Hi !. My problem is that I was moved to a project in my company where we are developing with ADF 10.1.3.4.0 and EJB and I can't find the way to empty the rows from my table when the page loads... I know how to do it n 11g but not in this one... I will be checking out the forum... Any question I will be awared...

Hi,
best practices when deleting multiple rows is to do this on the business service, not the view layer for performance reasons. When you selected the rows to delete and press submit, then in a managed bean you access thetable instance (put a reference to a managed bean from the table "binding" property") and call getSeletedRowKeys. In JDeveloper 11g, ADF Faces returns the RowKeySet as a Set of List, where each list conatins the server side row key (e.g. oracle.jbo.Key) if you use ADF BC. Then you create a List (ArrayList) with this keys in it and call a method exposed on the business service (through a method activity in ADF) and pass the list as an argument. On the server side you then access the View Object that holds the data and find the row to delte by the keys in the list

How to update multiple rows in ADF Tble

Hi,
I have created a search form and ADF table. This ADF table is having column of Select Boolean check box along with actual table columns.
When I click on Search button it should show the result in ADF table. I will be able to select the check box in multiple rows.
Finally when I click on Submit button status column should be updated against the rows for which Boolean check box is selected.
Here the thing that I would like to know is how to identify the rows whichever are selected when I click on Submit button.
Could you please help.

How to add new row to adf table progrmatically

I have a bean with a list and correspoding getter & setter methods inside it.
I created a datacontrol out of the bean and I am displaying af:table in the ui
binded to this list.
Ex:

I need to insert a row in table when clicking on the "New", can someone help me? Citing some examples? I'm lost.
My table is called tableArchive, and I need to add a line on it.
This table is a list called listArchive, which is associated to this table.

On the button drag drop createInsert operation from DataContol .
go to data control->open your table VO-> open operatin inside that.-> drag drop the createInsert.Put id of button into partial trigger of table.make button autosubmit to true.

How to save multiple rows using ADF faces ?!

Hello;
I am developing a search page using ADF faces (jdeveloper 10.1.3).
after building my view i dragged it as search form on my page then i dragged it again as a read only table to display results with different iterator.
I have a field act as a flag with 'Y' and 'N' value so i converted this field in the table to select boolean checkbox.
what i need is ...
after processing search operation i want to update this flag by 'Y' or 'N' (select/un-select checkbox) then click on a save button to save all result rows flag with its new status to the data base.
Wish to know how to implement that.

How to create new Row in ADF Tree

I have create a ADF Tree from a VO in my page and I want to add new Row to the Tree before the Tree loads into the page.
can any one provide me the sample code to insert the new Row at runtime.

Create a method in AMimpl that would create a new row for the VO and expose it to the thru client interface.
In the page Def for the page that has the tree, add the method action in the bindings section.
You can invoke this method using phase listener.

How to maintain selected row in adf table displayed after refresh

Hi,
I am using jdev 11g
I my jsf page I have a table with multiple rows.
When i scroll and click on one of the rows its selected but if the page is refreshed the row is always selected but not displayed.
I need to be able to maintain the selected row after the refresh of the page, so my table will look like its already scrolled to the selected row..
I tried to use the attribute displayRow="selected" but it won't do the trick.

How to combine two reports in obiee 10g(not union)

Hi Everyone
I have got a requirement where client is asking to combine two report to one
Report A has columns
"Region", "category" ,"in house " ,"sales" which can be shown by applying filters for current running year
Report B
Region,Category, Week5,week6, week7,week8 in this showing sales in individual week by using pivot view and limiting to four weeks
with a week filter
Now client req is to combine both reports into single one
region, category,inhouse,sales,week5,week6,week7,week8 here the issue is inhouse and sales data has show yearly data and week 5,week6,week7,week8 has to show weekly data .And weeks columns has to get updated automatically .
I am having a confusion in this will it possible to combine both reports, if possible pls help out how to do it

First of all, proof read your post. Generally, grammatical and punctuation errors can be deciphered, but where words are critical to presenting your issue clearly, you must type those sentences correctly. Otherwise, it can be confusing and turn off someone who may want to help.
"...which can be shown without and filters and want data for current year." What does this mean?
"...And weeks columns have to update its week no based on that week." What does this mean?
In an attempt to answer you question, do this:
1) Base your query filters on the "current running year." This will satisfy the requirements for displaying data from the first report.
2) Now add 4 "sales" columns (i.e., same column, but 4 instances of it). In each of these columns, click on the fx button, click on Filters, go to your Time dimension and select the appropriate week, and then click "OK." Now, each of these columns will hold the measure value for the particular week while the "sales" column will have the "running total" for the whole time period.
Once you get the above to work, you can work on automating this by substituting a function in place of the hard-coded week number values.

ADF mobile : How to insert new rows in shopping cart application

Hi All,
I'm developing a shopping cart sample application.
The first page shows 3 rows(with item and quantity columns) and "Add Row" & "save to shopping cart " buttons . On clicking add row button i want to add 4th row to the table and on clicking "save" button all the items should add to cart.
Can somebody tell me how to add dynamic rows in adf mobile and access the data in DC to save the data.
