How to compare the date in  filter.......

Hi,
I want to put the filter on the expiration date in Free characteristics.  I need all the stock for which the expiration date is less than or equal to the current date.
I guess I need to create a variable for this , any suggestions ?

Hi Jeetu,
you could just create a variable on the experation date. In the selection window choose selection 'Value range' and choose in the listbox next to it 'Less than or equal'. Now drag the variable 'Current calendar day' into the Selection box.
This should do the trick.

    If I keep the Filter (globally) on 'STATUS = Y' then it returns 'NO Data'.
    If I keep the u2018Service Ordersu2019 is in u2018Rowsu2019 and the Filter on u2018STATUSu2019 (u2018Yu2019) then it works fine, but the report should be based on PLANT.

    Actually no need to work at query level...
    iN Multiprovider.... we can select the WBS element Char for which ever cube data we want... just drop down the char in to the dimension which we need and R/click the Char select identification of participating char.. un-select the check box for char WBS element for the Cubes which we dont require the data......

    I would discourage you from using a plain old text file to save your high scores in. The obvious reason being is that your little brother can just edit the file in notepad, then run to you and taunt, "I've got the highest score, nyah nyah nyah!"
    If you must do it, I would use PrintWriter and simply print out each line as needed. Reading the lines back into the game is only a tad more difficult, but you can simply read in each line as a String, and store each String in an array, or a Vector if you don't know how many high scores you will have.
    In the long run, you should create a serializable object that contains either the Vector or the Array of scores and instruct the object to save itself or load itself as needed. This is essentially how Properties work except you have more control over the internal data format.
    On second thought, Properties would work just fine, but you cannot guarantee that the scores will be saved in a particular order - you would have to add an additional routine to read in each Property (specifically, each name/score pair) and then sort them. Once you do that, there's no real difference between a Properties file and rolling your own Serializable array.

    It looks that the view is based on the master data table itself and view doesn't contain data and is a logical representation of the underlying database tables.
    Moreover the view RSDVCHA is used for viewing the  characteristics, basic chars and local properties.
    Are you storing similar values in YMETADATA?

    One of the requirements is to audit the data the user has viewed through Canned reports and also Adhoc reports created in Webi.
    I understand that we can audit what reports are accessed by the user, but not sure how to audit the data within the report. Could someone please let me know if auditing data can be acheived form SDK ? If so how ?

    The following should get you started;
    This is a report to pull Universe Name, Report Name, Action Time (last refreshed), Action Duration (execution time), User Name and Object Name (universe objects used in reports).
    The Result Objects are as follows:
    Object Name from Actions/Action Details
    Action Time from Actions
    Action Duration from Actions
    Action Type from Actions
    Action Type Detail from Actions (detail object associated with Action Type)
    User Name from Actions
    Document Name from Actions/Document
    Universe Name from Actions/Action Details
    The Query Filters are as follows:
    Action Time between Day1 And Day2
    Note: The Query Filter is necessary (obviously) only to restrict the size of the query. I wouldn't run this query without a filter on demand. Depending on the size of your deployment, you might want to restrict the query initially to a specific universe/list of universes while testing.
    At the report level, I moved Universe Name and Document Name in to (nested) sections.
    i.e.
    Section on: Universe Name
    Section on: Document Name
    Table
    Another option would be to retrieve this information from the CMS tables using WID Scanner [here|http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=80856]
    The last option would be to use the Report Engine SDK (for Webi) to write a program extract this information from the CMS tables and pass it to another table. WID scanner (above) does effectively the same thing, passes the info to an MS Access table (if I remember correctly..I may be wrong. I have'nt used it since it last tried to create a report to extract all used objects.)

    Hello Sharat,
    You have two options of saving data to excel sheet:
    Step 1: 
    Goto RSA3, change the "Data Records / Calls" to 1000 and then execute. This way instead of 10 different packets you will get one packet.
    Step2:
    Click on the list button, open the packet by double clicking it. You will see all the data on your screen.
    Step3:
    Goto System -> List -> Save - > Local File -> Spreadsheet and give some name for your xls file.
