How to clean up propagation error?

I have Asynchronous Distributed Hotlog CDC setup between a 9.2.0.8 (source) and 10.2.0.3 (staging) databases. There was a temporary lost of network connection between the two db and the source database is now reporting a ORA-12535 during propagation error.
SQL> select instance, last_error_msg from dba_queue_schedules;
1 ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out
The network is now ok but the error does not go away. How do I clean up the error to continue propagation w/o dropping and creating the entire change set?

If stop/start_propagation don't do it, then I would try using DBMS_AQADM.UNSCHEDULE_
PROPAGATION and DBMS_AQADM.SCHEDULE_PROPAGATION

4-I have setup succefully streams environnement bidirectionally between the 3 databases

I have script to display apply errors and i would like to know if there is any scrip to display propagation errors because oracle tools like enreprise manager displays only the last error. Is there any script to display all propagation errors?( i use oracle 9.2.0.1)

You could write a procedure to collect all propagation errors reported in catalog to your own history table. And run this procedure every couple of seconds using dbms_job to check for any errors in catalog.

How do I deal with error code -8003 ?

When I try to empty my Trash with a certain app in it I get error code -8003. I can't find reference to that code anywhere and do not know how to clean up the trash.

DispatchKeyEvent propagation error

Hi, I have a JDialog and there is at a certain moment a child modal JDialog. These 2 dialogs have this code

so when the user press escape, it simulates a cancel operation. But the problem is that when the user press ESCAPE in the child dialog, the parent dialog also close. How can I stop the propagation of the key event so only the child dialog will close ?

Please note changing the maintenace mode makes no difference.

Database refresh from production to test -how to clean existing test env

My environment is
Both Production and Test databases are in two node RAC environment
Oracle version - 10.2.0.4.0
OS - RHEL5
Production database size 80GB
We need to refresh the test environment from production database. Complete objects, data etc should be refreshed.
We have a datapump export from production environment. With this export dump from production environment, I need to import into test environment.
So far, I have imported with this kind of dump to the fresh database only.
Now, we have already objects, data sitting in the test environment. How to clean the existing test environment and refresh the production datapump export dump.
I thought of dropping all the tablespaces in test (other than system,sysaux, undo and temp). But not able to drop few tablespaces, it is telling that index is available in other tablespaces, dependency errors etc.
Which is the best method to clean the existing test database. Management is not interested in dropping the test database and recreating it.

I understand that you are Newbie , let give me simple steps.
Follow the steps on testing envi.
1. Drop only Application users that you want to refresh from Prod(Do NOT drop users system,sysaux.. or tablespaces)
2. Create the users that you dropped.
3. using import or import data pump import the data.
In case you want to import user"A" data to "B" use REMAP_SCHEMA option.

Error -36 stands for an I/O Error.
File is not readable. You would need to generate a clean, error-free copy of the damaged file. Since some segments of the file are not readable, the best that can be done is to skip them.

Are you getting the error with any PDF that you open in IE, or just a certain type of PDF? You can you please try the following and let me know if you're seeing the error?
1. Launch Reader;
2. Choose Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup";
3. Click on "OK" button;
4. Exit Reader;
5. Launch IE and open the PDF file.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please uninstall Adobe Reader using Adobe's Cleaner Tool. The tool is available at the following link:-

1) QT-7.6 loads on XP-prof_sp3 OS PC with DirectX-9, but on running gives error as follows:

2) After repeated trials in installation the QT-7.x, it is neither running nor de-installing from start-up or control panel. It rolls back de-installation after almost completing it.
3) Also tried QT removal from system as given in the qt-support site i.e delete folders and qt files from win/system32 and recycle bin after de-installing using regcleaner>qt de-install using qt uninstall start-up menu>run regclean>shutdown>restart>reinstall qt-7.6>gives installation error now....???

