How to compare table data available in two different databases

Hi,
I need to compare two tables data in available in two databases - how easly I can do that .. I have Table A in Database A and Table A in Database B which is snapshot of DB A.TableA - but here are some discrepencies now I need to match two tables .. but no extra space available, so no exp imp.

HI,
What is the difference that you are looking for, if it si for some records missing in some tables you could use MINUS and get the output. IF you are looking to compare the TABLE structure then you could look into the datadictionary VIEWS of both the database's and check the difference.

    I have some question about how to compare table data and table field.
   1. I know there is one method:   CL_ABAP_UNIT_ASSERT=>ASSERT_TABLE_CONTAINS , it use in unit test to compare the table data(A and B) , you can loop table A into structure A1, then use this mehtod it can compare whether table B contain structure A1. but when I try to use this in main program it will dump.
          CL_ABAP_UNIT_ASSERT=>ASSERT_TABLE_CONTAINS(
                                                                                                    LINE    = A1
                                                                                                    TABLE = B ).
       Is there any method or FM can be used to compare the table data ?
    2. I also want to compare two table field , try to find out the different. How to realize this.

What`s the difference, if you using loop A into wa_A, read table B into wa_B with all field, then compare with wa_A and wa_B.
The question 2, seems no standard FM available here.
Loop A into wa_A.
   Loop B into wa_B.
       if wa_A-field1 eq wa_B-field1.
       endif.
        if wa_A-field2 eq wa_B-field2.
       endif.
   endloop.
endloop.

How to compare the *.so files of two different directories?

Good morning,
I am working in a software development company that works as follows:
- we have a platform, that consists of a list of *.so files.
- we deliver a product, based on that platform, that also consists of a list of *.so files.
- all our sources are managed via Clearcase.
Now I have the following situation:
- we have created a new Clearcase view, where we (should have) all correct sources. These have been compiled, resulting in a list of *.so files.
- we have a copy of the product that we have delivered at the client.
I would like to verify whether the *.so files of the new Clearcase view are the same as the ones that have been delivered to the client.
Why is this such a problem?
- I could check the "cksum" result, but as the Solaris command "cksum" takes into account the compilation date, I have different "cksum" results for *.so files that are basically equal.
- I could check the filesize, but a small change in a source might change the behaviour of the *.so file but not necessarily its filesize.
- I could check the "what" result (the "C Compilation System" "what" command), which gives the Clearcase status, so that I can check whether the same Clearcase versions have been delivered, but while doing this, I have seen that *.so files have been delivered, the sources of which were checked OUT (!), so also this does not give me any certainty.
- In addition, it is possible that there is a change in the platform components, resulting in a different product specific *.so file, which however does not mean that the behaviour of the product specific *.so file is different.
Therefore I am looking for another way of comparing two binary *.so files, in order for me to judge the correctness of the new Clearcase view.
Does anybody have an idea?

Unfortunately, I don't have "elfsign" on my system and reading more about the command, I have the impression that this command can verify whether a signature is correct, but in order to do so, the file needs to be signed before, which is not the case here.
Do you have other suggestions?

P.s. yesterday, another issue popped up: the *.so files I am referring to are compiled from a whole list of files, and it seems that the "what" command can only check the Clearcase history of the hole list, while in our department, mostly only the impacted files are checked out/checked in for doing an update, and not the hole list of files, causing the "what" command to give erroneous results.

How to handle transactions when two different databases are involved.

consider two tables namely Table-A and Table-B part of two different databases namely ORACLE and MYSQL.
Now the project requirement is updating the Table-A(ORACLE) and Table-B (MYSQL) as one transaction. i.e. either update both the tables or rollback both the tables.
Now my question is how could i handle this situation using JDBC(Type-4) driver.Because i think at a time only one JDBC driver can be loaded into the JVM.

But anyway, you need to use distributed (XA) transactions. i believe that the latest version (5.0) of mysql actually has support for XA transactions. you need to use a to setup a distributed transaction and attach the connections for the two databases to that transaction. then it should function as you desire.

In Numberland, a spreadsheet is an entire document.
There is no way to link different documents.
(2) in the message, you ask the way to link different tables.
This feature is available and is described in iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide (which is available for free from the Help menu).
Getting the info just requires a simple search in this available resource !

i have a question related to BRF Plus management through abap program.
In brf plus application end, Field1,field2,field3 these 3 are importing parameters.
Table1->structure1->field4,field5 this is the table,with in one structure is there and 2 fields.
in my abap program, i am getting values of fields let us take field1,field2,field3,field4,field5.
And my question is
1) How to pass fields to BRF Plus application from abap program.
2)How to pass Table data to BRF Plus application from abap program.
3)How to pass Structure data to BRF Plus application from abap program.
4)How to get the result data from BRF Plus application to my abap program.
And finally , how to run FDT_TEMPLATE_FUNCTION_PROCESS.
How do i get the code automatically when calling the function in brf plus application.

Since it is a Custom Fm i cant see it in my system.
Look if u want to bring data in internal table then there could be two ways::
1) your FM should contain itab in CHANGING option , so that u can have internal table of same type and pass through FM,
2) read values one by one and append to internal table.

Comparing Tables In Two Different Databases

Hi,
As part of our project, we need to perform table comparisons in two different databases. I am currently looking for various options to accomplish this.
One of them is doing minus operation between these two tables.
Also, i have looked at the data compare option in toad utility.
Please suggest me any other options that makes my job easy.

There are basically three ways to go:
1) Get compatible software. Microsoft iSCSI target cannot do what you want out-of-box but good news third-party software (there are even free versions with a set of limitations) can do what you want. See:

All of them do basically the same: mirror set of LUs between Windows hosts to emulate a high performance and fault tolerant virtual SAN. All of them do this in active-active mode (all nodes handle I/O) and at least StarWind and DataCore have sophisticated
distributed cache implementations (RAM and flash).
2) Get incompatible software (MSFT iSCSI target) and run it in generic Windows cluster. That would require you to have CSV so physical shared storage (FC or SAS, iSCSI obviously has zero sense as you can feed THAT iSCSI target directly to your block storage
consumers). This is doable and is supported by MSFS but has numerous drawbacks. First of all it's SLOW as a) MSFT target does no caching and even does not use file system cache (at all, VHDX it uses as a containers are opened and I/O-ed in a "pass-thru" mode)
b) it's only active-passive (one node will handle I/O @ a time with other one just doing nothing in standby mode) and c) long I/O route (iSCSI initiator -> MSFT iSCSI target -> clustered block back end). For reference see:

3) Re-think what you do. Except iSCSI target from MSFT you can use newer technologies like SoFS (obviously faster but requires a set of a dedicated servers) or just a shared VHDX if you have a fault tolerant SAS or FC back end and want to spawn a guest VM

With Windows Server 2012 R2 release virtual FC and clustered MSFT target are both really deprecated features as shared VHDX is both faster and easier to setup and use if you have FC or SAS block back end and need to have guest VM cluster.

I am executed a query to get output for the particular date in two different database.
I got output in one db environment, but in the another environment i didnt get the output.
APP_DECISION_DATE column contains date datatype
ex:
