    how to copy movement types
please help it was asked in an interview
    thanking u in advance

    Hi,
Select the movement type and go to next screen. Give range as 101 to say Y01.
then you can specify target mvt types between this range. You cannot specify new mvt type as Z01 in this case.
    hope it clarifies.

  • How do I move my catalog to new PC

I have just purchased a desktop PC. How do I move my files, folder structure & catalog there without lots of tedious effort.
My starting point is that everything is currently already on an external HDD. (When I started with digital photography, my laptop had a puny drive & I set it up on an external HDD). Now that I have a big shiny new desktop machine with alot of HDD space, I want everything homed off there & reuse my external HDD as an extra backup device.
The only way I can see to do this is to create each new folder by hand & then move each set of photos there with the move command.
There has got to be an easier way to do this! I suspect this may be an existing query on the forum, but my search skills were not up to finding it
    Thanks, Jim

Please be aware of a change to the User directory structure with Vista. This is not a simple process. Assuming you are keeping your jpegs in My Pictures:
    Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Pictures
    Windows Vista
    C:\Users\username\My Pictures
PSA 5.0 Backup and Restore allows you to keep your original file structure, but it goes all the way back to the root, and not the username. So if you restore onto Vista, the images are stored in
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Pictures. Which is pretty much useless.
Note if you use Windows Easy Transfer to move your files it will copy over your jpegs, but PSE cannot use them. Adobe should really get their file structure naming conventions worked out, and help their users to move to a new PC.
Also note in Vista the catalog is now stored in
    C:\ProgamData\Adobe

I'm using PSE 6 under XP.  I want to install PSE 8 on a new Win 7 computer.  How can I move all my pictures and my currnet catalog to the new computer?
    Thanks,

Install PSE 8 on the old computer and convert your catalog to PSE 8 format there.  Then use the backup/restore method in PSE 8 to move the catalog and photos to the new computer.  See these FAQs for details:

    Hi there,
I am just wondering how I could copy a movie from a DVD in my Laptop into the intunes mediathek.
Can anybody of you help me?

If you mean commercially released films or TV shows on DVD I'm afraid that can't be discussed as that involves breaking the encryption on them (which is illegal in most countries including the US and the EU). • How to copy/move Portal database from one machine to another?

I am receiving a ORA-22973 error (size of object identifier exceeds maxmum size allowed) on the wwsec_enabler_config_info$ table when attempting to import my entire "portal30" schema from one database to another on different Windows NT Servers.
Background: I had Portal 3.0.9.8 installed, configured, and running with the following setup:
    Machine 1: Windows NT 4.0 SP 6, Oracle 9iAS 1.0.2.2, Oracle Portal 3.0.9.8
    Machine 2: Windows NT 4.0 SP 6, Oracle 8i Database 8.1.7.0.0
We no longer have use of Machine 2 and needed to move the database over to Machine 1.
    I performed the following steps:
    1. Installed Oracle 8i database 8.1.7.0.0 on Machine 1.
    2. Set up the tablespaces in the database on Machine 1 to match the same names and sizes of the tablespaces in the database on Machine 2.
    3. Used the Oracle "exp" command to export the entire database that resided on Machine 2.
    4. Copied the ".dmp" file to Machine 1.
    5. Used the Oracle "imp" command to import the entire database on Machine 1.
    6. The import completed successfully with warnings. But I had received the ORA-22973 error during the import process.
    7. After it completed I compared the list of tables and packages in the "portal30" schema between the two databases. The wwsec_enabler_config_info$ table is missing.
    8. I tried to export and import only the wwsec_enabler_config_info$ table between the two databases, but continue to receive the ORA-22973 error.
Without the table being created, access to the portal cannot be achieved.
    Here are my questions:
    1. Is there anyway to create the wwsec_enabler_config_info$ table without receiving the noted error?
    2. Is there any other workable way to get the portal database from Machine 2 to Machine 1?
I am aware of the portal import/export utilities but that would require me to run through the 2 hour install of Portal 3.0.9.8 on the database on Machine 1 and then individually export and import all the portal components (security, pages, applications, content library, etc). I merely wanted to transfer the entire database from one machine to another, so I felt the Oracle exp/imp utilities would be quicker and less work.

    Hi,
I've been hitting problems with Portal 3.0.9.8.1 against 8.1.7.2.1 on NT - i.e., Intermedia not working at all, and have been advised by support to move back to 8.1.7.1.1.
I don't want to lose any of my content in the Portal since the db upgrade and am wondering on what is the best way to do this.
The version of the Portal will be the same so I am hoping I can just use the Portal export and import utilities, as afterall, it is just data and the schema structures are the same between db versions. I'm also hoping that the Portal export doesn't use the standard Oracle EXP tool as it doesn't work anymore on 8.1.7.2.1 on NT!!
    Regards,
    John

  • How to I move PSE12 catalog photos from a Windows 7 computer to a Windows 8.1 computer?

I have read Adobe's instructions on moving from one computer to a new computer, including some special instructions about going from XP to Windows 7. Are there special considerations in moving from Windows 7 (64-bit) to Windows 8.1? Or is it as straightforward as backing up the photos and catalog to an external hard drive, deactivating PSE 12 on the old computer, installing PSE 12 on the new computer, and restoring the backup to the new computer?

So it's not a new computer? That's what your post seemed to indicate.
Copy /My Music/iTunes/iTunes/ media/ folder on the old computer and put it into /Music/iTunes/iTunes media/Automatically add to iTunes/ folder.

  • How to copy movie to a dvd on my iMac

I would like to purchase and download a movie from a website; then burn it to a DVD and then play it on my DVD player
Any suggested procedures for easily doing this?
    Denny

use Finder, select the file you want to burn, put it in a folder, be sure file format is supported by the machine you are using eg mp4. right click on the folder and click burn ... to disc (the dvd must be in the drive). than watch the magic happen...
    Remember
like babowa said about the copyright issue
the dvd player must support the wanted format
if you are not sure if the device supports the desired format put the video on a USB stick and plug it in the machine (most DVD players have USB ports build in)

  • How can I make a catalog avaiable for all accounts on a laptop?

At the moment the PSE11 (windows-version) catalog is saved in my pictures folder. Because my wife also uses the laptop (with Win 8.1) I now want to move the catalog from my private folder to a public folder on the laptop that is accessible for both accounts.
1 Question: how can I move the catalog?
    2. After moving: are both accounts able to access the catalog with PSE11?
    3. After moving the catalog: do I need to move the folder with the pictures too (i suppose: yes)?
    Any hints much appreciated.

The inability to merge accounts has been around since they first started using Apple IDs.  An issue almost ten years in the making, that one.
What I did was just use my Apple ID for my iTunes purchases and create the @me.com address to go with it.  However, you can sign in with both on your devices to use one for your email and sycning and the other for purchases.
Apple did include this article for us in that department: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4895
