How to change content in the formula node of the current vi

Actually I want to give formula with array index.
My formula p=a[0]-30; But i couldnot give array index in the formula expression..
Please help me in this issue.

If those are your exact statements, then they don't make sense in a formula node. You have to use them in an if-statement or some other type of control logic. Variables—Only a, a0, ..., a9, ... z, z0, ..., z9, are valid.
Logical, conditional, inequality, equality—?:,, &&, !=, ==, <, >, <=, and >= are not valid.
Functions—atan2, max, min, mod, pow, rem, and sizeOfDim are not valid. You can use these functions in a Formula Node or use their corresponding LabVIEW functions.
So it DOES NOT seem like Eval Formula Node can do conditionals like you want. I would just implement them using a LabVIEW based algorithm after all. Trying to out smart the formula nodes to avoid simple LabVIEW code is just too much of a hassle

Sorry, I don't think so. That would be pretty cool if you could create a property node for a formula node and then enter a formula on the front panel and use it to update the formula. But you can't create a property node for a formula node and the only way of modifying the formula is by typing it into the formula node on the diagram. And you can't modify a diagram of a running VI.
You could create a VI which is only a formula node with the maximum number of inputs and outputs you expect. Have a button on the calling VI to Edit Formula. When the button is pressed, use a VI server to display the front panel on the formula VI, display a dialog box telling the user how to display the diagram of the formula VI, then stop the calling VI. (You can't edit a sub-VI while t
he calling VI is running). The user will then need to rerun the calling VI to use the new formula.
You might be able to do something by calling MatLab or something like that to get an interactive formula window.

Hi Matt,
For short columns, the easiest method is to select the cell containing the formula, then grab the fill handle (small circle at the botom right of the selected cell) and drag down.
For long columns, use either Jerry's suggestion (copy/paste) or Insert > Fill > Fill Down.
Copy/Paste:
Select the cell containing the formula. Copy
Select from the cell containing teh formula to the end of the column. Paste.
Fill Down:
After entering the formula, and pressing enter...
Click on the column reference tab to select the whole column.
Command click on each cell above the one containing the formula to remove it from the selection.
When cell with the formula is the top cell in the selection, go Insert > Fill > Fill Down.
Pick whichever is easiest.

Oaky, at least we got that far. Next step is to determine if all those "numbers" are really numbers. Changing the format to "number" doesn't necessarily change the string to a number. The string has to be in the form of a number. Some may appear to you and me as numbers but will not turn into "numbers" when you change the formatting from Text to Number. Unless you've manually formatted the cells to be right justified, one way to tell if it is text or a number is the justification. Text will be justified to the left, numbers will be justified to the right.
Here are some that will remain as strings:
+123
123 with a space after it.
.123

I am trying to build a "library" page for my application, with the documents as the leaf nodes of the tree. The documents come from a database table, and each document is a BLOB.
My question is, how should I write the "link" part of the APEX tree query to make the lead node document downloadable for the end users?

Hilary helped me out of this by creating a new form page with two new items there corresponding to the PK and BLOB column, then in the tree query use apex_util.get_blob_file_src function as the link. Below is the email from Hilary:
1. Created Form, page 13, based upon your table storing the documents as BLOBs. The form page has just two associated items: P13_DOC and P13_DOC_ID. The item P13_DOC is of type FILE and contains a source type of DB column, which is the first required parameters of the function get_blob_file_src. NOTE: I could have created a form region on the same page as your tree, but chose to generate a separate page. You may choose to change this yourself.
2. Updated the Tree query on pg 12 to use the following link for tree nodes of level 4:
apex_util.get_blob_file_src('P13_DOC',v.attr3)
...where P13_DOC is the application page item mentioned in step 1 above, and v.attr3 should hold the unique ID associated with the document. Your tree now allows users to download the listed documents.

Try the Parser VIs (also known as LV Mathematics VIs, or simply GMath VIs) located under the Analyze>>Mathematics palette (not in the Base package). You might want to start with the "Eval Formual Node.vi" located in the Analyze>>Mathematics>>Formula palette. There are many differences between these G-based, dynamic formula VIs and the LabVIEW formula node, but these VIs often prove quite useful when your formula changes on the fly. For more detail on the differences, see the LabVIEW Help file (Cntrl-Shift-? from within LabVIEW) under the topic "Mathematics VIs, parser differences with Formula Node".

How to change content of DataGrid cell on mouse over

I am trying to change content of a datagrid cell when the mouse is over it. Changing the dataProvider does not provide immediate feedback because update is performed by renderer. I am trying to directly update content of a cell onMouseOver and restore it onMouseOut.
I am thinking of leaving the column empty and insert content onMouseOver, cleanup onMouseOut. Alternative, may be I can populate the column and mask out all but the cell the mouse is over.
Any suggestion on how this may be done?

I would override updateDisplayList, call isItemHighlighted and set the content of the cell accordingly

How to address message to the specific node of the ESB cluster

Hi!
We are running ESB on two node active-active cluster configuration. We use custom adapter to communicate with customer legacy system over Socket connection. The point is, that we need to transfer large amount of data from our database into customer system using one open socket connection. Because of memory limitation we had to split data into multiple messages in ESB. This socket connection can be open from any of the active cluster node, but ones it's open all messages must be send within the node which had open the connection.So, the messages should not arrive into another node. The question: How is it possible to address (route) ESB messages into specific node of the cluster?

I want to access the same vailable in different formula nodes, so I need to define a global or external vailables? How can I do this?

Formula Nodes are distinct environments from each other. You will have to define the global constant in each node. Or make it a variable and wire your values to the variable input node on each of the formula nodes.

That's great when using SQL Dev.
But I also have a trouble that how to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?
My users think that font in result screen is shown very small, and whenever the data in each colum is long then it's not shown full data in column, they must double click for extend the size. Have the option to default the max size for showing full data in each column ? I try but still not to do that .

You can't change the font for the results screen yet, however you will be able to select an auto-fit option for selected columns, so if some columns have slitghtly wider text you'll be able to set the column widths to handle these wider columns.
Also, there s the option of switching the layout of a record in the grid.

As per my understanding the parent node of <subnode1-2>29.99</subnode1-2> is book not the node1.

Using the Formula Node for PDA

I get a compile error when I use C code inside the formula node. Is it possible to use C Code inside the formula node for PDA applications? Do I have to include any file while building the executable for the PDA

Ok, I was able to successfully build an executable file without error. I attached the screen shots of your program in execution. Does this look like the desired result?
I'm confused as to why I can build and run the program on my machine. I have LabVIEW 7.0 and Windows XP. What version of Windows and LabVIEW are you using? Also, are you getting the error window when you try to build an executable or when you attempt to run the VIs within LabVIEW?

Expanding and clarifying what BJD said;
After you create the temporary sub-VI that BJD mentioned, open its front panel and copy the reference control that LV created when it created the sub-VI.
This reference control will be correct class etc that you need. Use the control to replace the original control that you were attempting to wire up.
The technique of "create sub-VI...copy" always works for me.
There is one more thing that you should watch out for.
The mechanical action of the boolean can not be set for latch action when attempting to read the value using a value property node.
