u click on select all button it will select all the records. And if you click on deselect all it will deselect all the records. When you are trying this maintain the pf-status 'YMENU1' and give the function codes as in the code.

use case:- we are capturing all value entered by the user on screen and storing it in the cookie like (key,value) pair where key is id and value is value of the component keyed-in.
Later when there is browser close or transaction faliure we are retreiving back all the values from cookie on load of page.
Now the point is when the screen loads back it is not getting the component id dynamically, we are storing manually the id's of the components to retrieve the value.
But we want to read all the id of all the components dyanamically once page load and store it in javascript array variable.
Let me know if there is any method to read all the id of the page in ADF javascript.
Or any other alternative method.

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.
