How to create and run J2EE application client for Hello World EJB

I am new to NWDS EJB deployment.I have created a "Hello World" bean. But how to deploy it and run using a J2EE application client step by step.
Also please help in the steps of the deploy tool.

XCB - how to launch and show an application (terminal for example)?

Hello, everyone!
I'm trying to learn XCB, but all of the tutorials I've found so far do not explain how can XCB used as a window manager.
I understand how to draw a single window and add a string to it, but how can I launch something from it and show it to the user?

XCB is an implementation of the client side of the X protocol. In other words, it's a library for writing X applications and window managers; it's not a window manager itself.
If you're interested in learning about how window managers launch applications, you probably want to read up on fork() and execve(). This is essentially how all processes are created on a Linux system (from init, a shell, window manager, etc.).
Also, if you're interested in learning how window managers work, a good place to start might be tinywm. It's a single C file intended to be the bare minimum to be a window manager. It uses Xlib though, not XCB, but at this point your goal should be to understand the concepts. Somebody out there may have created an XCB version by now, anyway...

Cookbook on how to create and attach networks to OVM for SPARC using OPS Center

I have a smallish installation of a number of SPARC T5-4s, T5-2s and T4-2s provisioned with OVM for SPARC and managed by OPS Center 12c2.
The OPS Center node is only connected to the ILOM/mgmt network, whereas the individual SPARC systems are connected to several other networks, some of which are VLAN tagged.
I am somewhat confused by the actions necessary to create these additional networks; I read the "how to"s however, I am still at a loss as to how to start. When I try to create a fabric, it wants a network. When I try to create a network, it wants a fabric.
Does anyone have a simple guide on how to add an additional network that I can then attach to my server pool?

The user credentials are injected into the OWSM enforcement context when proxies are configured.
I am new with this OWSM, can anyone please give me some hints like how to proceed further for implementing authentication using OWSM lite mobile ADF Application Agent??

The demo is very useful, and in that Shay describes about the remote login using a regular ADF webapplication as a secured one and deploying it into the server. But I would like to know how to create a local login using OWSM client agent? .
Without creating a regular ADF webapplication, how can i call secured webservices(i.e., by using OWSM client agent how to create and configure proxies to call secured webservice, where the user credentials are injected into webservice request by OWSM client as mentioned in ADF mobile document)??

Steps to create an Endeca Application are clearly given in Getting Started Guide.

If you want to create an endeca application so as to integrate with Product Catalog system such as ATG using ATG 10.1.1 or above , then create an endeca application using the discover-data-catalog-integration reference application. Steps for doing this are documented in ProductCatalogDTGuide

To delete an Endeca Application that you have created in Windows/linux
1. Navigate to the control directory of the application that you want to remove and execute the script
runCommand.bat --remove-app (Removes the provisioning information with EAC admin console)
2. Remove the instance configuration files for the application using the emgr_update command line utility
emgr_update.bat host localhost:8006 app_name My_app action remove_all_settings prefix My_prefix
3. You can then explicitly delete the directory in the Endeca_apps directory where you have initially created your application.
If you are using discover-data-catalog-integration, you can remove the CAS Record Store Instances by navigating to CAS/bin directory and executing
./component-manager-cmd.sh delete-component -n {YOUR_APP_RECORD_STORE_NAME}

How to create and share streaming video?

I have finally finished a project in PE8 and I'd like to upload it to my website so that others can stream it.
I have created output in FLV, MOV and MPG formats.
I have uploaded them to my web server.
However, whenever I link to the video, my browser (IE or Firefox) just asks to download or run it.
Then, it tries to download the entire video - this is a problem as the files are up to 1.3gb.
I've tried this:

You need to embed a player for the file. This will differ by the file type that you choose. I'd probably go with a Flash player, but you have other choices.
I'd post your request for the exact instructions, and HTML code needed, plus tips on optimization to the Muvipix "Community," probably under the "Water Cooler" sub-forum. The Webmaster there, Ron, is an expert in embedded players, as are several other subscribers. I'll bet that you'll get the exact code, with all sorts of useful tweaks, in no time. If Ron suggests another file type and player, listen to him, and not to me. I just deliver the streaming AV files in the exact format that my client asks for. They have their Webmaster use them in their particular page design. My job ends, before your's, now, begins.

J2EE Application Client

I used Sun Java Studio Enterprise to create a stateful session bean (Cart as in the J2ee Tutorial) and deployed it to Sun Application Server (v7). Then in the same application, I creaed a New EJB Test Application (web based test application) called Cart_TestApp by highlighting the Cart (EJB) node and clicking "Create New EJB Test Application" . Everything is perfect and I could use this Cart_TestApp (once again it is web based test app) to test each function defined in the CartHome, Cart. After that, I created another application client to test this Cart bean. The way I did is that I created another J2EE Application Client called CartTestClient by using Templates-->J2EE--->Application Client. Then in the property sheet of this Application Client, I specified two properties:
1. Application Server----- Server1 (localhost:8080)
2. EJB Reference----
2.1 Reference Name---- ejb/Cart
2.2 Reference EJB Name----Cart
2.3 Type---Session
2.4 Home Interface ----CartHome
2.5 Remote Interface ---Cart
After that, I built this Application Client and executed the Application Client, but Studio prompts the following error message:
You must either set a target application, or provide a client stub jar path in the Sun Java System AS tab on the client property sheet!
In this case, I clicked ellipse for the "Target Application" on the property sheet, which finally only allows me to specify "Cart_TestApp" , note not Cart(EJB), as the Target Application. And I did it. Finally it works just fine for the Application Test.
Now my questions are:
1. How to get the EJB client stub jar in the studio for this Cart (EJB)?
2. Why does the Application Client work just fine after I specified the "Target Application" item in the property sheet as "Cart_TestApp" since "Cart_TestApp" is only a web based test application for the Cart (EJB)? It seems to me that the EJB Application Client has nothing to do with "Cart_TestApp" since both of them are just test clients (one is web based, another standalone java client). Any insights??

I have figured it out now and actually Cart_TestApp is just an enterprise application generated by Studio with Cart(EJB) inside. Got confused it with SJSAS v8.

In EJB 3.0 No need of any Deployment Descriptors....
And If you are using Eclipse You can Deploy(as jar) using Export in File tab...
XDoclet is not mandatory...
