I need to create a command that can copy files from one location to another for a unix machine.
I have the commands for the unix machine, but need to create a Z customer command so it can be executed in a process chain in SAP

You can use ABAP program in the process chain.
I guess there are some OS level commands in ABAP which will allow you to open, close, read , write and move files.
Serach in ABAP help or on net.

Have a look at the menu file/process multiple files. You can choose to add your signature (or the caption) to the image and export the new files.
If that solution is not flexible enough, consider using the very affordable (12$) Elements+ add-on which offers a 'meta stamp' script :

Hello All,
Does anyone know all commands that can be entered in the 'Command Field'.
I am interested in the commands that start with &. For example &sapedit, &vexcel, &vgrid; etc. (OR commands such as PRFB; etc.)
Just curious, where all these commands are stored?

Hi Nablan,
I tried your suggestion. I noticed that it lists some commands but not all.
Foe example, if I am in CMOD tcode; I clicked on GUI Status but nowhere I saw Command 'PRFB'.
According to a post in SDN, in CMOD tcode; by entering PRFB in the command field a list of all field exits are displayed.
Similary, in SE16n; there are field commands like &sapedit, &vexcel and &vgrid...
Please shed light on this,

Are you sure you're not using radio buttons? Check boxes behave the way you'd expect for me with a form generated by FormsCentral.
I'm going to move this to the FormsCentral form since the team there may want to take a look at the form.

Right click on DTP - If 'process chain' option is enabled for navigation it means it's already used by Process chain - click on it will take you to PC
If it's disabled then It's not locked in any PC

How to create a Dynamic UI that can work as a Graphic builder

I have a requirement here
There should be a Graphic Builder ...........like the way we see our Flex Builder
But this should be a web application with the following functionality
Lot of widgets on your left panel like say meter , cricle, chart, line graph etc. All this would be a different flex widgets(say compiled swf file loaded separately in the main application
On the right Panel there would be dash board where they can drag and drop this above widgets and create a separate page like dragging a chart. user would be given option to configure the points for chart ....................and the data for the live chart would be feed from the backend
Now I am little confused to how to go about ?
Creation of separate widgets is ok ?
Creation of applcation with this widgets is ok
Giving an option to drag and drop , configure is ok ?
But the main thing is that If we have to save the pages created by different user ? What is the best way to do that ? Do we use xml to save the customized widget pages including the UI layout information like widget Graph at coordinate x= 120 and y=56 etc etc then parse these xml to get the Layout back and putting the widget back to their location as the way the user created those pages

How do I create a text field that can be manipulated by the user?

I have created a form that will be changed by the user from month to month. In this form they may have the need to make some of the font bold.
The text fields that will end up being bold will not be the same every time so I can't format the field to be bold.
Is there any way to allow the user to be able to choose whether a text field is bold or not?

Thanks GKaiseril. When I do that and go to preview the form I see where the properties are listed as an option, but they are in light gray so I can't select them. Any idea why this is happening?

Using iTunes to create an MP3 CD that can be used on a DVD player

I recently attempted to create what I believed to be an MP3 CD from iTunes that my DVD player would be able to play. My DVD player was unable to read the CD (No Disc message). Come to find out that it creates the CD in a Mac format instead of an ISO 9660 format. Has anyone been able to create an MP3 CD from iTunes that a DVD player will load? If so what settings did you use?

The problem is solved. My new Sony DVD Player seems to handle whatever format my MP3 CD is created in even though the manual says nothing about a mac formatted CD. So I can now use iTunes or Toast to create MP3 CDs. My old JVC CD player is about 5 years old and even though the manual says it will read MP3 CDs and VCD CDs it never worked well on anything I created on a Mac

    I want to pup up a dialog screen to let user to input some parameter to filter the current data. Currently, I created a subscreen and when I use button to call this screen, error message araised: the error message as bellow:
    "The attribute screen type with the values 'Normal Screen' and 'Subscreen' determines the use of the screen. If a normal screen is used as subscreen or vice versa, an error occurs.The screen "XXXX" 0051 has, in this respect, an inappropriate screen type. "
    Hence may I know the correct step to create this kind of subscreen?

    If you access into transaction SM30 and using some table view to display, then you will see at the bottom there is a button which name is Position. After you click this button, a dialog box will display.
   This is what I am looking for.
   Currently, I have created a subscreen and when I click some button to leave to this subscreen, the system raise the error message.
   In addition, could you give me the link to your material you have mentioned because I am not familiar the directory fo find it.

Please note that there are some differences to the formula node. Therefore, the help on the formula node lists some functions, that do not work with the Parser VIs.

You can just JNI to communicate either from java to C++ or from C++ to java. That is direct communication in that there is a single process involved. Thus you will no longer have a java application and a C++ application but rather a single application.I don't know JNI, i found http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jni/ and I think is too difficult to implement?
You can use files or sockets to communicate. Using sockets allows for any number of additional protocols including the previously mentioned web services. Those methodologies would allow more than one application to exist.I developed yesterday a java-side-interface using socket (in local host 127.0.0.1). So the c++ program must write or read to/from the socket to comunicate to java (then the java program send data on the web).
Finally it might be the case that you have a C++ application which you cannot modify. In that case then you MUST use whatever input/output mechanism that it supports. There is no choice. And until you have fully determined what those mechanisms are it is pointless to discuss a solution.I can modify the application, but I don't have developed it. The c++ application use a third-part dll (taken from SKYPE) to comunicate on the web: I have to remove the dipendence from this dll, and add the java program: java program must substitute the dll. Can you create a fillable form that can be saved by the client?

I created a very lengthy business planing guide in this program and sent it out for testing - only to find out that if the user only has basic adobe (not any pro programs) they can't save the document - they have to complete it and print it or else loose all their work. Is there a setting somewhere that I missed that will allow the document to be saved? Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

If using Acrobat, it depends on which version you're using:
Acrobat 9: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
Acrobat 10: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
