How to convert PM Module Breakdown Duration (AUSZT) floating point value into Minutes

Hi Frnds,
My requirement is to display a normal alv report. Out of which one of the filed is from VIQMEL-AUSZT (Breakdown Duration).
Which is of Data type FLTP.
Details:
AUZTV
AUZTV

End of Malfunction (Time)

Breakdown Duration
1.6100000000000000E+02
Now I want to convert the value '1.6100000000000000E+02' into Minutes.
Kindly let me know the solution.
Note: I tried with standard FM 'PM_TIME_CONVERSION' and converted the break down value into hours.
For example: 1.6100000000000000E+02 to 4,472222222222222E-02.
But i want to convert the break down duration value into perfect minutes.
With Regards,
Sudhir.

Simply equate to a variable of type P decimals zero. It should give you value in seconds. Divide it by 60 to have it in minutes.

  • How to change Unit for Breakdown Duration in Maintenance order.

    Hello,
    In cuni, somebody created Unit "TST" by mistake, system can not convert it to "second" for calculation automaticlly.
    "TST" make no sence. So if maintain "TST" as Unit for Breakdown Duration in a maintenance order, dump will happen. However there is a maintenance order maintained Unit for Breakdown Duration as "TST" saved by mistake, Dump will happen when I try to access to this order by IW32 to change the Unit for Breakdown Duration. Is there any way to change the Unit for Breakdown Duration"TST" to "H" so that I can access to this order by IW32.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    You could temporarly adjust the CUNI definition for TST so that it can be converted to seconds. Adjust the notifications to set a valid unit of measure.
    The alternative would be to update the field MAUEH in table QMIH with a valid breakdown unit of measure.

  • How to restrict the decimal place of a floating point number?

    Hi,
    Here is my code:
    public void TwoDecimal(double u){
         String w = Double.toString(u);
         int c = w.length();
         System.out.println(c);
         if (c <= 5)
            double a = Double.parseDouble(w);
            System.out.println(a);
         else
            System.out.println("Invalid input!");
      }I want to show a floating point number which has 2 digits and 2 decimal places, e.g. 45.82, 29.67. This number is input by user and passed as a parameter.
    For those case like the above sample floating point numbers, it can display the proper value of 'c'. e.g. 45.67 will display 5.
    However, when I passed 99999, it will show 7; 9999 will return 6, not 5.
    So, if the user does not input the '.', does it append 2 implicit chars to it? i.e. 99999.0 and 9999.0. So, that's why it returned 7 and 6 for the length of the string respectively.
    How can I fix it?
    and
    Does it has better algorithm?
    Pls advise.

    When dealing with a known precision, in your case hundredths, it is often a good idea to use an integer type and add in the decimals on printing only. This is often the case in banking systems. Almost all of them use integer types, (read long) in pennies to store monitary values. Ever seen someone type in a value for a credit card machine? For something like $20 they press.. "2" "0" "0" "0" The machine knows the lowest denomonation in a cent, so it knows where to put the decimal place. I suggest you do something like this. It also helps to avoid base 2 round off errors.

  • How to read binary floating point values from TCP/IP

    I am attempting to use a LabView application to read an array of binary single precision floating point numbers transferred through a TCP/IP connection from a Windows C++ program. The endianization occurs before the values are sent to the Labview application. When I read the values in LabView, some values are interpreted correctly, some are not. For instance, the C program is sending a 6 as one element, and 7 as another. Labview interprets both as 6. The difference between 6 and 7 in binary format is 1 bit (bit #21 if counting from 0 in LabView format). There are 2 other values that show the same error- 459.67 is being sent, 395.67 is read by labview (1 bit difference, exact same bit... 7.5 is being sent, 6.5 is being read by LabView (1 bit difference, exact same bit). LabView reads that bit as 0, when it should be 1.
    This seems very odd to me because most values are being read correctly, including other values with that same bit on. There are values being read correctly that are both before and after the incorrect values in the array, so it's not just an issue with an offset or something in the bit stream. Additionally, when attempting to read an array of values with all bits on, I get a strange pattern of 111110011111100111111001111110.
    We have also verified that the binary representation for the values is the same on both machines, once you account for the byte swapping. What am I missing here? How in the world can some values come across correctly and others incorrectly? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Our fallback is to transfer everything in ASCII, which is going to greatly increase packet sizes.
    Thanks,
    Jason

    Update:
    Problem fixed. I say fixed and not solved because I don't know why it's fixed. I had been storing the TCP/IP read in a string and passing it through a shift register after each read. I would then concatenate it with the TCP/IP read result in the next loop. After each read, it would search the concatenated string for ASCII flags. When it found them, it would strip off the flags and then type cast the rest as single precision floating points.
    I knew I would be getting the same number of bytes each time, so I ditched the ASCII flags and had just the binary values sent. This way, I expect to get all of the values in one TCP/IP read. No values are passed through a shift register to the next loop and there is no concatenation of the string outputs from TCP/IP read.
    I'm not sure if it was the ASCII flags being included or something with the way I was manipulating the string that was causing the binary values to be interpreted incorrectly. Hope this helps someone else.

  • How to convert text module language in Smart Form?

