vidDisplay.y = 0;
vidDisplay.x = 0;
vidDisplay.width = 480;
vidDisplay.height = 360;
The above will change the width of the single movieclip, but it is not the way to do that, you should seperate your inner clips and make your controls to certain width and reposition the controls within that. otherwise you will face the issue after implementing the above.

• How to change Preview's Full screen default setting from "two-pages" to "continuous scroll"

I am using OS X mavericks on my mid 2013 Air.
I usually need to open multiple PDFs during my work and I prefer to put them all in full screen for easy swapping. I was able to change the setting which allowed me to open PDFs in "continuous scroll". However, the PDFs became two-pages display again when I put them into full screen and I can't find any setting which allow me to change the full screen default display mode. Is there a way to do it or it is simply not possible.? Could Apple just add an option for us to change it? Thanks in advance for any help.

You may also need to reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
*View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

how do i change widescreen to full screen?
Is it possible?
I currently have handbrake, pspware, fcp studio.
what can i use.
please help?
I dont care if it takes a while. (4x3) looks better on the ipod

You can view widescreen video at 4:3 on your iPod with video. Just go into the Video Settings menu in the Video menu and turn widescreen off. After you do this, your iPod will display ALL video at 4:3 regardless of the video's aspect ratio.
Hope this helps!

• How can I create a full-screen view of Keynote slide in Snow Leopard?

How can I create a full-screen view of my Keynote slides in Snow Leopard?
I'm going to be importing into ScreenFlow to create a video.
Thank you!!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Do you want static screen captures or motion video of slides as titles, bullet points, and the like are presented?
Run the Keynote slide presentation in full-screen mode, then...
Static full-screen captures - use Command+Shift+3.
Static partial-screen captures - use Command+Shift+4 and use cursor to select the area of the screen to capture.
If you want motion video as builds occur, why not use Keynote's built-in Share, Export function?
(I'm on iLife '09.)
Also understand that the default slide format for Keynote is 1024x768, not full-screen MacBook 1280x800 screen size, so you'll have wide black borders unless you change the default size or crop the finished screen captures.

• How do I run two full screen applications on separate screens?

I have two screens for my MacBook Pro with Lion; the laptop screen and a stock screen hooked up by a VGA cable. Currently, when I use a full screen application, my second screen just changes to the grey fabric pattern. How do I run a full-screen application on each screen?

Hi Jared,
Connect/turn on the external monitor. Open System Preferences on your MBP > Displays. There should be two windows, one for the external monitor and one for the MBP. Click on the window for the external monitor. Click on the Arrangement tab. Uncheck the box for Mirror Displays. This willallow you to set each display to its own resolution. On the external display, click on the pref window for the external monitor display setting. Click on Display. Set the resolution to what you want. On the MBP's display, click on the pref window for the MBP's display and set the resolution to whatever you want. You'll be in what's called "extended desktop mode." You'll have to move the "pointer" all the way to the edge of one display to get it to go onto the other display. Open whatever you want, and drag it to the extended monitor. Set it to full screen. Open another whatever on the MBP's display and set it to full screen. You should be full screen on both displays.

Move your cursor way over to the right side of the window. There should be a thin bar. when you hover over the left side of the thin bar, the cursor will change to a vertical bar with an arrow sticking out the left. Click and drag to the left.

• How to change font size on screen

how to change font size on screen

I'm not certain what font sizes you wish to change, when on a page you can use command and the += button to zoom in and make the fonts larger. On the finder desktop you can make what ever is on the desktop larger or smaller from the finder menu click view, custom view options, and adjust the icon size with the slider on the top, and the text using the text size box to select the size that your comfortable with.
Forgot to add these.

• 1. How to view my work full screen? 2. How to make "F" keys behave proper?

Hello All,
Two softball questions for FCP batting practice:
1. Somewhere along the way, I came across an explanation on how to make my canvas full screen. I found a post mentioning View, External Video, and something about cinema (not in front of it right now). I don't have an external monitor, so how can I accomlish this on my laptop?
2. Speaking of laptops, many of the "F" keys don't work as described in the manual. For example, F12 brings up a dashboard with weather in Cupertino, CA. Not exaclty conducive to my workflow. Is there a place to tell the MacBook Pro that when operating this application, default to the "F" commands within the software?
Thanks All.

Hey Steve,
Point well taken. In the past week, I purchased a camera, Final Cut, MacPro, Mic, Lights, Tripod, etc. I have purchased two books that were recommended on this site (both excellent), and a CD tutorial. I have been out shooting every day, doing tutorials and editing (to the best of my ability) every night. All of that being said, it's a tremendous amount of information, and some of the finer points get lost. I am pleased to say that I have completed my first piece on hunger experienced by seniors in our community. Very gratifying.
So, I fully appreciate the apparent laziness inferred from my post, but trust me, I'm fully engaged, just overwhelmed.
Shane, thanks for "pinch hitting". Both solutions worked.

• How to show dock in full screen mode

Hello,
I'm wondering how to get the dock to show up temporarily in full screen mode. When I place my cursor near the bottom of the screen in a full screen app, the dock doesn't pop up. Is this normal and if so, how do I switch between full screen apps without using gestures on the mouse? I'm really hoping that this is a bug.
Thanks

Alternatively you can use the same principle anywhere on the screen, you do not have to scroll to the bottom. Simply move the cursor to the screen edge where your dock is then move the cursor the same direction again. You do have to briefly pause between the two movements but you can do this anywhere the dock is located, it does not have to be at one position on the screen. That should speed things up a bit and prevents the dock from appearing by inadvertently scrolling to the side or the bottom.
If you can, get a Magic Trackpad, Lion navigation works very well with one of these, I think that the days of the mouse are numbered. The numbers of gestures available with the Magic Trackpad is extensive in Lion.

• How can I get a full screen on facetime

How can I get a full screen on FaceTime

You woul dprobably need to choose a zoom display mode on the TV.
Any screem shots / promos for mirroring I've seen have been 4:3 ratio like the iPad screen resolution.
To me this would be an obvious source of frustration to users of 16:9 TVs - unless there's an ipad 2 mode to somehow run in 16:9 not using the whole screen or not displaying the edges for mirroring, AppleTV2 may not be able to fill the screen

No, there is no legitimate way to downgrade iOS to an earlier version.
Be patient, Apple will eventually get around to fixing the "bugs" in iOS 6.
