How to check if a list contains items from another list

Hi all,
I am trying to check whether a text list contains items form
another list and then do something. I tried:
tlist contains text phrases (e.g., test1,test2,test3)
phrases = ["test1","test2"]
n = phrases.count()
tList.getPos(phrases.item[n])
alert("should not be inluded in the list")
But it is not working any ideas why?

myPhrase is the loop index, but instead of a numerical index
(like n in your sample), myPhrase is set equal to each item in the
phrases list, first item to last. So, on the first iteration
myPhrase = “test1”, on the second iteration myPhrase =
“test2”. The loop automatically exits when the end of
the list is reached. The Director help docs have more information
on this syntax under “repeat”
BTW: if you're more comfortable using a numerical index, the
syntax for getting at the n-th item in a list is list[n], or in
your sample phrases[n]

I am building a fillable form. In this form, I have created items in a dropdown list. Based on the item picked from the dropdown list, I need a corresponding checkbox to be checked. I am certain there is an easy javascript to resolve my current problem. Please assist.
For example: dropdown list field (SubSupplier1) -   Demolition                            export value 2
                                                                                Rough Carpentry Labor       export value 4
                                                                                Rough Carpentry Material    export value 3
I need the corresponding checkbox (SalesTax1) to automatically be checked when Demolition (export value 2) or Rough Carpentry Material (export value 3) is selected.

Hi Jennifer,
This should help you do what you need. Place it in the Custom Calculation property of the dropbox and select "commit selected value immediately" in the fields options:

if ((drop.value == 2) || (drop.value == 3)){
check.checkThisBox(0,true);
else {
check.checkThisBox(0,false);
The code is asking if the export value of the field is either '2' or '3' and if so, check the box.
Otherwise uncheck the box.
If you don't want it to uncheck on other selections, remove the 'else' section of code.

Component to allow the user to build a list from another list's items

Hello everybody,
I'm looking for a widget that allows the user to create a list by choosing from items from another list.
Something like the tool to customize the button bar in MS Office or MS Explorer. You can see an example of what I'm talking about:

It would be easy to program a component like this (and I've already found some piece of code by Googling), but I'd like to know if someone made a stable Swing component of it to avoid reinventing the wheel.

Click-edit behavior of List-container items

Hi,
Sorry if it has been asked, but I couldnt find it. I would
like to know if it is possible to start editing an item in a
List-container when a user double-clicks. With default settings it
starts editing on a single click. I couldnt find anything in the
documentation. How can I change this behaviour?
Also, is it possible to set the focus on a List-container
item in edit mode? What I mean is that I could implement a
double-click event-handler that changes the List-conatiner from
not-editable to editable and then put the double-clicked item in
edit-mode. Is this possible? Than I could implement my desired
double-click-edit behaviour easily.

I was trying to find an answer to the same issue. I never
found anything in the documentation either. After walking through
the Tree and List class a bit I came up with this. Here is an
example where the Tree is not editable and double clicking a node
will allow you to rename it.

From your post, it seems that you are using SharePoint 2013 workflow platform in SPD.
If that is the case, we can use Call HTTP web service action to get the item data, but we cannot use Call HTTP web service to create a new item in the list in another web application with these data.
As my test, we would get Unauthorized error when using Call HTTP web service action to create a new item in a list in another web application.
So I recommend to achieve this goal programmatically.

Problem while storing items from trailing list to database

hi all,
can anyone help me out. i have scenario where i have to store items from trailing list into database. suppose if there are 3 items in the list, 3 rows should be inserted into database with all the remaining fields same like
A ,1 , c
A, 2, c
A , 3, c where 1,2,3 are items from trailing list. Am iterating the loop.
What am doing is before saving am checking for duplicates i.e are there any records with the same combination. If yes am doing nothing else am committing the changes..
As am not doing anything if any duplicte record is present, the changes made to the fields persists and once if any commit happens all the values are getting saved. which is voilating my condition..

Javascript help to copy selected items from one list to another list on same site

So I have a request that I am not sure how to handle. I have created a page with a list view webpart that displays all the items from one list.
The user is then supposed to select off multiple list items and click on a button (most likely a ribbon button) that will take the selected items and copy them to another list on the same SharePoint site.
I would like to do this with JavaScript, but have only found an example that copies library items to another library.
