How to conect to remote ActiveX (COM) program

Hi everybody.
I want to comunicate between LabView and another program by using ActiveX (COM).
If both - LabView and the other program is at my local machine - everything is fine.
I use the "Automation Open"-VI to open the ActiveX conection.
The problem is that if the other program is located at another PC (inside network) the "automation Open" -VI returns an error.
How can I get an ActiveX connection to the other PC?

I'm afraid it isn't quite that easy. From LV all you need to do is specify the machine name to get the remote access. However, in order for that to work, all of the COM stuff must be configured correctly for remote access (DCOM) and all the security settings must be done correctly. And if you are running XP SP2 or 2003 Server, there are additional steps to take because those OS's have tightened up security and thus have additional steps to get it to work.

If you don't know much about COM or don't have access to a COM guru that created the COM component you are trying to use, you might want to think about creating a little LV app that runs on the remote box and then use LV networking to remotely access it. DCOM isn't impossible, but it isn't easy - especially if you don't have a good grounding in non-LV COM interfacing.

Is the COM object you are trying to access a home grown one or 3rd party? Are the two computers both in the same NT Domain or are they in Workgroup configuration? DCOM uses NT security and thus you typically need to have both computers in the same domain and using a domain credential for communication.
I'm afraid I can't give you step by step instructions on how to do this (I haven't needed to use DCOM in about 6 years) - but there are a lot of resources out on the web and books like Don Box's "Essential COM" walk you through most of it. For example, here are some references to look at

1. Manually add a Message Popup step to the MainSequence of a

2. Create another sequence file and save the file as caller.seq.
3. In the MainSequence of the caller.seq file, add Action steps
using the ActiveX/COM Adapter to call into the TestStand API and
launch the launch.seq file in a new execution.You might need the
following two methods to complete this step.

so the question as follows:
1.i call the method of get sequencefileEx

but at the step of 3. i haven't get the entry point.

How to run a remote application (Non Java) from a Java program

Could you please tell me how to run a remote application (Non-Java) from a Java program without using RMI. Please tell me know the procedure and classes to be used.

what do you mean remote application.In the other pc or in your pc just apart from you application?
If the application is in your pc,the method which the upper has mentioned is
a good one!
But if the application you want to run is not in your computer,the method can't do. And you can use socket with which you can build an application listening some port in the pc which contains the application you want to run .When you want to run that application ,send the Start_Command to the listening application.Then listening application will run the application with the help of the method the upper mentioned.

Survey - How do you run Remote Manager?

Greetings,
We recently upgraded to Exchange 2010 and I'm running across the issue that many other people are.. what to do with Remote Manager. I'm just wondering how other people keep Remote Manager running? I know some people use Java Service Wrapper, but there seems to be a lot of discussion around how well that truly works. I'm just also wondering if there are a lot of companies that keep an account logged into your machine to keep Remote Manager running? Just looking for options on how to run this program without costing the company additional dollars.

You check in SM50 by executing the programing, You will come to know which select is taking more time and accordingly you modify that select.
You can do SQL trace and Run time analysis and analyse and see.
check this and use
1) Dont use nested select statements
2) If possible use for all entries in addition
3) In the where addition make sure you give all the primary key
4) Use Index for the selection criteria.
5) You can also use inner joins
6) You can try to put the data from the first select statement into an Itab and then in order to select the data from the second table use for all entries in.
7) Use the runtime analysis SE30 and SQL Trace (ST05) to identify the performance and also to identify where the load is heavy, so that you can change the code accordingly

You can go to the transaction SE30 to have the runtime analysis of your program.Also try the transaction SCI , which is SAP Code Inspector.
1 Always check the driver internal tables is not empty, while using FOR ALL ENTRIES
2 Avoid for all entries in JOINS
3 Try to avoid joins and use FOR ALL ENTRIES.
4 Try to restrict the joins to 1 level only ie only for 2 tables
5 Avoid using Select *.
6 Avoid having multiple Selects from the same table in the same object.
7 Try to minimize the number of variables to save memory.
8 The sequence of fields in 'where clause' must be as per primary/secondary index ( if any)
9 Avoid creation of index as far as possible
10 Avoid operators like <>, > , < & like % in where clause conditions
11 Avoid select/select single statements in loops.
12 Try to use 'binary search' in READ internal table. Ensure table is sorted before using BINARY SEARCH.
13 Avoid using aggregate functions (SUM, MAX etc) in selects ( GROUP BY , HAVING,)

