How to create .exe files in CRX/Compiled Report

Hello
I am running CRX and we use Control M to schedule reports. According to the company's website, you can create a .EXE and run it on the Windows Command prompt.
The problem is (as you will see below), there's no REPORT, COMPILED REPORT functionality in CRX. Evidently, this has changed.
To create a Compile Report within Crystal, go into Crystal Reports and open a report, from the menu select REPORT | COMPILED REPORT. The Compile Report dialog box will be displayed. You have the option to rename the report name. By default, Crystal Reports uses the report name and changes the file extension from .RPT to .EXE.
Can anyone assist with this?

This must be the qustions asked several time on the forums.So here it is again.
This sounds absurd to some developers here cause you'll say just create jar file and distributre to usr but sometimes there is not possiblity of having runtime environment in windows computers.So if we can bundle the enviroment and the setup together then packing into exe and then distribute like most of commercial java application sounds better.But the problem is how to do that?
Ok creating exe will increase the size but that doesn't matter,if there is any freeware tool to accomplish just that?

In one of my project, I need to create an exe file that can call swing application. I know this can be done is C++. ANy idea or suggestion to achieve this using java.

It is a normal text file u can use notepad to create it and save with mft extention

I'm new to Java and I just wonder if it is possible to make executable files out of Java class files. I've checked the Java online help and several search engines, but I still couldn't find anything about that. Is it possible to do so? If not, why not?

I don't remember if there is a program that converts the class file,
but I do know that there are a few that either convert the class file,
or the .java file. You might try searching for ".java to .exe" in the
search engine and seeing what that pulls up.

There's a preconfigured version of Tomcat, that you simply unzip on the drive (so there's no nned of running installator).
If OP would use some MySQL server's clone, that needs no installation (some time ago i was looking for thing like thatand found couple of those).
All configuration (installing services etc.) as well as copying JSPs and other stuff to Tomcat dirs can be made with script files (.bat or whatever) or under another java application that will run all the commands...

Is there any method by which I can create an exe file for distribution of my application. The current method for distribution is to make a jar file and then to run it using java -jar option. But it is a bit difficult for a novice user. If someone can help me out and tell me a method for creating exe file for my project.

I found Jet pretty much unusable for larger applications
The compiler it uses is buggy, and doesn't manage memory well at all, leading to frequent unrecoverable crashes. and it's SLOW
Far easier to download a java launcher application, there are several available, or fork out for InstallShield for Java for example.

Forms6i uses Oracle 8.0.6 client libraries. MetaLink Note 207303.1 lists supported client/server configurations, and the last database version supported with those libraries is Oracle 9.2. The only exception is made for e-Business Suite (Oracle Applications). Therefore, you configuration is not supported.
Anyway, Oracle 8.0.6 does not support AL32UTF8 well. You should select UTF8 as the database character set (not national character set!). You need to select a check box on DBCA interface (possibly unavailable in fast/default installation path) which allows you to see non-recommended character sets.

It sounds like you might have accidentally selected to create a source distribution instead of an application. That's different from an application. A source distribution basically makes a copy of your VIs into another location so that others can use them for VIs they create. When you expand the Build Specifications tree the icons indicate what kind of build you're creating. An applicaiton has an icon that looks like a tiny window with a title bar. A source distribution has an icon that looks like a folder with the Add function in the upper right:

Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro

and re-authorize your new macBook Pro
time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff.

Hey Guys, I'm new around here and with mac technology as well. Anyway, I have an iMac OS X 10.5.1 Leopard and I've recently purchased the Virtual PC for Mac 7.0.2 software. So I'd like to know how to use this program properly, because I need to run some executable files in my computer. It is confusing for me because I don't know how to get started, and I only get to the part when it says "OS not found, Install an OS on this hard drive".
Honestly I've no idea of what an OS is or where do I get that. So I'd really appreciate if one of you guys could tell me, step by step, what to do to use Virtual PC properly, and finally learn how to run .exe files on mac.

This brings up the second part of your problem. The first part is setting up either a proper Virtual Machine program like Parallels or VMfusion, or setting up a Boot Camp partition on your drive.

OS stands for Operating System. You are running Leopard 10.5.7 as an operating system on your Mac (MacOS X).
The second part of your problem - You will need a copy of Windows XP or Vista if you want to run Windows on your Mac.
There is at least one other solution for running Windows programs on a Mac. It's called "CrossOver" by a company named 'Codeweavers'. It's based on a project for "Wine" to be able to run PC programs on a Mac or Linux, without having to buy or install Windows. It works with a narrow subset of Windows programs so you would want to make sure the program you want to run is compatible with CrossOver before you buy it.

In addition to all the above information, you need to upgrade your Mac to the latest 10.5.7 from 10.5.1. "Software Update" is located under the black Apple icon in the Menu Bar at the top left corner of your monitor. After you are updated you will want to update your Profile here so that it shows the proper OS version.
With your level of experience with MacOS X and the Windows OS's you should probably get some help from a local Apple store. They have an appointment system and do offer many types of help and training, and they can offer assistance with choosing the proper programs for you to purchase for your machine.

I'm making a webservice that has to generate a XML file, sign it using another webservice and return this XML. The problem is that i don't know how to create the file in the server throught webservice.
I use this code in the webservice to generate the XML and after I return the XML to client in a byte[]

Well the File object doesn't create a file it's simply an abstract representation of file and directory pathnames.
You can try something like this:
