How to change title of a field in SAP Query

Dear All,
I have created a financial query. I want to change the field title which is displayed in the layout. Pls guide what is the process to change the title of a field appearing in the report.

Hello,
I believe you have created the query in SQ00.
Go to SQ00.
Select your Query.
Click on Change
On the Top Left Hand Corner, you will find "BASIS MODE"
Click on the Basis Mode Button
Once you click on Basis Mode Button, you will get "Title"
Change the title what you are intended to change.
SAVE the entries.
Execute the Query.
You will be able to see new Heading on the Query.

Hi Ujed,
if SUBSTR stands for substring, then possibly your question may be how to get the substr method as konown in languages like php in ABAP. If SAP Query points to a SAP query as created in transaction SQ01, then you should explain what you want to achieve.
Note: Better ask a specific question and get am answer you can or which is already generalized.
If I need a substr function, I'd create a functional method for that:
method substr
importing
    anyfield type any
    offset type i
    length type i
returning substring type string.

    substring = anyfield+offset(length).
catch cx_root.

Hi,
On the properties tab of the characteristics (within input query) you can decide what values need to be populated when the query opens.
Is your exit written on char relationship?

Or you can select 1 by 1 in the same order, you want to display.

Additional fields in SAP Query

Hi ,
We have a requirement in HR reporting wherein we are providing the late attendance records of the employees. That is the person is scheduled to come at a respective time but he comes in late and this record is created in attendence infotype . Now we need to see the variance in his planned and actual arrival . Majorly all the fields are availabe in the Infosets but the one with the variance is not there . So do we need to create a custom report for the same or it can be handled in the SAP query adding one field for calculation. If it can be handled , how can that be possible .

Text of additional fields on SAP query show blank

Hi All,
I'm encountered a problem when text of additional fields on SAP query is not working and it's show blank after HRSP is implemented.
SAP_ABA : Rel. 701 Lvl. 3
SAP_BASIS: Rel. 701 Lvl. 3
SAP_HR: Rel. 604 Lvl. 8
Below are the config that we have done before HRSP in table: TEXC_FLD_C and it's work perfectly.
Table Name: P0000_AF
Field Name: ZZAPPRATING
Function Module: ZHRGYYFMPA_PDRATING_TEXT
Exception Priority: 1
Object Type Name: CL_HR_TEXT_IDENTIFIER
During debugging, we found that program (Form: %_GET_PERAS) is retrieve text of additional fields based on structure P0000_AF. At this point, text of fields are successfully take place and filled. However, program try to retrieve the text based on structure P0000 again right after that. Due to additional fields are added on P0000_AF not P0000 and no ZZAPPRATING field found in P0000, hence program has cleared the text which filled in previously. This give the result, text is blank.
Please advise, how should I get this resolved.

Multiple Value in additional fields using SAP Query

I have a question related additional field in SAP Query. I tried to create report about PR and PO using SAP Query. Since one PR can be converted to multiple PO, I decided to create additional field
po_1
to display the value of PO that related to the PR. But I meet problem when I want to show several PO number in additional field

, I couldn't look the way to solve this problem. Can anybody help me? Just for info, I assign value to additional field

HI,
IN SQ02, IF table is already in JOIN, just click on the PLUS sign to expand the strcture.
All the field showing Plus sign in the strcture are selected in your query and with MINUS sing are no selected.
So you have to just click on the MINUS sign for the field you want to use through table field.
Generate the query and execute thriugh SQ01.
If you want to add some other field which is not a part of JOIN,
then click on EXTRAS Button shown in the MENU option.
Click on Create button and system will ask abt the additional field.

How to change crystal report data field at runtime ?

Hello everyone,
I have a Crystal Report file ,which i am using to generate report for my windows form project .
In that report i have a filed called as Quantity which data type is set as decimal, the requirement is like that the number of value those comes after decimal point that should be set according to the value which is given by the user at the run time .
For eg: If user gives 1 at the run time then the report Qty field value set one value after decimal point. Like 12.1
if user gives 2 then Qty field the value is 12.22 like tat but user can give from zero to any number.. and if it is zero it should not show decimal
Note: The main idea hear is how to change the filed in Crystal Report decimal point value by using code(or we say writing code we need to set manually as user input it will change)
Can any body help me how to solve this issue .

I think you could probably make the field you see a formula field and take a parameter as the number of decimal places.
totext converts a number to a string.
totext({decimalField}, 2)
That's 2 decimal places.
You could probably substitute a {parameter} for that 2.
If not then you could substitute an entire formula.
To explore formulas:
foreach (FormulaFieldDefinition f in rpt.DataDefinition.FormulaFields)
MessageBox.Show(f.Name);
// f.Text = your new formula
Where rpt is an instantiated report.
Or add another string field which you display in the column and do the calculation with the original decimal.

Hi,
Once transaction data is posted, GL Account cannot be made into an open item managed account. However, you can consider the following options:
1. GL Account Balance is ZERO: If the GL Account balance is ZERO, the GL Master record can be changed to Open Item managed Account or vice versa. But this will not change the transaction data already posted. Only future transaction data will be open item managed.
2. Until SAP version 4.0B SAP has provided a program to convert a GL Account to open item managed account after transaction data is posted (or vice versa). You can execute this program by blocking the GL Account and this will make the required changes in tables and also change GL Master record.
But this program is not available for execution in higher versions. Hence, you can copy the program into a Z Program and execute it. The name of the standard program is RFSEPA02.

I created a query and infoset using sq01,sq02 transaction i have Cost Center field in the query that is pointing to P0001-KOSTL.
when i execute the query by giving the cost center criteria ,query is getting executed on the Local Cost Center .But i want that to be executed on Global Cost Center.
Does Cost Center point to Local Cost Center only.How will I change it to point to Global Cost Center

Bala,
Your question is not clear. Cost center is maintained on employee infotype 0001 (home cost center) or in infotype 0027. If the selection criteria is on costcenter field on IT 0001 then query will filter based on that.

How to change the order of fields when exported to csv

I am using LiveCycle Designer 8 and have created a great form with the correct tab order.
However, when the form is filled in and returned to me, the fields in the CSV file are all over the place. How can I make sure the fields in the CSV file are displayed in the same order as the tab order?

The actual requirment is to re-arrange the elements of the queryoutput node, to look more organised
say for ex.
Seq 1:
c code company name g/l ac g/l ac description
Seq2 :
g/l ac description c code g/l ac company name
Seq 1 way of representation is more organised that Seq2. How can we achieve this re-arranging of ordering in the queryoutputnode.