16 Avoid Nested Loops of Internal Tables

How to connect to remote server with jmx from jvisualvm

I have a WL 10.3.2 domain running on a single box. The adminserver and managed server are running on the same box, on different ports (7001 and 8001, respectively).
I have a Spring application deployed to the managed server and I've configured it to register a Spring bean as a JMX mbean.
When I run this entire configuration on my laptop, I can run jvisualvm and connect to my server and see and manipulate my registered mbean.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to get a remote connection working, however. I want to run jvisualvm on my laptop and connect to the remote server.
I first did "Add Remote Host", where I specified the IP address. It appears that this was created successfully, and it apparently was able to determine the DNS name for it.
I then tried to add a JMX connection. In the "Connection" field, I just entered the IP address followed by a colon and 8001 (managed server port number).
In the "Use security credentials" section, I entered the weblogic admin principal and credentials.
When I click OK, it chugs for a while and eventually gives up, saying:
Cannot connect to [email protected]:8001 using
service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://nn.nn.nn.nn:8001/jmxrmi
What might I be missing?

I've resolved this. At least I was able to configure an authenticated connection. It doesn't use SSL yet, but I'm ok with that for a while.
Resolving this only required changing the command line parameters for the managed server, and being aware of the "jmxremote.access" and jmxremote.password" files. The following blog article helped a lot: [http://www.dzone.com/links/r/monitoring_your_java_application_with_jmx_part_2.html] .
I'm now passing the following command-line parameters:
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8888 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=true
The default "role" configured in "jmxremote.access" is "controlRole", and the "jmxremote.password" file specifies the credentials for that principal. I simply used that principal and credential in JVisualVM, and the connection succeeded.
And I just used the "host:port" form, not the protocol form.

PURPOSE
How to execute a remote procedure in Portal using Database Link.
DESCRIPTION
This procedure assumes that you have two databases, one of which is remote, and Portal is configured in the other.
Remote Database A:
==================
1) Create a procedure as follows: Create or Replace PROCEDURE SCOTT.ADD_TWO_VALUES ( v_one IN NUMBER, v_two IN NUMBER, v_result OUT NUMBER) as begin v_result :=v_one+v_two; end; 2) Grant execute privileges to PUBLIC on the procedure.
Database B (where Portal is configured): ========================================
1) Create a public database link and choose to connect as a specific user (say SYSTEM). By default, in an Oracle 8i database, the "global_names" parameter in initSID.ora (or init.ora) file is set to "true". This Global Naming parameter enforces that a dblink has the same name as the database it connects to. Therefore, if the remote global database (A) name is "ora8.acme.com" then the database link should also be named as "ora8.acme.com".
2) Create a synonym for the procedure in Database A. Make sure you fully qualify the procedure name in the remote database (like SCOTT.ADD_TWO_VALUES).
3) Create a dynamic page to execute the procedure. The ORACLE tags in the dynamic page will look similar to the following: <ORACLE> DECLARE v_total NUMBER; BEGIN ADD_TWO_VALUES(:v_one,:v_two, v_total); htp.p('The total is => '); htp.p('<input type="TEXT" VALUE='||v_total||'>'); htp.para; htp.anchor('http://<machine.domain:port#>/pls/portal30/SCOTT.DYN_ADD_TWO_VALUES.show_parms', 'Re-Execute Procedure'); END; </ORACLE>
4) Portal does not have an option to create a form based on a synonym. Therefore, if you want to create a form instead of a dynamic page, create a wrapper procedure and then create a form based on this procedure. For example: Create or Replace PROCEDURE PORTAL30.ADD_TWO_VALUES_PR ( v_one IN NUMBER, v_two IN NUMBER, v_total OUT NUMBER) as begin add_two_values(v_one, v_two, v_total); end;
5) Grant execute privileges to PUBLIC on the procedure.

i m working on File to RFC scenario. the records are getting displayed in sender CC and receiver CC. But in receiver CC i m also getting the following error:

How to Compile & Deploy the Java Concurrent Program File

There is a requirement to create the Java Concurrent Program in Oracle eBusiness. I am able to create the Java Concurrent Program file. But unable to do the following things:
1.Since it is custom file, which location I will deploy the file?
2. How to compile the file?
3. In the execution file path and executable file name what should I specify for JCP?
