How to create a jar file which is in the remote system?

Hi,
I have a set of files that resides in a remote system,which have to be "jar"red. I have a firewall in between. I want to create a jar file out of the files situated in the remote system.How do i go about this process.?

Hi,
You can't do that in a simple way. You need to have a port open in the firewall, and you need to have a server process on the remote machine.

    $JDK_HOME/bin/jar (%JDK_HOME%\bin\jar) shows you the syntax
    where JDK_HOME is your jdk installation directory.

    Hi,
    You can make an executable jar file such that when you double click on that it starts running. Just follow the steps.
    1. Open a notepad and write the following
    Main-Class: XXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXX means Your Main Class name. Don't forget to press Enter after you write your class name.
    2. Save the file as Mani.mf
    3. In the commant prompt ( your directory ) type following lines.
    jar cmf Mani.mf Demo.jar *.*
    4. This will make a jar file which is executable jar file
    Hope this will help you.

  • How to create a Jar files

    I m New in java i want to create a jar files but i dont know how please anyone help me and answer my question thanks.

    Hi muhammadawood,
    Creating a jar file is easy. First of all, a jar file is not much more than a zip file. You can use your favorite zip program (ie. zip, WinZip, pkzip, etc) to create the jar. To do this, zip all your classes together into a zip file. Then, rename the file w/ a .jar extension. This method doesn't support a small set of features defined by jar, but it will work nonetheless.
    If you are using the Forte IDE, it has the ability to create a jar from a menu.

  • How to create Comile jar file

    hi

    Eclipse: file -> export -> jar file ...
    command prompt jar
    Usage: jar {ctxu}[vfm0Mi] [jar-file] [manifest-file] [-C dir] files ...
    Options:
        -c  create new archive
        -t  list table of contents for archive
        -x  extract named (or all) files from archive
        -u  update existing archive
        -v  generate verbose output on standard output
        -f  specify archive file name
        -m  include manifest information from specified manifest file
        -0  store only; use no ZIP compression
        -M  do not create a manifest file for the entries
        -i  generate index information for the specified jar files
        -C  change to the specified directory and include the following file
    If any file is a directory then it is processed recursively.
    The manifest file name and the archive file name needs to be specified
    in the same order the 'm' and 'f' flags are specified.
    Example 1: to archive two class files into an archive called classes.jar:
           jar cvf classes.jar Foo.class Bar.class
    Example 2: use an existing manifest file 'mymanifest' and archive all the
               files in the foo/ directory into 'classes.jar':
           jar cvfm classes.jar mymanifest -C foo/ .http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jar/TOC.html

  • How to create an Excel file from XML in the Receiver File Adapter Comm Ch

    How do I create an Excel file from XML in the Receiver File Adapter Communication Channel? I have my mapping done and I am outputting the file as a comma delimited csv file. However, the target can only process an Excel file (.xls). How can I generate an Excel in XI?
    I saw this blog, but I don't know how to create a XSLT transformation.
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/10/xi-generating-excel-files-without-the-java-nor-the-conversion-agent-not-possible
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Here are the steps I took to create an XSLT transformation in XI 3.0:
    1. I created my source and target XSDs using XMLSpy.
    2. I created the XSLT mapping from source to target in XMLSpy (referencing the souce XSD schema).
    3. I created another XSLT mapping to format the target into Excel XML.
    4. Import the source and target XSDs in the IR's External Definitions
    5. Zip each XSLT mapping (.xls) and import it into the IR's Imported Archives
    6. Reference the XSL mappings in the Interface Mapping

  • How to create a excel file which will open in every version of MS Office?

Now we are save the excel file into.xls file using this format "CNiExcelWorkbook::FileFormatExcel9795" . it will save the file. Now the problem is If that PC has MS Office 2003 or lesser version, then its working fine. But if the PC has MS Office 2007, it will giving problem. So my question is how to save  excel file which will support any version of MS Office?

    reply me @:  [email protected] or [email protected]

    In your code, write this:
    DATA my_path type string.
    GET PARAMETER ID 'ZPATH' FIELD my_path. "or any other name you choose
    double click on ZPATH, choose create. You will have created a new parameter. You can use any names starting with Z or Y.
    Go to SU01, and set this parameter there (ZPATH)..I hope this doesn't need further clarification.
    In parameter value, put the path to the file..
    After executing the GET statement, the value will be available in the variable my_path. Pass this to GUI_UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD functions, and it should work fine.

  • How to create a jar file as a library in java?

    Let me put it simple: rb.java is already put under /home/jiane/rb/rb.java;
    the tar file rb.tar being located under /mylib/rbcore/, the test client is put under /home/jiane/test.java. now rb.java looks like
    //// rb.java
    import java.until.*;
    public class rb {
    %>jar cvf /mylib/rbcore/rb.jar /home/jiane/rb.class
    test.java as below
    //// test.java
    import mylib.rbcore.*;
    import java.until.*;
    class test {
    %>export CLASSPATH="/mylib/rbcore/rb.jar;."
    %>javac test.java
    %>test.java:1 package mylib.rbcore does not exist
    so, how to make adjustment to rb.java & test.java so that I can make use of jar file rb.jar. please shows the steps to do. thanks a lot.

    import mylib.rbcore.*;This assumes the package mylib.rbcore and imports all its classes.
    But the source of the class does contain package statement, so the class is in the default package.

  • How to create a unique file name each time the form is saved?

    I've got a form with several data items. When the user saves the form, it saves it as an .xml file. So far so good. But then I want the user to be able to start over and put in a new data set. I used the reset form button and this clears out the old data. But when the user goes to save the form for the second set of data, the default name of the .xml file is the same as the last record set. How do I get LCD to create a unique data name each time the form is saved? I know that the user can enter a new name, but I do not want them to have to think that much.
    Alternatively, is there a way that a user can enter several forms of data and save all of the data in one XML file that my PDF can scroll through or that I can import into excel and keep all of the data sets separate?

    Thanks Paul for the post. It sounds like this program is simply not designed for one user to keypunch a batch of forms. It would appear to limit the program's use to users who only need to key in one record/form. While a good solution for multiple users who need to enter just one set of data, the limitation would explain why this program is not widely used.

  • How to run a jar file which needs another jar to be in the class path

    Hi,
    I need to execute a jar, which needs another jar to be in the classpath.
    If I run like
    java -classpath <jar1 name> -jar <main jar>
    It is giving classnotfoundexception, where as the class is available in the <jar1 name>.
    so, currently I am doing like this
    In the manifest file i have given like
    Main-Class: <class name>
    Class-Path: <jar name> <jar name2>
    then it is running fine. But, if I want to change the jar location again I need to changed the manifest file.
    Is there any way to do this? Pls help me.

    How about
    java -cp jar1.jar;jar2.jar com.acme.MainClass
    You won't need to worry about the manifest file after that and you can make a bat files (or .sh file in *nix) for it.
