i went through all the properties for column but none that would help me achive me goal.
SO in my case .. the no of rows are fixed .. but columns vary .. so i wnat the alternate columns to be of different color (say white and silver)

When I add this dataset, Reporting Services creates a parameter named CreateDateYear. When I pass a value like "2014" to this parameter I get nothing and I have to pass a value like
[Create Date].[Year].&[2014].
How can I change my report to change this parameter for passing the value like "2014" instead of ugly and not user-friendly string

1. Create a dataset with MDX as below which would return the member caption (2005,2006 etc) and member uniquename ([Date].[Calendar Year].&[2005],[Date].[Calendar
Year].&[2006] etc)

2. In the parameter's available values choose the above data set and set the options as
Value Field = ParameterValue
ValueCaption = ParameterCaption
In this way use will see only the years and based on the selection the respective values will be passed to the dataset as parameter.

i work on apex 4 and database 11GR2, i configure bipublisher for advanced printing.
On a sql report i want to have an excel Button and a Pdf button with redirect URL.
I don't know how to specify in the URL the format output.
I see in the help
"use the output format derived from item option and include the item name and value in your Print URL."
but i look for an example of URL.

So, you have to specify a hidden item which contains the value, then specify in print attributes the item name (mine is P5000_TYPE)
Then you would have button redirect URLs of:
javascript:redirect('f?p=&APP_ID.:&APP_PAGE_ID.:&SESSION.:FLOW_XMLP_OUTPUT_R1483125430108678:::P5000_TYPE:PDF') ;and

When you create a request with only dimension columns, the Oracle BI engine has to choose a fact table to join the dimensions to each other. If you have multiple fact tables in your BMM layer, the Oracle BI engine will use the most economical fact table, depending on the number of dimensions of the fact table.
In some cases you do not want to use this fact table, but you want to force the Oracle BI engine to use the fact table you want.
In that case you should create a fact (or select an existing fact) of the fact table you want to use for the dimension only query. In the presentation catalog of the subject area you should select this fact as the implicit fact. This fact will always be used in the query, but it won't be visible in your report. An example of an implicit fact is the count of the primary key (id) of the fact table.

In OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0,how to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by agent?
For example:
In SampleLite RPD, when we drag "Time Hierarchy" and Sales column into the report , and sent it by agent ,it will only display "Total" sales, not show all level value,such as Year,Month,Day.So how to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by agent?
If we expand all levels and save them, it will be ok, however, when we add new data, it will be collpased automatically and not show the lowest level data, requiring Users or Developer to modify this report for expanding the hierarchy. We think it is very trouble, is there any good suggestion or method for achieving our requirement?

But its possible to create more than 21 using ALV concept.

How to Convert MM/DD/YYYY to YYYY/MM/DD in SQL Reporting Services

i am having difficulty of converting a parameter field, called @startdate, on sql reporting services report to YYYY/MM/DD format. the parameter @Startdate was set to Data/Time. @Startdate is 6/1/2014 12:00:00 and I want to convert it
to 2014/06/01. I want to compare @Startdate with a column in database called Begindate which is in format of YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss. I tried the followings
select * from Atable where cast(Atable.Begindate as date) >= cast(@Startdate as date)
select * from Atable where cast(Atable.Begindate as date >= cast(convert(datetime, @Startdate) as date)
SQL Reporting Services only gives me Text, Boolean, Date/Time, Integer and Float.

Sorry for the delay. I tested with the sample data you provided, however everything works well in-house. Could you please creste a new report and check the result. Here are the steps I performed:
1. Create a table and insert the following data:
Name (varchar(50))    Begindate (datetime, not null)
Lastdate (datetime, not null)

2008-01-01 08:08:08.000      2010-10-10
10:10:10.000

2010-10-10 10:10:10.00       2011-11-11
  11:11:11.000

2. Open SQL Server Data Tools, create the data source and add the dataset with the below query:
SELECT     Name, Begindate, Lastdate
FROM         [tablename ]
WHERE     (CAST(Begindate AS date) >= CAST(@Startdate AS date)) AND (CAST(Lastdate AS date) <= CAST(@Enddate AS date))
3. Then, click execute button, it prompts for inputting the parameter value.
@Startdate
6/1/2008
@Enddate
5/1/2014
Enter the date and press OK.
4. Here is the result in the query designer:

Do not open cluster administrator since SSRS cannot take advantage of Windows Clustering Services.
You need see if the Network Load Balancing manager (NLB) (windows feature) is installed on the SSRS computer and open
it to see if a NLB cluster has been configured.

How to create a calculated column in sharepoint

I created the custom list in share point. In that list i renamed the title as
Name.
I created the WindowsID as person or group column in share point list.
In the same list, I want to create a new calculated column as EmpName as hyperlink with the below formula

But I am unable to create a new column by using above formula.
Could you please let me know what i missed in the above formula.
