What do you mean "i am not sure whether the tables has been ziped".
expdp is the oracle utility for exporting a database or selected portions of a database. (one could argue that it is not a "unix command", since it is an executable supplied by a third party). The output is a single file. In its simplest conceptual terms, that file contains a bunch of CREATE and INSERT statements. But it is a single file. When you zip it, you are zipping the file. The zip utility itself doesn't know or care about "tables" or anything else that may or may not be in the file. It is simply applying a mathematical algorithm byte by byte.

  • How to convert the .dmp file into my oracle database

    There is a .dmp file which produced by the oracle for NT.
    How could I use this .dmp file to create my oracle for Linux
    database?
    Please help me to solve this problem.
    Thank you very much!

    You will first need to create your database on your linux
    platform complete with all necessary tablespaces and datafiles.
    If you were going from unix to unix and each platfrom's datafile
    file structure was the same then only the system tablespace
    would need to be pre-created, import would have done the rest.
    However, you are going from nt to unix so the tablespace create
    statements will have invalid paths.
    So, list out the view dba_tablespaces. Create a starter
    database (system tablespace complete with installed options).
    The system tablespace should be the same (or bigger) at the one
    on the nt platform. Then create these same tablespaces on your
    linux platform. Once the database has been created complete with
    all tablespaces then use the import utility to populate your
    database.
    Done.

    How to convert the javasource file(*.class) to execute file(*.exe)?
    thank you!

    Although i have seen a few programs (that are platform specific) that will embed a small jvm into an exe with your class file, it is generally excepted that you cannot create an executable file using java. The JAR executable file is probably the closest your going to get

  • How to convert Oracle *.dmp files into something that SQL can read ?

    Is there a method I can use to convert Oracle *.dmp files into .txt files? .xls files or something??
    Any and all suggestions appreciated!
    Thanks,

    Hi
    you can't convert your .dmp file into text or xls file though you can see the contents of your .dmp file using parameter SHOW=Y in your import command. It will just show the contents of .dmp file and will not import the objects.

    If you have an Acrobat form (AcroForm PDF) as oppose to an XML form (XML based PDF) you can use the exportData function from the Form Data Integration service under the Common category.

    Sorry, that doesn't make much sense.
    The XML you gave is a configuration file for txt2xml utility. It doesn't represent the output format.
    Are you a user of this utility?

  • How to Enable the STDOUT file while generating ThreadDump

    Thread Dump has been printed to the servers standard out.
    where can we find STDOUT file?
    how can we enable the STDOUT file in CommandLine?
    Regards,

    A reasonably painless way, if you have the storage space, is to filter the binary content into a CLOB using CTX_DOC.POLICY_FILTER, then build the context index on the CLOB (and whatever other columns you need). Particularly if you're going to support things like snippets, markup, and highlighting, you'll save a lot of processing time -- but you will increase your storage space requirements.

  • How to align the CSV file on upload?

    Hi All,
    I have to upload a CSV file as an attachment in a mail and the data's in the internal table which has to be uploaded in the CSV file are seperated using commas which on uploading appear in the CSV file in the same column but i need the data's to be seperated in different columns and different lines...
    Pls help it is very urgent..
    Thanks in Advance...

    Hi
    For my understanding you are talking about download.
    For that you have to concatenate each fields of final internal table (gt_itab for example) using comma as below.
    TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_lines,
             line(1023) TYPE c,
           END OF ty_lines.
    DATA: l_filename TYPE string VALUE 'C:\temp\abcd.csv',
          gt_lines  TYPE TABLE OF ty_lines,
          gw_lines  TYPE ty_lines.
      LOOP AT gt_itab INTO gw_itab.
        CONCATENATE gw_itab-f1
                    gw_itab-f2 .....
               INTO gw_lines-line
               SEPARATED BY ','.
         APPEND gw_lines TO gt_lines.
      ENDLOOP.
      CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'
        EXPORTING
          filename                = l_filename
          filetype                = 'ASC'
          confirm_overwrite       = 'X'
          no_auth_check           = 'X'
        TABLES
          data_tab                = gt_lines.

  • How to debug the jar files while developing the native extension for android

    ANyone???

    I'm having the same problem. I learned FB and Eclipse. I've read the tutorials, created an ane, and built it into a test app. I can debug my test app within FB 4.7 on my mobile device via USB. But there are bugs and they silently fail. Despite all my Log statements in my android java code, they won't output to the FB console. I'm blind, without even trace statements to help fix my ane. I've searched the internet and can't find anything. It must either be terribly obvious or arcane, because no one mentions it.
    Can anyone tell me how to get trace out of an ane?
    The Android reference claims debug and verbose priority are stripped out at runtime. I switched to Log.i() but still get nothing. I suppose for now I'll try throwing errors and see if I can report trace info that way if possible.
    Anyone perhaps have a JUnit test that will mimic AIR using the ane jar file as an extension? Perhaps it will be easier to go full native until the android side is debugged.
    Update Edit: Ok, now spending more time reading the Android developers website. I've found I can use logcat to get all kinds of useful system logs, including the log output of my embedded ane. I created a nice big command line window (180 char wide with a 500 deep buffer so I can scroll back through all the messages), then from the android platform tools directory I ran 'adb shell', then at the shell prompt $>logcat

  • How to convert java class file version without decompiling

    Hi,
    Oracle R12.1.3 i am having illegal access error while try to access the class file version Java 1.3 uses major version 47,So how to convert the class file version without using decompiling.
    Current java version is 1.6.0_07
    Is there any tool or API for converting class file version?
    Thanks,

    Beside this I wonder where you get your error from since AFAIK 12c comes with java 1.6.
    Well wonder no more!
    OP isn't using Oracle 12c database.
    They are using Oracle R12.1.3 - which is the E- Business Suite.

  • Does anyone know how to convert an XML file to a readable file?

    All,
    I have been using an APP called "SMS Backup & Restore" to backup my message conversations to my Laptop PC.  It works fine BUT the backup file, once in my PC, has an XML extent such as "filename.XML"
    I would like to read and/or print and/or save the text message file so does anyone know how to convert the XML file to something else so it shows all the messages without all the formatting instructions.
    When I try to see the XML file it shows all the formatting.  If I replace the .XML with .TXT that too shows all the formatting mixed in with the text message narrative.
    When I look at the XML file in SMS Backup & Restore in the Charge phone it looks great showing all the messages just as they were on the phones display.  The problem with this is that there is no way to print or read or save the messages as they appear in the file from the phone itself.  I tried screen capture but if you have, let's say, a 28 message conversation you have to do 7 or 8 screen captures to get them all.
    If only I could convert the XML in my PC to something that is printable or savable or readable that would be the "cats meow."
    Anyone know how???

    Ann154,
    You were correct again.  I deleted everything I had done to date and re-did the entire SMS backup of my 28 message conversation again and YES I was able to open it using IE-8.  It looks great and it prints great and life is good!  I am going to go make a donation.
    Thanks again for the help.  I marked this thread as answered by you.
