How to create a link for download a file in text format

Hi expect,
I want to create a link when I link that link a text file should get download which i'm specified in jsp page. I tried by using hyper link it didn't get downloaded just it opened as it is. How can I resolve the problem.

Replace the link "Create Bookmark Link" for "Download"

When I execute a report from interactive columns in principal report ( published in the dashboard), I don't download for default, because this link not exist. Is it possible to replace the link “Create Bookmark Link” for “Download” (excel)?, Can I add additional link "Download" or "Export" to Excel?

I don't understand what you want. Do you want a link that will download a Dashboard to Excel? Why do you want to replace the "Create Bookmark..." link? What's that got to do with your requirement?

How to create a link to download a .psd or .eps file

I'm attempting to create a link to a .psd file for a user to download. Whenever I link to the .psd file, Dreamweaver wants to convert it to a JPEG. Is there a way to link to a .psd file to have the user download that file? I'm trying to have files that retain the original Photoshop elements (layers, channels, etc.) used to create the file. I will want to do the same with .eps files, but haven't attempted that yet. Any thoughts?

In Adore Acrobat XI, how to create a password for the file? The help states going to Tools Menu and clicking on Protection tab - but there is no such option. In the file - properties - security screen, it shows the security details but does not allow to edit it.

I think you may be mixing up two different products: Adobe Reader (free), and Acrobat ($$).

How can I create a link to download a file in Captivate?

So, in my Captivate file, I want people to be able to download an XML file to their machine. If I create a hyperlink to "open a file", then when a user clicks on it, captivate attempts to open the xml file in a browser window instead of downloading it. I can't figure out how to use the download attribute for an href in captivate and I'm not sure if javascript to do this would execute properfly. Anybody know the best way to accomplish a force download of a file from a captivate presentation (Captivate 6)?

If you want to really do this so that it is consistent for all browsers, you'll need to implement this at the server level. I did this with the Dynamic PDF Export Widget. Typically, a PDF will be displayed in the browser, but I added the ability to download it instead. It does require a PHP file (or some other server side script). In the PHP file, you'll want to set the response header for Content-Disposition to "attachment"... that's the key.
The elbow grease part has to do with managing how the browser handles the link. You'll want the Captivate hyperlink to open a new window so that the student does not navigate away from your course in the current window. But since you are opening a PHP file, you can inject javascript into the document of the new window/tab to close itself. The download will still continue eventhough the window/tab was programmatically closed. However, most modern browsers will automatically close the window/tab for you when downloading a file. If you want to see an example of a PHP file that implements this, go ahead and download the trial version of the Dynamic PDF Export widget. You'll see the create.php file in the zip package.

If you want to go simple as TLC Media Design suggested, just zip it and let your students unzip the xml file, or just rename the xml file with a .zip extension and tell them to rename the file back to .xml after downloading.

I need to create an object link in cvo1n for a non standard SAP object (inspection characteristics) . we have two ways to do this
1. Create a screen for the rquirement by taking the standard screens as reference.
2. Implement badi document_obj.
I need a step by step process to perform both the steps. Sample codes will be helpful.
One more thing is that i need a link in the standard screens of inspection characteristics also. How to get a two way link both in cv01n and in the standard inspection char screen.

Customizing for the Do cument Management , you must maintain the key fields for the SAP objects that you want to link to document info records, by choosing Control Data ® Maintain key fields.
Process
Program two screens for the following module pools for the SAP object that is to be linked additionally:
u2013 SAPLCV00
u2013 SAPLCVIN
The process logic must be according to that of screen 0204 in program SAPLCV00 and must not be changed.
Create the function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = name of the SAP object).
If this object can be classified, this function module already exists in the standard system. Otherwise, copy the existing function module OBJECT_CHECK_EQUI (linking of equipment) and change it to suit the new object.
also you can attach the document to PRT also. but it will not show you in dms. This type of attachment is only from otherside.

Index - How to create an index for multiple InDesign files?

Hi everyone,
I'm using InDesign CS2 to create a 250 page catalogue. Most of it is finished now, and I've come to creating the index.
The catalogue is spread over about 10 InDesign files. How do I create an index for this? No paragraph styles were set up when it was started, but there are character styles.
I've done some searching - does it need to be booked so I Can index? And can I book it without paragraph styles?
(I've only been using InDesign for about a year, mostly self taught.)

Creating a book from your files should be no problem at all. ID does
i not
synchronize styles across documents -- unless you order it to! (That's what the checkboxes at the left of the book documents are for. Do Not Use, in your case.)
The Index function itself is book-savvy, but you might want to search this forum for a few recurring problems.

You can download your file to application server in background scheduling.
In your program use OPEN DATASET command for achieving this.
How ever, as far as i know, it is not possible to download the file to presentation server in background job.

I created a class you might want to look at. I come from a world of C and love fgets() and other FILE stream functions. I created a class that uses the Java I/O buts to the calling application behaves like fgets and such. The block of code where I do the calling in the calling program even looks like C. In my class I capture almost all errors and set error buffers to the errors. The calling program looks at the return to see if it succedded or errored.

there are a few ways... zav can create an msi installer for you that will setup associations and copy the virt exe to any location you want (just like any other msi application installer, just with one file:). I prefer this method, but there is also another exe tool that will register those file associations, they recently changed the name but its well documented. I suggested downloading the pdf from novell, its pretty short and informative.

However this does not work as the brother considers the file as a html text and does not open it with MS word.

It doesn't think it's html, unless the server tells the browser the content type is text/html, and I highly doubt that, unless you are not linking to the file directly, but linking to a JSP page or servlet which is actually returning the file. In which case, set the content type for the response to the proper type for the file.
