How to convet a decimal number of in to base 64.

Hi friends,
my requirement is how to convet a decimal number of in to base 64.
ex:decimal number could be any type 1,1.2,-1,-1.2 etc
i found an API Base64.java but iam not able to use .
Please Help me out.

try this
Typecast your array of integers to Byte[] and use method byteArrayToBase64() as:
String encodeArray = Base64.byteArrayToBase64( new byte[]{ 3, 34, 116, 9 } );Also, browse the below link for more details

  • How to get a decimal number from three single byte numbers

i'am in a difficult situation. I have motor which provides me the number of steps moved as three numbers of length one byte.I 'am attaching the program with this message. Here the commands from index 2-4 outputs will provide the number of steps moved. But these are numbers with a single byte length(<256). So how can I get the corresponding decimal number from these three single byte length numbers. please reply

Without knowing what motor you are using, I'm guessing that you probably need to use the Join Numbers to combine the bytes into a U32.  The other option is to use the Type Cast function.

This question is not clear at all.
"Fractional decimal" is not a data type, but a way of formatting in readable form using numeric characters and a decimal separator.
Same to "hex number", but only for integers.
What do you mean by "convert"? Do you want to keep the value the same or retain the bit pattern of the numeric data type?
Hexadecimal is for integers. Are you talking about fixed point?
We clearly need significantly more information. What are the input and output data types? What are you actually trying to do?
Do you have an example input and corresponding output?

  • Levenberg Marquardt: how to use a decimal as an exponent? it only works with integers!

    Hi,
I use LV 6.1 and I want to use the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm
to extract the best fit coefficients for the following equation:
    Y =A*(X-B)^(1.7)
The data I input are X and Y (that I know)  and I
expect the vi to display A and B. I also input approximate values of A
and B. It works perfectly well for Y=A*(X-B)^2 or for any integer but
neither for (1,7), nor for  1.7 or (17/10).
Has anyone an idea how to use a decimal number as an exponent? Is there another vi I can us?
    Any help appreciated,
    Nicooo

Well, I don't think my initial parameters are the problem, because it works perfectly with a value of the exponent equal to 2 for example, but not for 2.1.
the vi computes 1000 iterations. Concerning the errors, for example  if I input 1.7 I will get  NaN for the coefficients and 0 for the error
If I input 1,7 as an exponent I get 0 for the coefficients but 23001 for the error.
I've attached two vis and somme typical data. I hope you will have a better idea than me
    Thank you for your help

  • Conversion of decimal number

    hi,
how to convert a decimal number
suppose i want to convert 500.00- to 500.
plz help me in resolving this.

    Hi Ramya,
You can use Field symbol with CASTING operator to convert decimal to Numeric Type (Intergers). You can try with other Numeric type also.
    data:wf_int type i,
    wf_dec(10) type x.
    field-symbols: <fs> type any.
    wf_dec = '28'.
    assign wf_dec to <fs> casting type i.
    wf_int = <fs>.
    write wf_int.
    kindly reward if helpful.
    cheers,
    Hema.

Is it a float or a double?
For a float, the decimal should be 4 bytes (small numbers like 1.1 start with the byte 0x40). Convert these 4 bytes to an int, using byte-shifting would probably be easiest.
    int value = ((b3 << 24) + (b2 << 16) + (b1 << 8) + b0);//b# are bytesNow to convert it to a float, use
Float.intBitsToFloat(value); Now if you want double percision, You will have 8 bytes instead of 4, and need to be converted to a long instead of an int through byte-shifting. Then use Double.longBitsToDouble(long bits) to get the double

  • Does anyone have any idea how do i key in number that contains 20digit, 17 decimal places?

I need to key in a number that contains at least 17 decimal places using numeric digit control and i need to use expression note as well. Can anyone help?

After laying down a numeric control right click on it and select "Format and Precision..." to change the number of decimal places. You can also right click and change the "Representation" of the numeric control. By default it will be a DBL which is a 64 bit decimal number with an approximate range of 10**(-308) to 10**308. This is about 15 decimal digits of precision. I know SGL will only give you 10**(-38)to 10**38, which is about 7 decimal digits of precision. Neither of these will cut it for what you are trying to do.
I would recommend using the Extended Precision (EXT) representation. According to the linked document La
bVIEW's implementation of the Extended Precision follows the IEEE 80-bit spec(on Windows OSes). Supposedly even the IEEE 128-bit spec(not implemented on the Windows OSes)only gets you 19 decimal places but I am not sure what the limitations of LabVIEW's implementation are. (I found a good table in the LabVIEW help title, "Numeric Data Types Table".)
I was able to successfully get 17 digits after the decimal point but that was with a leading 0 only before the decimal point. I think you may just be approaching the limit of how a number can be represented in this programming language.
    Anyone else?

  • How to read number of digits in a given decimal number by using abap

    Hi ,
How can we read the number of digits present in a decimal number , just before decimal.
For example: I have this number - 200.00
Now I want to read how many digits are present in this number before decimal ( . ) point. so in this case the number of digits are 3( 200). Similarly if we have a number 15.00, in this case number of digits is 2 ( 15 ) before decimal point.
How can i acheive this by using abap.