    Hello Friends,
    I want to print a title in chinese language in smartform. How can I do it. Please help me out from this situation?.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sathish Kumar

    Normally when we display stard text , we will be either using "read text" function module or will be using include.To display a strd text in chinese it should be maintained in chinese language (SO10-please see whether Std text is maintained in chinese by giving TEXT name, TEXT ID and Language).and when we use "read text" or "include " we will specify the language also in that.
    or u can include the standard text with INCLUDE statement and LANGUAGE <> ..
    ( LANGUAGE is one of the patameters of the include stmt.)
    then the text will get printed in chinese language if it is maintained in chinese language

  • How to convert  Oct 12, 2005 03:25:57 PM IST into date type using To_Date

    Hi Friends,
    I am converting following string to date format in oracle 8i
    TO_DATE('Oct 12, 2005 03:25:57 PM IST','Mon DD, YYYY HH24:MI:SS AM TDZ') from Dual,
    But it is throwing
    ORA-01820: format code cannot appear in date input format error.
    Anybody help!!!
    Regards
    Shameem

    Hi,
    ORA-01820 format code cannot appear in date input format
    Cause: A date specification contained an invalid format code. Only the following may be specified when entering a date: year, month, day, hours, minutes, seconds, Julian day, A.M./P.M. and B.C./A.D.
    Action: Remove the invalid format code from the date specification.
    This one works (if the input string always has the same length / format):
    TO_DATE(substr('Oct 12, 2005 03:25:57 PM IST',1,21),'Mon DD, YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
    Regards,
    Gerd
    P.S. Sorry, of course we have to take care of the P.M.:
    TO_DATE(substr('Oct 12, 2005 03:25:57 PM IST',1,24),'Mon DD, YYYY HH:MI:SS PM')

  • How to convert an Object type to a float type????

    How do you concert something that is:
    Object [] element = new Object[20];
    into a
    float variable.
    I want to store, let say element[1] into a float variable so i can do calculations with it.

    Well, assuming element[1] is a String, or at least that it's toString() method returns something that represents a float...
    float variable = Float.parseFloat(element[1].toString());

    Hi,
    I am using form6i. i am selecting a set of values from database tables based upon some user parameters and writing into the text file using Text_io.put_line . In this case how we can make sure that the text fille contains all the data what we are selected from selected statement. somebody told that there might be chances of aborting of data while writing into the text file. is there any way to fild out the selected statements has written all the selected fields and corresponding output into the .txt file.
    Please suggest me.

    somebody told that there might be chances of aborting of data while writing into the text fileWhat kind of "chance" does that somebody refer to?
    If you want to verify if the number of records (lines) in the file matches the number of records from the cursor, you could re-open the written file in read-mode and count the number of lines by reading one by one, then compare the number of lines with the number of records from the cursor.

  • How do I get the proper UTF-8 NVARCHAR2 DB Value into a Java String?

    Hello, I have a mixed char 8.1.7 database with UTF-8 as my NLS
    charset. I used SQL Worksheet to enter test polish unicode
    characters 50309,50310... into an NVARCHAR2 column using
    insert...char(nnn using NCHAR_CS) and get the following result
    from DUMP(columnname,1016):
    Typ=1 Len=12 CharacterSet=UTF8:
    c4,85,c4,86,c4,87,c4,88,c4,89,c4,8a.
    Everything looks good.
    Now, how do I get them out into a Java String and verify that I
    have received the correct hex codes?
    I have tried:
    1. CHAR lChr = OracleResultSet.getCHAR(ColumnName, csUTF8); or
    and lChr.characterStreamValue();
    2. InputStream lIStr = arsResultSet.getBinaryStream(ColumnName);
    3. String lStr = (String)arsResultSet.getObject(ColumnName);
    and then:
    lStr.getBytes("UTF-8"); or lStr.toCharArray();
    I always get questions marks and negative byte values or the
    values: 261,262,263,264,265,266.
    I am using the latest 9.0.1. JDBC Thin drivers and the Oracle
    extensions: OracleResultSet, OracleStatement etc...
    Please let me know what class/method I need, to get the Oracle
    NVARCHAR2 unicode string from the result set into a Java string
    and what method to use to look at the underlying hex codes.
    TIA for any pointers.

    If I use in bdInt=sc.nextInt();a substring cannot be used.
    Does anyone know how I solve this question without substring? Perhapse something I've mentioned above

    Hello jardinpaul,
    You can use Visual Basic to call a LabVIEW DLL that you create from your LabVIEW VI. Take a look at this example on our website:

  • How to convert a number to FLOAT with 9 decimal values.

    Hi all,
    I need to convert a number like '10.02' to a floating point number with 9 decimal values like '10.022111221'. I think that the right function is TO_BINARY_FLOAT, but how can I obtain 9 decimal values? If I use the following syntax:
    select TO_BINARY_FLOAT(num) from table
    I obtain a floating point values with a variable number of decimal numbers after the ".", instead I need 9 number after ".".
    Regards,
    Maurizio.

    Hi,
    the number I need to select is the result of a product, for example:
    select (Num_A * Num_B) from Table;
    Num_A has 2 decimal numbers, like 12.01 and Num_B could be: 12.111111111.
    Now, Num_A * Num_B = 653.999999994
    but I issue:
    select TO_BINARY_FLOAT(54.00 * 12.111111111) from Table
    I obtain:
    654, a rounded value, but I need 653.999999994.
