How to create a single executable file in oracle 10g

hi all
i am a fairly new user to oracle. i would like to know if there is any way that i can compile both the database and forms that i have created, using the oracle 10g developer suite, into a single executable file and be able to install it on another system without installing the development environment?
can anyone please help

The forum software was upgraded a few months back and many links to older content were lost.
There are possibly a few different things you need to do. First, click Project > Skin > Borders tab and DE-select the "Show Borders" check box. That will eliminate the _skin.SWF from the mix. If you have full motion clips you may need to take other steps.
Also note that while turning off the borders eliminates the _skin.SWF, it also has the side effect of coaxing the the playback controls up onto the main part of the presentation. If you don't like this, you need to resize the movie to make room for the playback controls to be placed into its own area.

    Using triggers like this will record who made an update or delete to the database and record the row before it was changed.
    Note that this method might not be suitable for very high transaction rates.
    You will need to 'clear' these history tables as part of routine maintenance.

    Our env is Oracle 10g R2 RAC on HP-UX. I want to create a new ASM Diskgroup. Please let me know if the following steps are ok to create a new ASM Diskgroup.
    1. Ensure the new Disk is visible in both ASM instances in RAC (v$asm_disk) and the header_status is 'CANDIDATE'
    2. From Node 1 ASM Instance issue the create diskgroup command.
    SQL> create diskgroup DATA2 external redundancy disk '/dev/rdsk/c4t0d5';
    3. Query v$asm_diskgroup and make sure the Diskgroup is created.
    4. Mount the DATA2 Diskgroup from Node 2 ASM Instance.
    5. Query v$asm_diskgroup and make sure the Diskgroup is visible from Node2 ASM instance.
    6. Ensure the header_status is 'MEMBER'.

    instead of using device file '/dev/rdsk/c4t0d5' you can create an alternate device file using mknod, which is called "asm_disk_xg" for example.

    You can go to Build >> Target Settings menu item, select Release (or Release 64) in the Configuration filed and set the name of the executable to create in Application FIle field, withouyt need to change the prj or cws filename.

  • Compiler to make a single executable file

    Hi,
    I know this sort of thing has been asked before but bear with me please.
    I am working on a program with numerous jars, dlls and config files and of course the JRE. What we have been doing up until now for deployment is using Excelsior JET.
    This puts all your jars and the JRE into a single executable file and obfuscates your code. Thats good but we now need to put the dlls and everything else inside the excutable and JET doesnt seem to do this.
    So what I want is one single executable file into which everything has been compiled (and you dont need a JRE installed on your machine). Feel free to laugh now but there is a genuine good reason why we need this.
    Does anyone know of a product which can do this? I doubt it myself because I have already had a look but maybe someone of you might know.

    The reason I want this is genuine.
    This is a medical application which has to conform to a particular standard enforced by an external body. The part of the standard concerned here is in my opinion particularly bizzare and totally restrictive:
    When an application (of the type we are writing) is burned onto a CD, all file names on that CD must be in capital letters with a max of 8 characters for each file name and 3 charaters for the extension.
    So for this reason we cant have the JRE on there (look at all the filenames in there) and we can't use our dlls (most of the names are too long and not in capitals).
    So what we want is to have just one executable which we name how we like
    I know its weird but there you go.

    Use Analysis Process Designer (RSANWB) to feed each of the survey BEX reports to one DSO.  Assuming each of the surveys has something in common to compare.  Could also be used as a snapshot storage for the surveys in case history needs to be compared/archived. 
    Build the Direct update DSO with the survey objects.  Add needed time characteristics and/or version control objects to the key. 
    Data sources  will be the 5 surveys. 
    Add formula to hardcode version/time for history.
    Data target is the direct update DSO.

    2nd validation
    :P1_ITEM10 IS NOT NULL

    Well my acquisition code runs perfect. The problem is reading it. I can't seem to read my data no matter what I do. My data gets saved as a string using the array to string vi but I've read that the string to array vi (which I need to convert back to array to read my data) does not work on the pda. I'm using version 8.0. So I was trying to modify the program posted in this discussion so that it would save data from my DAQ. I did that but I still can't read the data after its saved. I really don't know what else to do. All I need to do is read the data on the pda itself. I can't understand why I'm having such a hard time doing that. I found a possible solution on another discussion that talks about parsing the strings because of the bug in the "string to array" vi. However, that lead me to another problem because for some reason, the array indicators or graphs don't function on the pda. When i build the program to the pda or emulator, the array indicators are faded out on the front panel as if the function is not valid. Does this kind of help give a better picture of what I'm trying to do. Simply read data back. Thanks.
