How to convert a VB code(Comm1.Output=Chr$(7)+"R"+Chr$(13)) to labview code
Hi,
I have a question about serial communication.
The code was written by VB, and I want to transform them to labview.
One of the code in VB is: Comm1.Output=Chr$(7)+"R"+Chr$(13), it means 'bell+R+carriage return' were sent to com1 port.
But I don't know how to write this code in labview.
Could anyone help me?

I would recommend you re-post this question in either the LabVIEW forum or the GPIB/Serial forum. Those forums are much more active and more likely to get you a response. Also, since VB is a less commonly used language and there’s probably not a direct translation into LabVIEW, you might provide more of a description of what you are trying to accomplish with your code. That said, LabVIEW has several built-in examples for serial communication that should help you get started. You can find them by navigating to Help>>Find Examples in LabVIEW, then Hardware Input and Output>>GPIB. If you don’t have the NI-VISA driver installed (or if you installed LabVIEW after installing the driver) the examples may not show up.

We have a PL/SQL Oracle App server application that we will support if we can convert in j2ee/java. But when i did take a look at the code, these pl/sql contains all HTML and java code inside the stored procedures.
And iam looking to explore some tools and mechanisms that can convert these pl/sql in a JAVA application so that i can deploy this new app into my BEA81 environment.

thanks, sangitathese pl/sql contains all HTML and java code insideJava or JavaScript. They are not the same. I wouldn't expect to see Java inside html, whereas JavaScript would be intermixed. On the other hand you might have a java stored proc (Oracle 9/10) which is generating HTML.

%>Okay, first suggestion is to never create database connections in JSP/Servlet. SInce you mentioned MVC, JSP is the View, and a servlet can be the controller to process requests and redirect accordingly.
This piece of code should be in a class invoked from the model layer (business logic components) preferably with some abstraction. Maybe you should search around for DAO pattern. That might give you an idea. -
How to convert apple tv's hdmi output to cat6 and back again

I have just reovated my room and have wired in 2 x cat 6 cables from the place which i have my apple tv set up to a projector on my wall. I want to know which converter would be best and usuable to convert the hdmi output on apple tv to cat6 and then back again to hdmi to connect to my projector?
I have already bough some relitivly cheep hdmi to cat6 sender and recervers from ebay however i can only get sound to work (i.e. i can hear the sound when i press the apple tv remote) but there is no image. the projector i am usuing is a acer but will be changing this in a few weeks

We are developing one s/w product in JSP,HTML&BEANS.Now we are in the implementation phase.During the time of Installation,without copying our source code in the customer's site I want to copy the executable files of the entire source codes? Is it possible in JSP,HTML&BEANS?In theory you can do it even with JSP but the you will be unable to run it on the standard JSP engine. :-)
From other hand, all critical logic should be in the Java Beans or at least in custom tags but not in the JSP code. Then you can protect that code and leave JSP open because there is nothing to steal or break. -

When we activate the Smartform the system generates a Function Module. The function module name we can get from Smartfrom screen from menubar
Environment => Function Module_Name . In a report we can get this Function module name by calling a Function Module standard SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME. This function module at runtime calls the FM generated by smartform, which in turn is then used to pass data from the report to Smartform. In the report given below the FM generated is /1BCDWB/SF00000152 . In this FM we can see CONTROL_PARAMETERS in import tab. This is of type SSFCTRLOP. We need to set the GETOTF of this to be X. Setting this field will activate the OTF field in smartform.
In export tab of the FM generated by smartform we can see a parameter JOB_OUTPUT_INFO which is of type SSFCRESCL. The SSFCRESCL is a structure of having one of fields as OTFDATA. OTFDATA in turn is a table of type ITCOO. ITCOO has two fields TDPRINTCOM and TDPRINTPAR. TDPRINTCOM represents command line of OTF format data and TDPRINTPAR contains command parameters of OTF format data.
In every Smartform output in OTF format, TDPRINTCOM begins and ends with //. EP represents the end-of-page value for TDPRINTCOM field.
In addition we need to set few fields at the place where we call this FM(generated by smartform) in our program. While calling this FM we should set control_parameters, output_options, user_settings and job_putput_info fields as shown in program.
Once these settings are done we can call Function Module CONVERT_OTF to convert the OTF data of smartfrom output to PDF data format. Once these are done we can call method cl_gui_fronted_services=>file_save_dialog to specify the directory path where we want to save the output PDF file. After this we can call Function Module GUI_DOWNLOAD to download the PDF file on our local system.

As there are having the facility to convert the output in .PDF or .HTML format but i want to convert that into Excel Sheet......

If your question is about the format spreadsheet, it is not possible from Reports Builder :

Restrictions
It is not possible to generate spreadsheet output directly from Reports Builder. Instead, on the command line, you can run the report using rwrun or Reports Server clients (rwservlet, rwclient, rwcgi), with DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET. You cannot store DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET as a system parameter value in the report definition (.rdf file).

How to convert Oracle reports previewer output into delimited file.
How to convert Oracle reports previewer output into delimited file if the report has more than 1000 pages.
I tried with previewer option File --> Generate to file --> Delimited file, but the report engine is crashing.Not generating .TXT file.
I observed that this option is not working for more than 400 pages.
I am using Oracle reports 6i version.
Plz suggest me to generate .TXT file from Report previewer.You can specify a delimiter (a character or string of characters) to separate the data (boilerplate or field objects) in your report output in either of the following ways:
On the command line using the DELIMITER keyword.
In the Delimited Output dialog box or DelimitedData Output dialog box (displayed with File > Generate to File > Delimited or File > Generate to File > DelimitedData) in Reports Builder.

Does anyone know how to convert the output from the standard SAP report to xml?
since it a standard report which you cannot modify you can only do the following.
submit report exporting list to memory
then
list from memory and then
use the returned itab along with CALL TRNSFORMATION key word to convert to xml.
but this only going to place the whole list content (including data and formating lines,etc) into a xml element and not the actual data alone in the list .