  • How to restrict the decimal entry on dynamic table in adf 11 .6

    Hi All,
      JDev version 11.6
I have a usecase based on dynamic VO. How to restrict the decimal numbers on table columns . When user enter the decimal number .I have to show error message.
In order to achieve above requirement .I have added value change listener on table column .its not working as expected

So appriciate if any alternatives on above usecase. Thanks in advance

    HI
Expected :as soon as user enter the decimal values in table column , it should throw the error message in new small new window
Getting the value change listener and validating , but its working only tab out (Because VO is dynamic )
please suggest us any reg expression and Validators to achieve the above scenario ?

  • How do I change the number formatting within a Cell Table in Microsoft Word?

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me out on an issue I've been having... I work for an accounting firm and we do a lot of financial statements.
I was wondering if we would be able to treat a cell table in Microsoft Word 2007 like I would a cell table in Microsoft Excel. Meaning, I would like to change the formatting of the numbers in the table to the "Accounting" (number) format so it
aligns by the decimal point and use the $ signs and () for negative numbers.  We do use the link tables feature, however, most of our balancing pages just can't be done in Excel because of the way the text is written. It would be much harder to format
the text if it were to be typed in Excel. We have also tried  creating an Excel sheet within Microsoft Word but it is the same as linking the tables... Again, a text formatting issue.  The only option is to use tables within Word but how do we change
the number formatting to a "accounting" (number) format where the numbers would align with the decimal point and use () for the negative numbers. Is there ANY option for us to do this other than manually entering this information in using tabs?
If there are no options other than entering it in manually, please consider this as an option for your next software update. I believe that a LOT of people out there will be interested in this feature... My manager and I just attended a webinar on Microsoft
Advanced Word Tips Tricks and Techniques and 75% of the attending people had this question but no answer.
Thank you very much for your help!!!!!

Word does not really have number formatting for table cells. You can align cell contents on the decimal point, though, by setting a so-called decimal tab stop.
    Option 1:
    - Select the cells for which you want to do this.
    - Display the ruler.
    - Click the Tab box on the left hand side of the ruler until the box contains an inverted T with a dot.
    - Click in the ruler where you want the decimal tab.
    Option 2:
    - Select the cells for which you want to do this.
    - Click the arrow in the lower right corner of the Paragraph group on the Home tab of the ribbon.
    - Click the Tabs... button in the lower left corner of the dialog.
    - Specify a tab position in the box, e.g. 1.5".
    - Select the 'Decimal' radio button under 'Alignment'.
    - Click Set.
    - Click OK.
You will have to type the numbers as they should appear, including the $ for currency and the ( ) for negative numbers.

  • How do you set the number of rows in a spreadsheet, so that even when you drag data in, in writes over those rows instead of adding a new row?

How do you set the number of rows you want in a spreadsheet, so that even when you drag data in, in writes over those rows instead of adding a new row?

After the discovery reported above, I filed this report :
    Bug ID# 10073038
    Summary:
When Numbers is used on a system with decimal comma a csv file may be good AND wrong
    Steps to Reproduce:
With Numbers v2, you introduced an interesting enhancement.
In system using the comma as decimal separator, Numbers requires csv files using the semi-colon as values delimiter.
In fact it’s true if we OPEN the document dragging its icon on Numbers one or thru the open dialog.
    This said.
    (1) Drag and drop a csv built with the 'semi-colon' standard on a table or on a sheet
    (2) Drag and drop a csv built with the 'comma' standard on a table or on a sheet
    Expected Results:
Every normally constituted user assume that in
case (1) he will get a perfectly built table
case (2) he will get every cells of a row in a single cell
    Actual Results:
In fact you forgot the drag and drop way of use and in
case (1) every values separated by semi-colon are inserted in a single cell
case (2) values separated by comma are correctly spread in a table
    isn’t it ridiculous ?
    Regression:
Except looking in  QuickView to see which is exactly the structure of the file to decide the way we will insert it in a Numbers document, we may use an applescript fair enough to replace the semi-colons by TAB characters
    or
to replace the commas by TABs and the decimal periods by commas
    Notes:
While I am on this subject, I wish to make two proposals:
    (1)  It would be fine to format the date according to the ISO format year-mm-dd when you export a Numbers doc to csv.
Doing that, dates would be imported correctly in every countries.
At this time, on an English system, you export as mm/dd/year.
If the doc is open on a system using the format dd/mm/year, the results will be odd.
On a system using the format dd/mm/year, you export this way and so, if the doc is open on a system using the format mm/dd/year the results are odd too.
As every localized versions accept the ISO format (at least on entry), using it in the export scheme would give a correct behavior everywhere.
    (2) It would be fine to add the format Tab Separated Values in the Export pane.
TSV + ISO date format would give documents opening flawlessly everywhere.
