How to create a signature

When i set up a signature in email preferences, when i go to send the email the signature window always says "none"

If you make a signature while you have All Signatures selected, the signature is not assigned to an account. Drag the signature from the All Signatures list onto an account in the list to make it available with that account.

My Settings won't stick; I don't know how to create a signature
How can I correct these two difficulties please?

Sorry, not clear. I meant "My Settings" (top right hand corner of FCE Discussions window), not in FCE itself. The time zone setting is accepted but the next time I look it has reverted to USA GMT-8 hours, and some other settings are similarly affected
and by "signature" I meant some text that always appears at the bottom of Discussions messages, saying somethink like "Mac Pro 2.0 GHz, FCE 3.5" etc. I can't see a place to specify that.
(But now I see something has appeared!)
    Thanks.

  • How to Create a Signature Stamp-Presized

I have been able to create a stamp in Paint, then saved it as a PDF. The initial image was 3.2x1.9 inches. But when I saved it as a PDF, it did not retain it's original size, it blows up to a massive scale. Not sure why, but it feels like there should be a setting to maintain size, almost like scaling, when converting to PDF. Anyways, My work around was to extend the image borders to 8.5x11 inches, and this worked for this item.
Now I want to do the same with my signature, but no matter how I do it or what I change, the image is either its natural  small size paint file and when saved as PDF it gets massive or I adjust the sheet, like I did with the other image, and then I end up with the massive block like feature with a tiny signature on it.
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
I am on Windows 7 pro
    Adobe XI 11.0.1
No other image editing options unless done inside Microsoft office apps, besides paint.
Purchasing additional software is not an option.

CtDave, thanks for the excellent  write up of instructions. I had to look up a few of those commands as I have never actually used them. But it was easy enough to follow. I followed each step precisely and I was in fact able to create a proper sized signature file. Although, I ran into one issue.  The rotation of the signature is 90 degrees relative to how it shoudl be. I have tried rotating the signature in normal and also 90 degrees relative. I have also tried changing the page orientation from portrait to landscape. No matter how I change it, it comes in rotated going vertical. But on the upside, eveything else worked flawlessly. Any chance you have a fix for the rotation issue?
    Thanks again for the help.

  • I Cannot Figure Out How To Create A Signature Spot! Help Please!

    Hi,
I'm not very good at all this stuff.  Long story short I have a contract drawn up that I need to use for doing business with my customers.  At the bottom I want to leave a box where they simply click when they're reading the PDF, and it allows them to draw in a signature.
I first encountered this kind of thing on a W2 form, and it was so easy it worked without even pulling me off the browser.
I have Acrobat Pro 10.1.1, but I simply cannot figure out how to do this.
If anyone has the time, step-by-step instructions that a 6-year-old could follow is probably necessary with this.
It would be so much appreciated.
    Thank you.
    -Robert

It's possible that the W2 you used was set up with the EchoSign service. It allows you to draw a signature with a mouse. This is available as well with more recent versions of Reader (10.1+) if the form isn't Reader-enabled or secured. You will see this in the Sign panel when the document is opened in Reader.
You can otherwise get an EchoSign account and upload your document and send it to your customers through the EchoSign service. You can establish a free account to see how it works.

  • How to create SHA2 signature in Outlook 2013?

My company has upgraded all Office software recently, from Office 2007 to Office 2013.
In Outlook 2007, I can create email with SHA2 signature. However, I can't find the same configuration in Outlook 2013.
Does anyone have the same problem?

My support contact couldn't find any support cases or bug reports - he found this article
http://blogs.technet.com/b/pki/archive/2010/09/30/sha2-and-windows.aspx but it wouldn't apply here, since Outlook 2013 doesn't run on the older OS's and the newer OSs support SHA2. I recommend opening a support case - if this is a recently purchased copy
of Office, you may be within the window for free support calls.

  • How to create table and digital signature ?

    Hello,
I would like to ask two questions regarding SAP interactive forms by adobe.
    1st question:
How to create table in interactive form?
Table that i can add rows and column and will show it in the form.
Example the rows and columns that i want:
    <u><b>ID:</b></u>                <b><u>Name:  </u>  </b>               <u><b>DOB:</b></u>
    1                  Jack                      01/02/80
    2                  Ivy                         10/12/82
    2nd question:
How to create digital signature ?
I'm creating a adobe forms which need employee to sign on the form. I use signature field at my form. However, i don't know how to create a new signature and insert in the signature field.
Can any one provide the answer with step by step guide?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi Pradeepa,
you said you have your digital signature in
BMP format? That means Bitmap and would mean you are actually talking about a picture! THIS IS NOT A DIGITAL SIGNATURE!
A digital signature is a cryptographic key (aka public key cryptography) that is used to digitally sign a document, or at least a hash value derived from the document. Digitally signing means, applying the key in a well defined way (this is the algorithm used) to the document or hash value. You do this with your private key and the receiver of the document can then use your public key (which you can distribute in any way you want, even unsecure) to unencrypt the hash value. If this succeeds the receiver knows that the document was signed by you.
This is because both keys are mathematically related in such a way, that what one key encrypted can only be decrypted by the corresponding other key and by no other key. You even can´t decrypt a document with the same key it was encrypted with, this is the difference to symmetric encryption - please have a look at help.sap.com and search for digital signatures.
The named formats (afs, pfx and p12) are ways of coding the key, together with information about your person, such as email address and information about validity of the key into a
certificate. This type of certificate is then called a x.509 certificate and is the same you might have seen when connecting to a secure webserver such as the one of your bank website.
Signing a form with such a certificate provides for mathematically and therefore business related proove of a users identity.
In case you are really using a bitmap, this cannot work and would not serve you any good.
Ask yourself this question: I want to make sure that the form was signed by a specific person. How can I make sure that the signing can only be done by the person pretending to have done so?
A bitmap contains a picture, probably of the persons handwritten signature. How can I make sure that this picture was NOT recreated in MS Paint or Photoshop by someone else?
    The answer is:
you can't! Therefore this way of prooving identity is useless.
You need to provide your users with digital signatures, put these in the certificate cache of your IE.  If a user then clicks on the signing field, the private key is used to digitally sign the form - create a hash value of the form and encrypt it with the private key. After the form is send back to the server or you, you use the corresponding public key to decrypt the hash value and, as said above, if this succeeds, identity of the signer is proven.
THIS IS AN OVERSIMPLIFICATION! You might want to take a look at Adobe Reader Credentials.
    Regards,
       Christian

    Guys,
I'm having a problem with OSX 10.7... While the image (as my Mail signature) hosted on a server in my OSX 10.6 worked perfectly as a Webarchive in Mail, the same procedure in OSX 10.7 simply doesn't wotk anymore...
Do you know what the new procedure should be, as opposed to OSX 10.6?
I learned how to create this signature hosted as an HTML on a remote server with this guy:
    http://www.businesscasualblog.com/2010/03/how-to-create-a-custom-email-signature -in-mac-mail.html
As I mentioned, it works perfectly in my OSX 10.6, but in a newer machine, all  that I got was an image not found (the question mark ? instead of the actual picture) in Mail.
    Could anyone please help?
    Thanks,
