How to change a plant in sales order for main item of BOM

Dear Gorus,
Please tell me how we can change plant of main item of a BOM?
Actually, I have maintained a LUMF BOM. The main item and components of this are maintained for two different plants. BOM is also maintained for both the plants and it explodes smoothly in sales order once I provide the plant. But as per our reqirement sometime we need to change the plant. Here system does not allow to change the plant of main item of BOM as it is in gray mode now.
Please guide me how can I change the plant? Is it possible by configuration or should I go for userexit?
If the userexit required please tell me which userexit I have to use because I already discussed and checked with my ABAPer. we could not find the right userexit.

I have just tried on my system and managed to overwrite the existing price by passing the following parameters.
Import Paramters:
 SALESDOCUMENT - Sales Document Number
 ORDER_HEADER_INX - UPDATEFLAG as 'U'.
 LOGIC_SWITCH - Import Structure - Pass 'X' to LOGIC_SWITCH-COND_HANDL.
Tables:
 CONDITIONS_IN - ITM_NUMBER,
 COND_COUNT, -> Condition counter same as KONV-ZAEHK generally it is '01'
 COND_TYPE,
 COND_VALUE,
 CURRENCY.
 CONDITIONS_INX - ITM_NUMBER,
 COND_COUNT,
 COND_TYPE,
 UPDATEFLAG as 'U',
 CURRENCY.

Could any one suggest me any BAPI that can create sales order from an existing OPEN sales order for OPEN items. since we are closing all open orders and creating new orders with reference to existing open orders. please suggest, its would be great help.

we are changing tax procedure from formula to condition based, so this is the reason we have close all the open orders and recreate in TAXINN procedure, it is going to be large number of records( open orders), so....

Error Message V1810 - Make to Order No Change delivery plant in Sales Order

Hello, for a client where I'm setting the flow intercompany , but i have an error on the Sales Order when I must be change delivery plant.
Scenario: Make to Order, Product configuration, Sales Order BOM created by CS60
Step:
1 - I create sales order fo company X delivery plant 1000
2 - Creates Order BOM on plant 2000 Company Y
3 - creates MRP Planned Order
4 - Convert Planned Order to Production Order
For different issues can happen that you decide to ship the goods to a different plant than the X. Production Plant remains 2000.
If I try to change the plant on the Order system stops me with the following error:
Message V1810 - Plant can no longer be changed
Diagnosis
The plant can no longer be changed in the Following situations:
The item has been assigned to a project.
There is a production order for the order item but it is not a staticassembly order.
Already have accrued costs.
For the very complex structure of the product I can not delete the production order and sales order BOM.
How do I handle these cases?
Can anyone help me?

can you please answer some questionsa to understand your requirement.
if you want to transfer the goods from plant to plant you can do it through Stcok transfer MB1B t code.
1.then why you want to change the plant? in which element you are trying to do in sales order or production order?
2.you mention it as intercompany and MTO can you be clear for whoom you got the sales order(internal or External Customer?

Change of plant in sales order.

One type of sales order that we use is sales that we don't have stock and we get them only if there is a customer asking fro this. At sales order by changing the item category, the schedule line is changed and a purchase requisition is being created.
At the point of the sales order we agree with the customer to get the items from plant A.
We transform the purchase requisition to purchase order and we get the items as it is suggested in plant A.
For any reason, the customer wants to get the items now from plant B.
How is it possible to change the plant in the sales order, move the items from plant A to plant B, so to make the delivery from plant B, as the customer wants.

I think it is possible to change the Plant in Change mode (VA02) until you donu2019t make the delivery for the sales order.
Now for Stock Transfer use the below procedure:

How to change material discription at sales order item level ?

Not possible in SAP Standard.
Instead why not create a Customer Material Info Record in T-Code - VD51?
Alternatively it the requirement to change the Description is only for few Sales Order then create a Text ID & Enter the Description in Text Feild. Then in Smartform program wrie a code which will check for Material Description in the Text first & if not found then take from normal material Description in Sales Order.
But Customer Material info Record seems to be the best solution.

I want to change the plant in the order....when i tried fast change in edit,am getting plant cannot be copied message 1236
But for the order there is no further documents generated,i have created and saved now i want to change the plant....

