How to Connect Tables on Separate Pages

Does anyone know if it's possible to have a table (B) be automatically updated when table (A) is changed?
I am wondering if it's possible to have Table B match Table A, less a few columns and rows of info.. Table B is on a separate spreadsheet and a separate page; but shows as a tab in the same file.
Currently we copy and paste Table A in Table B's place; delete some rows and columns and function this way. But, we would love for Table B to automatically update when Table A is updated.
Can anyone help with this?

Yes it's possible. Tables in Pages are actually spreadsheets, just like in Numbers.

Hi, I am looking for a clear document on how to use pagination and the Odd and Even pages.
We need to print a table over several pages, but only on Odd pages.
On the back of each page we need to print "Terms and Conditions". Is that possible? Can it be done without scripting
We are on ADOBE version 8.1
In the file properties, double sided is switched on, and version set to 8.1 and higher.
I created two Master pages, a FrontPage with ContentArea1and a BackPage with ContentArea2.
FrontPage is used for uneven pages, BackPage is used for the even pages. The masterpages are printed correctly (alternating properly).
Two pages were created for the content area's:
ITEMS: contains item data (table with header and footer). Place is "On Odd Page". After "Goto page BackPage". And if the table needs to be paginated it goes to BackPage with overflow leader "Conditions".
CONDITIONS: contains a textfield (Terms and Conditions). Place is "On Even Page". After "Goto page FrontPage". No overflow.
What should happen is that on the front pages the item table is printed. If there are too many lines it should overflow to page number 3 then 5 etc. All the even pages should display the text.
What actually happens is that the item table also gets printed in the content area for the Condition text...
Also the "Conditions" are not printed on the last back page. But only once before it...

Fixed it... After a lot of creating, deleting, playing around with pagination and the inevitable cursing...
I have created 5 pages:
1. FirstPage
     - Odd/Even: Odd (Front) Pages
     - Placement: First page (In page set)
2. FrontPage (For Odd pages)
     - Odd/Even: Odd/Front Pages
     - Placement: Rest of Pages
3. BackPage (For Even pages)
     - Odd/Even: Even (Back) Pages
     - Placement: Rest of Pages
4. LastPage
     - Odd/Even: No Odd/Even Restrictions
     - Placement: Last page (In page set)
5. DummyPage
     - Odd/Even: Blank pages
The 'Terms and conditions' are located on the BackPage and LastPage (as a text).
The table that is printed is (of course) located on a normal page (flowed subform).
Pagination tab: Placement = Following previous, and After = "Continue filling parent". No overflow... Basically, it's all default.
The table lines will now start on the first page and if there are more lines than can be printed on this page, it will continue in the next content area. That will be on the FrontPage.
The trick is that each master page must have a content area (mandatory). Except for Blank pages, but these cannot be used... Blank pages would only be used once, after the first page.
What I discovered is that you can drag a content area away from the Master page and attach it to a different master page.
Logically, if there is no content area on a page, then data cannot be printed there. So, I created a Dummypage. On this page I dumped the content areas from the LastPage and the BackPage. As a result, content cannot be printed anymore on the back of pages. Only the standard text (a text field) is printed there. When the data from the table is overflowing, it will automatically overflow from the FirstPage to the next content area. Which is located on the FrontPages only.
The DummyPage is NOT used anywhere.
The result is that the records can only be printed on the content areas that exist on the First and Front pages. The back pages are now skipped.
Duplex printing is now working correctly, and the text is printed on the back of all the pages.

Is it possible to create interactive drop down lists that reference tables on separate pages of the PDF?

I am looking to create a user input PDF in which drop down lists are utilized to search tables, however, I am not very familiar with the options that are available or if this is even possible? Also, is it possible to write a background code that could read user inputted text to run a search or even solve some equation? PDFs have no concept of "tables" like MS Word or MS Excel has. There is content that looks like a table.
Acrobat JavaScript does know about arrays and form fields. So one could have an array in JavaScript and fill in a series of fields that looks like a table. One can then use JavaScript to search the table.
JavaScript in Acrobat can accept user input in fields and pop-up windows.
It is possible to solve user imputed equations if the proper notation or coding is used.

Make separate pages in Number '09

I am creating a Table of Contents; would like each letter of the alphabet to be a new page. How do I create 26 separate pages without adding/deleting rows? I will be adding new entries constantly so adding/deleting rows would be too cumbersome.

I suggest that you make one table that fills the first page and is formatted as you wish it to be. Copy this table and Paste a copy on each of the succeeding pages. Then go to the Sheets Pane and edit the table names to "A", "B", etc. Then you can quickly navigate to the letter/table of your choice by clicking on the table of your choice in the Sheets Page list of tables.

I need to add a few pages to my website, so I've created a few blank pages by going file> new> page from template. I then try to add a table to the content box of the page, but this message appears: "making this change would require changing code that is by a template or translator. This change will be discarded."
Can someone help me figure out how to get tables into my page?

How do I Hide a Row in a Table in a Pages document?

How do I hide a row or column? There is a command to "unhide" but not to hide. Because I cannot hide anything, the unhide command is greyed out - what did Apple do with the Hide Rows command for Tables in Pages? Hide it? lol!
It does not show up in a search of Help - in fact, there isn't even a mention of "unhide" despite there being a command for it!
Why do I want to hide a row? Because if I have an 8 row table in a Pages Template and I only need six of them, deleting the other two breaks all the formulae and inserts #Ref! errors across each formula, rather than automatically altering cell references as other spreadsheets do. In Numbers hiding the cells makes them disappear and does not break the formulae, but this behaviour seems to be missing from Pages.
Or is it me that has missed somethng?

As we want to use such a formula, it would be odd to destroy its ability using a different formula in a standard bottom row.
More, in a footer row, we may use shorter formulas than in other rows.
In a standard row 10 we would have to write =SUM(D2:D9)
in a footer row we enter only =SUM(D) which add the contents of every standard cells of the column D.

You can't, only Numbers can do that.
At most you could have a faked set of tables, by hiding intervening cells, but making it actually just one table.
You can also see what you can do by inserting Numbers tables into a Pages document. I've only briefly played with Numbers Charts and Tables so you'd need to look up the UesrGuides for both Numbers and Pages for how to manage them.
People neglect Numbers as the first solution for shorter published pieces like quotes. It has quite a lot of DTP features and you can keep your internal workings and notes for the quote on a separate sheet that the client doesn't see.

How can I duplicate the same table in 3 pages?

hi everybody!
i have a form with a master page (containing the invoice fields) and 3 body pages that reference the master page.
in each one of these 3 pages there is a table with one header row, 7 body rows and a footer row.
the table was copied and pasted from page 1 to page 2 and page 3.
between the body rows there are two rows that are bound with table data, one for invoice details and one for tax details.
my problem is that in the 2nd and 3rd page in pdf output invoice and tax details are empty, while the other lines are present.
it seems like there is a table index that loops once in the first page until it reaches the end of the table, so for page 2 and 3 it is already at the end...
my question is: how can i get the same complete table in three form pages?

Not sure I follow .....are you asking for Page 2 and 3 to have the same table and values in the table as on Page1 or does each page have unique data?
Where is the data coming from? Is the user typing it in or is there a separate data source somewhere?