you must create the repository service with a matching code page
- remember that the code page cannot be changed after the Repository Service is created

later on at step "4.6.4 Creating the Informatica Integration Service"
it throws
"LM_36011 Code page mismatch. Service process is running in code page
[ISO 8859-1 Western European] whereas the service is configured
in the Admin Console to run in code page [UTF-8 encoding of Unicode]"
so I had to set the language env variables before starting the service

The only real and safe way to do this is to do it manually looking through each folder individually.
Many third party utilities claim to clean out a hard drive of various detritus, but some times will deleted data that it shouldn't and delete important data and that it shouldn't have.
The only "safe" way to accomplish what you need to accomplish is to do this manually.
Stay away from the OS X system folder!!!!!
If you had a duplicate system install and had duplicate system files, your iMac would not be running right now.
Hard drive getting full?
You can download an app called OmniDiskSweeper.
This app will allow you to see where files maybe able to be delete are located.
If your Mac is running a fairly recent version of OS X, here are some general guidelines.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you have images stored in iPhoto,,the only way to weed out duplicates is to do this manually.
When you delete them, they go to iPhoto's Trash. Remember to empty this when you are done.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what are duplicates and what isn't
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Other things you can do to gain space.
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.

How to handle TDMS -2519 error that appears after some time?

Dear all,
I am having two compactRio devices (cRIO-9074) that are applied for data logging and control. As is convenient, one deterministic loop handles the data acquisition, while another loop handles the data storage.
The data storage loop basically creates a new TDMS file per data set that is subsequently stored to the disk.
The whole software operates as expected for some time (at least one day without any issues), but then I get a File I/O error -2519 that is thrown by TDMS open. This error occurs after some time on both compactRio systems. How should I handle this error properly and what may be the probable cause?
Upon system restart the error disappears and the system continues logging. Therefore, when having this error, I restart the system automatically, but this is to my opinion no proper solution. The fact that the error is cleared upon system restart, seems like it is a resource problem as outlined in: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Real-Time-Measurement-and/2519-error-trying-to-create-a-TDMS-file/td-p/26546... There they recommend using the FPGA programming mode to save on resources. However, I would like to continue using the Scanning Mode Interface instead. To better dedicate the processor resources, I changed the execution options of the different loops and gave Priority to the data acquisition and data storage loop. I also distributed the processes in different Execution Systems, to optimally divide tasks within the real-time processor.
When I manually neglect the error (just clear the error in the data storage loop), the issue remains for the following data sets that need to be processed. So once the error is thrown, it reoccurs upon trying to store each subsequent data set.
I also consulted http://forums.ni.com/t5/Real-Time-Measurement-and/tdms-2519-error/m-p/2569381/highlight/true#M13920 where the same error is reported and the solution is to update a .dll file in the installation. However, the installed software in my case appears to be okay. Also in that case, the problem occurred immediately, while in my case the problem arises after some time. Again this indicates towards a resource issue.
Can you please provide me with some possible solution to overcome this problem? I am looking forward to your opinions. Contact me if anything is unclear within my explanation, or you need additional information.

Good job for the perfect description and for the well researched topic!
The first thing that comes to my mind is to Format and reinstall the software on the cRIO. This will make sure that you have a clean installation and there is no corruption in the OS.
One more thing to get into account is the memory. If you do not have enough memory where to store the file it's possible to throw this error.

This appears to be the model iMac8,1 20" screen?
I have a same era 24" screen iMac, which I recently upgraded with additional memory, and if my memory serves me correctly, memory can be upgraded on the 20" models also. I upgraded to (the maximum for my particular iMac) 6GB SDRAM (from 2GB). It make an instant and significant difference. Like a new machine! If you are prepared to spend some money, investigate installing 2 x 2GB SDRAM modules. Most good online memory stores help with the selection of the correct memory modules.
Otherwise I can highly recommend a complete backup of your data, a fresh install of OS X (10.5.8), and reinstall your files from the backup. I did this and this also made a significant difference. I'm my mind it was definitely worth the pain of the re installation of all my software.
I have little experience actually improving system performance with software - in my mind it is more error prone and problematic and eventually takes more time than a fresh install.