Hi,
As per your statement, you have just created Sales Order (w/o reference) and no further processes have been done(i.e. Delivery or billing etc..)
Then, you may change it with T.code: VA02.
Or simply delete the item from the order, maintain right plant with Company Code, Material Master, Sales Area and re-enter it in to Sales order.

Sales order for service item

hi
if im going to make a sales order for a service item then, the in the document item does not appear, but description appears then how can i select that item in sales order and how that service item is going to be effected.

● Service to create a sales document for a service that has not been defined as an Item in SAP Business One, such as a one-time consultation.
As it mentioned,a service type sales order DO NOT affect
any item.You should use the item type sales order and a service defined
as sales item in item master data.

In a Sales order for line item (SL) the Confirmed Qty & Committed Qty is 0

In a Sales order for a line item (Schedule line) the Confirmed Qty & Committed Qty is 0 and there is no second scedule line
with the Confirmed Qty & Committed Qty (This is a MTO).What could be the reason? Pls suggest.

Check the Schedule line determination category settings.
It is determined by Item Category + MRP Type.
Pls maintain the relavant entries in that settings. Pls try out the path in the system. Do NOT ask for Tcode.

How to change Position Number in Sales Order?

Hello Gurus,
I have the requirement to renumber the positions in an existing sales order.
For example position 000020 needs to be changed to position 000030.
Unforunately BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE cant do this apparently.
Anyone knows a way other than direct access to VBAP or deletion of position and after that inserting the new position?

For heaven's sake, stop thinking about changing it programmatically. You will land yourself in deep trouble. Better delete the order and create a new one.
Four years back , I was pitched in as an advisory consultant to design a solution to incorporate some IS-Retail feature in SD module .It gave me good exposure to study standard sales process closely- how the standard program takes care of addition, insertion and modification operation. Basically, I had to do similar kind of thing via enhancement. There are so many scenarios and so many tables like XVBAP, YVBAP, IVBAP, SVBAP to manipulate. If any table is filled incorrecly, data will be inconsistent and there will be short dumps. Other than that you also have to change the related tables like VBUK, VBUP, VBEP and the tables that David Knittle mentioned. Some indexed tables like VAKPA & VAPMA are also updated along with VBAP.
System basically knows whether it is an insertion , update or deletion by checking the value of UPDKZ field. Also, for some scenario, probably for deletion ( forgot, did it long back ), two line items are created, one at the original position and one at the end.

How can i get the open sale orders for given material no and plant

I have to retrieve the open sale orders depending on the material number and plant.
For only open sale orders at header level and item level.
I want to use VBUK-GBSTK to find open sale order at header level and
                      VBUP-GBSTA at item level.

and again i have to write one more select query for vbup.

How to Change delivery date in Sales Order????

If i creating Sales order (OR) for eg date 29/11/2007, for delivery date it will 6/11/2007, If i change Mannualy for delivery date, it will getting some error, i need delivery date should be one or two days delay only.

Hi Mohammed,
In the sales document type configuration screen you have the field for Delivery Date Proposal. Use the appropriate value that is required. Also confirm the order date in your question is later than the delivery date maybe that is the reason why the system is giving you an error.

The configurational setting for changing the pricing flow from Contract to Sales Order is in Copying control. Go to the T-code VTAA and select your relevant Contract and Sales Order. At the Item level itself, you shall find a control called PRICING TYPE. Select the option as B or C.
Please try out this approach so that your issue related to pricing flow can be avoided.

How to change planning plant in Maintenance order

In maintenance order , depending on equipment , the planning plant gets defaulted . If Equipment is installed in another FL whose planning plant is different , the order's planning plant doesn't change (Greyed) . Is there anyway to change planning plant in orders

We have maitenance and planning plant same .Equipment was in maintenance plant XYZ and planning plant XYZ earlier . Now the same equipment is in maintainance plant ABC and planning plant ABC . In order , I am able to change maintenance plant to ABC , but unable to change the planning plant to ABC .
If I do not change planning plant and change only maintenence plant , what are the effects in cost reporting ? Since ultimately cost is settled to equipment cost center (which is now changed to ABC cost center) , I feel there will not be any effect . Old planning plant may only affect search right ? ....Please advise ...
