How to change item value after re-loading the page.

Hi all,
I have two pages 1,2. From page 1 I am calling page2 (like LOV) by using callMyPopup and in page2 i am setting some variables and returns/refreshes to page1 refreshes using window.opener.window.location=new_url java script, at same time it pass few parameters to page1. How can I write some pl/sql code to show some message to user on page1. I mean I am returning some numbers so i want change into meaning full text. I tried processes no luck. Please help me.

Thanks for the reply and as a work around method I used the Photoshop to do all the adjustments then export the video to iMovie to finish the final cut. I also have a problem to paint or clone on a blank video layer created in Photoshop. It tells me the time is beyond the target frame time, I don't understand the message. How to set item values when redirecting to the same page.

I just created a redirect button that I want to redirect to the same page and set the 2 page items on the page to the same value they had before the redirect.
But I can't write:
Set These Items: P1_Permit_Number,P1_Fishing_Year
With These Values: &P1_Permit_Number.,&P1_Fishing_Year.
Because there are no values in the session state, since a submit has not been done.
So how do I do this?
I know how to get the values stored in the items, e.g., $v('P1_PERMIT_NUMBER')
but where do I place that command? It's not allowed under "With These Values"
And I don't really want to make this a submit button and create a process that says:
P1_PERMIT_NUMBER := $v('P1_PERMIT_NUMBER') because that would complicate the page too much -- I already have other processes and branches on the pages whose conditions would have to be modified so that they don't run during this scenario.

Thanks Gary and Andy. I rewrote the function according to above instructions:

But when I entered a value for permit number and fishing year and redirected, the word "null" appeared in the Permit page item, instead of the permit number that I had entered.
Remember that I am not submitting here. So if the syntax you showed me, i.e. getElementById('P1_Permit_Number'), searches for the item's session state, then it will be wrong, since there is no session state value for the items at this point. Perhaps that is the reason I got the null?
If so, what can I do?

How to change field values AFTER Inbound IDOC Posted successfully

Hi SAP Experts,
In my project I receive the inbound IDOC PORDCR05 from PI and posted as an Purchase Order in ECC.
I create the Z process code and Z function module (which is a copy version of IDOC_INPUT_PORDCR) and complete all the necessary configuration steps. It works perfectly.
My problem is: I have to collect some inbound idocs (that satisfied some criteria) and change the value of field EKPO-TXJCD and EKKN-KOSTL of the PO AFTER it posted successfully (means the purchase order is created and save in database).
How can I do this? I've try to put the logic code in Z function module, but it does not work, since at that time, the Inbound IDOC is not updated to the database yet.

as per your cretiria pick the idocs and take created PO# from status 53 & use the BAPI (BAPI_PO_CHANGE) to change the neccessary values in the PO. We can't reprocess those idocs again.

MODIFY (indicator DEFAULT 'I');
Incidentally, INDICATOR is a keyword in Oracle, so you may have problems using it as a column name. If so, you'll have to enclose the column name in double-quotes, and be careful to use capital letters inside the quotes.

On the properties tab of the characteristics (within input query) you can decide what values need to be populated when the query opens.

Hi If you have set SGA_TARGET and PGA_TARGET , then you dont have to wory for the individual components.Oracle internally handle it .
You can get the information for each components using below sql
sql> select * from V$SGA_DYNAMIC_COMPONENTS;
If you want to find the optimize size of few of above components , take AWR report(by running script @?/rdbms/admin/awrrpt.sql). At below of report you will see SGA Memory Summary,Shared Pool Advisory,SGA Target Advisory,Java Pool Advisory,PGA Memory Advisory . So accordingly you can reset above mention parameters. This will put lower limit for these parameters

that didnt help because when i plug in my iphone to the computer it doesnt show my iphone in itunes all it does it pop up saying if i would like to download and update my ios software to ios 7.1.1 . when i put it in to DFU mode it didn't do anything and thre computer did not recognise it and neither did itunes. so i dont quite understand how to do this ill keep on trying and see if im in luck.

When I ope my mail in gmail. I click on a link to open a new tab and show me what ever it is I've just clicked on....Firefox won't just load the page like it did before I upgraded to this latest version. It says: Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page. and asks me to allow. I allow.
How can I tell firefox that if I have clicked on a link, I want to view it. That seems intuitive enough. I don't want to allow every time. I do this all day~

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
